Dan77
That's not right is it? Happened to me last night and cost me another 30k soldiers and 1040 tanks to regain it.
Hooves
That's not right is it? Happened to me last night and cost me another 30k soldiers and 1040 tanks to regain it. It's any victory as far as I'm aware.
Dimitri Valko
It's any victory as far as I'm aware. Yeah, any type of defensive defeat on your part, and you lose ground control.
Dan77
Yeah, any type of defensive defeat on your part, and you lose ground control. That's rather silly. Especially when it's classed as a defeat despite losing less of both tanks and soldiers than your opponent.
Hooves
A victory is a victory they say.
LordRahl2
Whats up Dan? PVs are counted as victories. Its basically 2 rolls. One that determines victory status and the other that determines losses. -At least that is how I process it. Dan77
It's nothing I can't deal with. Just a little surprising. I don't think it says it anywhere. The wiki doesn't seem to mention it and while on that point, it also still says that ground control reduces planes effectiveness to 50%, which of course it doesn't. You still have to take on 67%. It would just be nice if these things were clear.

Administrators Alex Posted December 25, 2015 Administrators Share Posted December 25, 2015 It's any victory as far as I'm aware. This is correct. Any sort of non-defeat result (for a ground battle) for your opponent will result in loss of ground control. That's rather silly. Especially when it's classed as a defeat despite losing less of both tanks and soldiers than your opponent. Well, that's more or less the definition of a Pyrrhic victory. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyrrhic_victory Quote Is there a bug? Report It | Not understanding game mechanics? Dan77
OK. Cheers all. I'll shoot Dr Rush a message in a day or 2 about trying to make this a bit clearer/correct on the wiki.
