  1. CYBERTIMES Issue 3 Pre-release Announcement Greetings, Orbis community! This is an early announcement from Cyberdyne Systems regarding the upcoming release of Issue 3 of Cybertimes Magazine. - Moving forward, we will be publishing our magazines in the Orbis Central section of the forum instead of Alliance Affairs. - If you're interested in becoming a part of the magazine committee to contribute news or create a wiki about your alliance, please don't hesitate to send a direct message to Lord Skeleton on Discord. - For those looking to secure a banner AD or a full-page AD in the magazine, we recommend getting in touch with us as soon as possible, as there are only four advertising spaces available, and they tend to be in high demand. - We genuinely value feedback, criticism, and suggestions from our readers. Your input is greatly appreciated! (You can use this forum thread to share your views with us!) - If you'd like your alliance to be featured in the next issue, please reach out to Lord Skeleton on Discord. We look forward to bringing you the next magazine issue soon. Until then, stay safe and take care! Best regards, Lord Skeleton. 2. Edit: I've applied a fix for the tiny voting window as best I can, you may need to do a hard refresh of the page for it to fix. Regarding AI: I am aware of the controversy regarding ai submissions, ultimately this is a failing by me as the event organizer to update rules for a modern issue. However, it would be immensely poor form for me to change rules after the event has already started so ai submissions will be allowed to stand for voting and the community can reward them or not based on votes. I am aware this is less than kind to the people who fully committed to high effort original works, to that end staff will be distributing additional prizes to such works at the end of the event. We are now entering the voting phase of the contest which will run until game day change on the 30th. Winners will be confirmed on the 31st but it may take up to a week to distribute prizes. You can vote in the poll above by selecting your favorite pumpkins in the above poll, you can select however many you want but keep in mind the more you select the more you water down your votes. To address the elephant in the room; I didn't really consider ai art when I wrote the rules for this competition and I'm not going to change them this late into the event, so ai art is being allowed. However this topic will be reconsidered for future events. Additionally some other submissions have been excluded because they are not original, do not contain a pumpkin or pumpkin substitute, or do not relate to PW in a meaningful way. If this includes your submission you can reach out to me in DM for clarification on staff's reasoning. A big thank you to the 65 contestants who have made it to voting and everyone who has submitted. While it is too late to be entered into the grand prize voting you can still submit in the submissions thread linked below for the participation prizes and a chance at the Staff Selection prizes through the 31st.

  4. The game was VERY active in 2016-2018. The game stopped being as interesting when NPO got deleted. Let’s just put it out there. Everything that happened after was bland and an overcorrection from the alliances in charge because people didn’t want any hegemonies or actual OOC beef. Before the game was almost majority OOC beef. Think about it: SK/Guardian thought Rose/Keegoz were dumb so they planned to backstab them. Pfieffer was rude to a bunch of people which caused Rose to dislike them. That caused several wars. TKR backstabbing NPO because they didn’t trust Roq like they did Jasmine. Steve-Partisan beef which caused a super long war. Hans getting reelected that started a war, Point is there were a ton of actual OOC issues that caused IC wars. There was beef on both sides and people disliked one another. Nowadays people don’t interact with each other(not because of discord) but because of the overcorrection. Moderators are quick to stop alliances/members from flaming/hazing other people. Look at the cuck memes for Taroq, they deleted all of them multiple times. point is the game completely changed after NPO got deleted. Even Alex changed certain things so it couldn’t happen again. The overcorrection has resulted in this game becoming stale. which is why I will reiterate that @Alex should get rid of people on the development team and bring in people who have different ideas. All the new ideas and things have had little effect on the actual gameplay and have barely been received positively in most cases. Otherwise we will just be going down the same exact road we’ve been going.

  6. Grumpy and T$ working together? Are you sure you didn't go to Australia by mistake?

  7. Isn't part of the upcoming war changes that beige won't start reducing until all wars have finished? Perhaps a solution to the issue you bring up here is to not block spying until beige starts reducing?

  8. I don't think it's a bad idea, but it might be problematic for a nation that is in beige but still has active wars. Preventing them from being spied or, or them spying on their opponents, may cause the opposite result of the intention of the suggestion.
