I was wondering what the best choice was, should I make Resources to make money or build supermarkets/banks/malls?

Peace will never be accomplished without war, but war cannot happen without peace.... or something like that idk

It also depends on how much infra you have in that city. Supermarkets are barely worth getting, the bonus from 1 bank only outweighs the upkeep at like, 500 infra, and don't even bother with stadiums before 700.

So go for resources below 500, a mix between 500-700, and then maximum commerce + however many slots you have left for resources.

As you sow, so shall you reap

Commerce all the way. After all, that's what I did. Of course, someone could say that resources were dirt cheap at reset and my strategy no longer applies but they usually shut up after the 2nd missile.

It entirely depends on you. Want to make sure money and can't be active enough to track market trends and sell regularly? Go commerce. If you can do all that then I'd def. say go with the market.

Or, in my case, you're perfectly active enough to undercut people constantly and become a hard hitter on the market, but lol effort. ヽ( 。 ヮ゚)ノ

Shut up underlordgc! The great thing about this game is that most of the choices you make offer an equally good choice, so you can o either way and still make it the differences in profit would only be a couple hundred, it's really a question of short term profit (trading) or long term growth (commerce) personally I would keep a balance of large cities with a load of commerce, medium cities with a load of resource and pure military cities. With a ratio of 2:2:1 respectively. This will help me for now, until we start producing nukes and start throwing them at each other, at that point I will have to make all my cities cookie cutter cities. But now make a balance of those cities and you really have a choice of any path you want. And the best part about my strategy is that you only have to change 2 your cities to resource or commercial if the market prices go up or down.
