Ibrahim is the only driven by his religion here on this. My part is just to tell him that his religion is not as perfect as he proclaims all the while insulting the others. I'm not Zoroastrian, nor are most people due to Islam's efforts, and even Ibrahim doesn't think that (though he has accused me of being a "dirty Jew" or something like that). 

 

Anyway, all of those in the know are aware debating whatever religion is better is pretty moot. Yahweh, Allah, and other such names are just ways to address the Demiurge that has imprisoned man in the material world with his religions of ignorance being his cage. The only way is free yourself of the Demiurge is through knowledge, not faith. Knowledge first granted when Lucifer, the light bringer, went against the Demiurge (who wanted humanity to be his mindless worshiping slaves) and gave humanity knowledge.

Ibrahim has in his past writings used the term "people of the book" to refer to protection and state that is an example of Islamic piety. I of course am in full agreement with you that it was merely political not any actual kindness. Christians and Jews being "people of the book" is one thing. Zoroastrians, Buddhists, Hindus, and such is quite another. 

 

I have already presented my evidence, so now kindly present what evidence you have to support your counter argument, that Zoroastrians were not regarded as "people of the book" during the Islamic conquest of Persia.

It's fine to defend your religion when it truly does come under attack, but when you defend your religion on the backs of people who commit crimes in the name of said religion, in this case, Islam, I find great fault with that.

 

You can believe whatever you want, you can follow any religion you like, but you can't defend it against the truth. The truth that every religion has committed crimes in the name of their religion. How can you justify murder? Violence? Racism? Sexism? Bigotry? Ignorance? The very things your religion proposes not to do? To me, this makes no sense and shows the same ignorance that the people who commit these atrocities also have.

This is all very one sided, as each of those incidents involves Militants engaged in war with various armed adversaries. So either you are assuming that there was no on-going conflict within those countries at the time of these incidents (not true). Or you're claiming that those militants were solely responsible for the killing of civilians (which is simply ridiculous). Or that they were responsible for the killing of most number of civilians (highly debatable).

 

Let's just put things into perspective in Syria...

Nonsense. As said their bogus reports were used by western media and politicians because they wanted to manipulate people into wanting a war with Assad. The fact a corrupt war mongering media/politicians use it is no evidence of being respected or accurate.   

 

The only reason you even see them as the least bit credible is because they whitewash the crimes of your ISIS buddies by attributing most of it to Assad, of all of bloody things that is your reason.
