Prefontaine
Say nation X produces 100 steel a day, and nation Y has a deal with nation X to buy 25 of that steel daily for a certain price. Instead of having to create that deal daily, would it be possible to create a daily trade option? Every day at the new day (2AM EST) the trade refreshes and completes if the resources/cash are available otherwise the deal terminates?
Gustav Dvornik
This is great.. but what if nation X wants to raise prices? Quote THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF ESTOVAKIA Join the Socialist International now !
Filthy Fifths
This is great.. but what if nation X wants to raise prices? Then alter the daily trade options and have the other nation agree before it continues. Nathan I
Yeah, but what about if Nation Y is unhappy with the price and wants to lower it before the 2AM?
Prefontaine
To change it, the old trade would have to be cancelled, and a new one agreed upon by both parties.
Administrators Alex Posted October 15, 2014 Administrators Share Posted October 15, 2014 We've discussed this before and I think decided it would 1) Be a hassle to code and 2) Potentially be a drain on server resources during updates The best solution I came up with is that, if you wanted to send someone 5 coal/day or w/e, create an offer to sell them 100 coal at X price and have them accept the trade as they need it. If one day they need 5 coal, they enter 5 in the box, and then they still have the option to buy 95 more coal, etc. This doesn't have any impact on server resources because it's not a bunch of operations being ran at once, and provides for what you want to do (with added flexibility, I might add). Hereno
What's the difference between having it show up every 2 hours in my nation and having it show up every 2 hours in their nation? It sounds incredibly simple... you just redirect X proportion of the resources made every day to someone else's nation in exchange for a certain amount of their cash. Jarl Matt
It's about uneccessary server operations. It will slow things down for no reason when we can just get what you want with the work around sheepy suggested.
