Kurdanak
Unless it was recently fixed, you must remove commas from numbers in entry fields. It's a minor inconvenience, but still something that I don't see why it shouldn't be fixed. For example, a purchase field for soldiers would take 3000 but not 3,000.
Kurdanak
If anything, actually, this would be classified as a bug. :x
Ollysho
It mat have something to do with the fact that they're numberical fields or something. I'm not an expert at code but is there a way to even allow commas? Quote [22:36:30] <&CMDR_Adama> I want to be spanked.
Administrators Alex Posted November 25, 2014 Administrators Share Posted November 25, 2014 I think I can have the server side parse out commas. I'll try it on city pages for buying infra/land to start with. Quote Is there a bug? Report It | Not understanding game mechanics? Ask About It | Got a good idea? Grillick
Why would there be a comma in those fields? Quote "It's hard to be a team player when you're omnipotent." - Q
Kurdanak
Why would there be a comma in those fields?I'm having trouble understanding your question, unless the answer is actually as obvious as I see it to be. Any number greater than 999 is shown with a comma in-game. There's several instances where a comma might be used. For example, let's say I want to send someone my income for the day - 112,347. I can copy/paste the number over to be quick and efficient, but to send that amount I have to remove the comma to make 112347. It's a needless inconvenience, with no logical reasoning behind it. Grillick
Sorry Kurd, my question was directed at Sheepy in response to his limited implementation of his fix. Quote "It's hard to be a team player when you're omnipotent." - Q

Administrators Alex Posted November 26, 2014 Administrators Share Posted November 26, 2014 I realized it's pretty useless on the infra/land input boxes, but I threw it into soldiers. I guess the trade screen and bank stuff would be the only other really useful spot for it. Quote Is there a bug? Report It | Not understanding game mechanics? Ask About It | Got a good idea? Jarl Matt
Has it been changed on the bank screen? Because when I put in 200,000 (intending to send two hundred thousand) it makes it 200.... :'( Quote 1x Gentleman of Economics @ TSG 1x Leader @ TSG 1x Minister of Prosperity @ TEL 1x Adviser @ TEL First Recipient of the Order of the Jarl @ TEL - Honoring service to the alliance. 1x Associate @ tS
Aksel
I mean unless you're just copy/pasting a number in to the box...why is it a problem? I can totally decipher 3,456.78 as 3456.78 its not that much of a nuisance.....just my opinion.
Jarl Matt
But I like to put the commas in when I'm writing big numbers because counting 0's is tricky when my eyes are tired.
