None of them, personally I dont' like standing around while our country gets into 7 wars, the rich keep on getting richer at the expense of the poor and mid-class, and people go around shooting 300 rounds with military-style assault rifles. This is a country not a company!

I am extremely against this. When I was in a military academy, I talked a lot with our RFOs (Resident Faculty Officer or something like that) and heard their stories of watching friends being blown 20 feet in the air by IEDs and stuff. They were really tough guys, and they were in the military active duty for upwards of 15 years. Now the stuff that pisses me off is that if you go off into war and are active duty for 10 years you come out as only a Sergeant, keep in mind that that is the third lowest rank (not including Specialist) and it takes another 10 or so years to go up one more rank. Then you got this 18 year old fresh out of high school that prances into a service academy goes there for a few years and comes out a Lieutenant. Don't get me wrong, I have extreme respect for all our members of the military but it seems just a wrong a guy whose best friends were blown up right in front of them has to salute to a guy whose never seen as much as Canadian soil. I don't want that to become the academy your proposing

This idea still needs more work. Imagine that all your cities run on nuclear plants. Then your forces to relocate from where you were producing tons of it to none. Then your alliance gets into a war with the only large alliance producing a good amount of uranium. You done effed up.

The great thing about this game is that most of the choices you make offer an equally good choice, so you can o either way and still make it the differences in profit would only be a couple hundred, it's really a question of short term profit (trading) or long term growth (commerce) personally I would keep a balance of large cities with a load of commerce, medium cities with a load of resource and pure military cities. With a ratio of 2:2:1 respectively. This will help me for now, until we start producing nukes and start throwing them at each other, at that point I will have to make all my cities cookie cutter cities. But now make a balance of those cities and you really have a choice of any path you want. And the best part about my strategy is that you only have to change 2 your cities to resource or commercial if the market prices go up or down.

I get the feeling that if there is some super-secret third way to by infra, [Guardian] knows it but they just aren't telling us.

It would have been funny if as soon as this thread started you all that were replying started declaring a war on each other. I would like something like a cease-fire on international recognized holidays, Oh wait a minute, there are none! Have you realized that it is not possible to have an international holiday without some minority group freaking out about 'not respecting their religion' or some other crap like that? I prefer the old one. On my device (a Dino-age IPod) it gets the job done, but I don't like it. When I load my nation I get a little sliver of letters down the right side of my screen, which I guess is the description. I don't enjoy the constant pressing of the drop-down menu. I tend to switch between screens a lot and its a pain in the arse to click on it every five seconds. I think you should make it an option in the settings page on whether or not you want the new or old theme. I am just about ripping my hair out. For me it takes twice as long as the old version just for the increased scrolling time, pressing of the drop-down menu, and the constant turning of my iPod from landscape to portrait and back. This is worse than juggling porcupines on the back of a raging bull on the edge of a volcano's crater.

In my earlier post I should have made it more clear when I mentioned Isreal I meant look at the people(religions) trying to take over it. Christians had countless crusades to try to take it, Muslims had countless crusades to take over it and Jews have had some. I wasn't trying to say anything about the Israeli people I was talking about religious groups fighting over that 'Holy Land'

I wrote an essay on the growing problems of the US trying to become some sort of imperialistic power. I believe that nationalism is never good in the ethnic nationalist sense Athanasios was talking about, as for civic nationalsin it is very useful for growing pride, though every country since the end of WW2 seems to take it to far, causing tensions and imperialism. To me the United States is at a point where we are getting slightly to big for our breeches we pretty much are already the worlds policeman, now we want to be the world's military as well which breeds a lot of contempt overseas. In addition to ethnic and civic nationalism, I believe there is a third Religious nationalism, nowadays we could form a new religion and then try and split away from a country under the grounds that it's a 'holy war'. That's an excuse that's been used for ages, I mean just look at Israel.
