  1. As an oil producer I approve of the idea of a meltdown
  2. First person to comment here gets it
  3. While it's very true that BoC should be working to strengthen our new members, it does seem reasonable that we would want to know the culprit(s) too.
  4. Oh ok good. I thought it was something sexual… ಠ_à²
  5. I'd vote processor, just because you can get more use out of it, and you'll have more money afterward. Plus, if you have other guns, you could always shoot them while raising money for a new one.
  6. I'll also put you in this year's legislative elections.
  7. Could a spy that I hired help catch a person trying to hurt someone that wasn't me? If so, maybe we should send our spies to protect new members. Whoever it is though is going to have h*ll to pay when we catch them. I won't be surprised if it's an organized effort… The question is why us.
  8. Same here . But I do agree that only iron, lead, aluminum, and maybe munitions need to be changed. Otherwise, I think it looks pretty good.
  9. Yeah this is weird. Even if you didn't have enough coal, it should technically only shut down one city, not all of them . SHEEPY?!?!
  10. Great to have more players on . Welcome aboard.
  11. Ok… Fistofdoom will run against Mikhail Gorbachev for leadership of Mongolitana.
  12. ALOT. Plus, you will gain air superiority, which will immensely help you.
  13. I just got hit too! !@#$ity !@#$ing !@#$
  14. The Republic of Mongolitana is angered and saddened by this horrible happening. We will help you in any way possible.
  15. As promised, Mongolitana has its first ever national election less than one year after its formation after the collapse of "The Fascist State of Asia" which it was forced to be a part of. Background: Interim President Mikhail Gorbachev of the "Moderate Left" party decided to run for a official term as President, and was challenged both for the Presidency and in Parliamentary elections by The Mongolitana People's Party (Far-Right), The Communist Party (Far-Left), and Movement for Mongolitana (Moderate-Right). Amoung the issues discussed were the size of the military, the role environmentalism should play in the government, and the country's membership in the alliance "Brotherhood of Clouds". Also discussed was the fact that Ulaan Baatar, the capital city, is quite a bit wealthier than the other cities. Party Positions: Moderate Left: Keep up development of commerce and resources; mix environmentalism with development; keep a moderate military force; allow Ulaan Baatar to prosper while developing the other cities. Mongolitana People's Party: Spend 20% of budget on military; disregard environmentalism and grow the economy; give harsher penalties for crimes. Cut extra help to other cities (they can get wealthier on their own!) Communist Party: Stop all environment harming economic activities; divide all wealth equally, cut all military budget. Movement for Mongolitana: Allow more economic activities such as coal extraction while keeping some regulation; increase military size; cut some aid to the poorer cities while keeping most. The Moderate Left party was roundly criticized by all parties for joining the Brotherhood Of the Clouds at the beginning of Gorbachev's turn, and the nation as a whole was sick of alliances after the previous years of mistreatment, but the membership has been prolifically successful for Mongolitana, so now Gorbachev and ML have been able to go on the attack. Presidential Results: Nationwide: Mikhail Gorbachev (ML): 86,486 78.5% Xu Intao (MM) 12,339 11.2% Greta Johnson (CP) 6,720 6.1% Scott Powers (MPP) 4,628 4.2% Total Voters: 110,173 (Turnout: 89.3%) Ulaan Baatar Mikhail Gorbachev (ML): 89.0% Xu Intao (MM) 3.8% Greta Johnson 2.1% Scott Powers 5.1% Total Voters: (Turnout: 91.3%) Erdenet: Mikhail Gorbachev (ML): 76.8% Xu Intao (MM) 15.6% Greta Johnson 3.4% Scott Powers 4.2% Total Voters: (Turnout: 90.6%) Darkhan: Mikhail Gorbachev (ML): 57.5% Xu Intao (MM) 17.7% Greta Johnson 25.5% Scott Powers 0.3% Total Voters: (Turnout: 85.4%) Mikhail Gorbachev cruised to reelection as President of Mongolitana. A parade took place in every city in celebration. In his acceptance speech, Gorbachev thanked everyone for their votes but also stressed that as a country Mongolitana needs to work together and citizens need to listen to each other if they hope to find success. All competitors called him to congratulate him. Legislative Elections are a bit more tricky to tabulate, so I'll need more time for that.
  16. Both of you are right, I just wouldn't want one silly post to screw up all the hard work Lord Frostworth has done for the Alliance.
  17. Was a new thread really necessary? I don't know… I'm sorry… But I don't want people getting the wrong ideas. Plus, this is the first new thread in this sub-forum in a while
  18. It appears I have put my foot in my mouth. When I posted earlier about nations "squatting" on white, I was referring merely to one-nation alliances that ARE INACTIVE driving the worth of a color down. I did not realize that alliances smaller than 300 points total were not factored in. I was not trying to claim white for BoC nor was I complaining about small but active alliances.
  19. Ohh I didn't know that about the 300 rule. Thanks for that info.
  20. … because they're not playing? If they were actually doing things, you would be right.
