  1. It's been a while since I've seen one of these, so I figured I'd throw up a thread and see if I get anyone. Propaganda from both sides, go!
  2. I look forward to a long, and fruitful relationship with all of the lads over in Eclipse, and Terminus Est. I've known many folks over there for years, and it's nice to once again be allies. We were all separated once upon a time, but we have reunited, and I can't wait to see what we can do together.
  3. I've tried, I've been told I've been exposed to the disease too long and I can't be allowed to interact with the general public for fear of the sickness spreading
  4. No. I live in Boston, I haven't been ok for 17 years.
  5. Damn I look good in that selfie. You'll have to send it to me sometime.
  6. For all of the "Ouroborous is a hegemony, they're going to kill the game, they can't be trusted, they need to be killed first" I heard from some parties, it's frankly SHOCKING that Ouro won two wars and decided to disband. You mean to tell me those accusations and the people screaming about NPO and IQ were..... Misguided, and incorrect, or using hot button words to try to stir up drama? That doesn't sound like the PnW I'm familiar with.
  7. I appreciate you posting a screenshot of me looking at the numbers and saying "we can't help this" as proof that we apparently..... What? Didn't like the idea? "ooooh you said we didn't have the numbers, you didn't say you disliked the idea, your point about this being a selfish war and us not burning for no purpose to bail us out is ruined by this screenshot of an embassy."
  8. Alright so the time is difficult because of time zones and it's also 1am, so they were told like 1 or 2 hours before day change, not 3. I'm tired, I'm dealing with a migraine, I apologize for my inability to tell time, Romans don't do well with electronic time.
  9. I'll participate in this song and dance again, because this is the forums, and not Royal Orbis News. Cataclysm came to us and said "Hey, we're joining this war on the side of TKR." They made it clear to us that this was not them just joining to attack Midgard, they joined specifically on the side of TKR, to defend them. They were not allies with TKR. They were allies with us. We made it clear that we did not support the idea, and would not get involved, but we said to them "You are a sovereign alliance, we will not tell you what you can and can not do." but we also made it clear to them that we disapproved of this, and would not participate in their plans. Cataclysm joined the war, and as soon as they did, discussions began about ending the tie between us and them, because it was a major breach in trust. People can claim "Oh, well you didn't tell them no, so how could they have breached the trust, you gave them permission, this is your fault" and to those people, I will again point back to the fact that they are a sovereign alliance. They can do as they please, but they also bring upon themselves the repercussions for their actions. They came to us to talk about joining at around 8pm EST, and we made it clear we would not be joining and we asked them what their reasoning for joining was. We asked them what their CB for joining was. We asked them what the benefit to joining was. We received no solid answers, basically only being told "We want to" and soon after we were told "We're going in." Cataclysm made the decision to go in, despite us being opposed to it. Cataclysm had no evident CB to go in. Cataclysm joined solely because they wanted to defend The Knights Radiant, and Withheld Sphere, an enemy sphere of ours that held alliances we were repeatedly hostile with. Cataclysm knew they were going in alone, and that we had no reason nor any interest in joining, and they acknowledged that they were going in entirely alone. Cataclysm came to this decision on their own. They went about it on their own. The repercussions of it are their own. We cut the tie with them three hours before day change, and they were attacked two hours later. Cataclysm acted selfishly, with no regard for what was best for the sphere. Cataclysm was attacked by Eclipse and Terminus Est, because they had joined the war as a third party. People can say whatever they desire about the war, but it was made abundantly clear that the war between Withheld and Midgard did not involve Ouroboros, nor did it involve Wayward. If Cataclysm acted with no regard for their allies, or sphere-mates by joining the war, and bringing members of Ouroboros into the war, something that was clearly likely to occur, why should The Syndicate join the war? We made it clear we didn't want to help TKR. We made it clear we didn't think Cataclysm joining the war was a good idea. We made it clear we were not going to get involved. Cataclysm severed the tie of Wayward when they went against the interest of their allies in joining the war, and they brought this attack upon themselves. Why should The Syndicate join the war to aid them? Why should The Syndicate go against what is best for itself to hold the hand of a former ally who foolishly joined a war they had no business joining? If The Syndicate joins the war against Eclipse and Terminus Est, it is clear and obvious to everyone present that Rose will militarize and join the war, and Wayward and Withheld are by no means strong enough to defeat both Midgard and Ouroboros together, but that there is the crux of the matter. People do not care about the "sacred importance of the treaty." People do not care about the "Betrayal of one's allies." People do not care about the "Reputation and Legacy of The Syndicate." People are angry that The Syndicate looked at a situation, saw that it was a disaster, and chose to not join. People are angry that The Syndicate looked at a war that it had no business joining, and knew would be a disaster if it joined, and chose to act in the interest of itself, and its members. People are angry that The Syndicate is not going join a war only to be defeated and take a massive amount of damage, so people can mock it. People are angry that The Syndicate chose the logical path, the same path that I point out the vast majority of people in Orbis would have chosen. So no, The Syndicate does not apologize for not giving you all entertainment. No, The Syndicate does not apologize for making an unpopular decision. No, The Syndicate does not apologize for not sacrificing itself for an ally that cared nothing for it, and enemies that mocked it and attacked it at practically every chance they had been given in the past. If you all believe your words will shame The Syndicate into making an idiotic decision that does not benefit itself and instead casts aside the wellbeing of the alliance for no reason, than I urge you to look in the mirror, because you're living a fantasy. -Gaius Julius Caesar, Imperator of Imperium Romanum, Vice President of Public Relations
  10. Jupiter preserve me, the damned timeline is more twisted here than the Gordian Knot! Valentinian? Cicero? Justinian? Marcus Agrippa? Tiberius? Germanicus? All on the same boat, to go to fight a war with Carthage? I haven't been this confused since I went drinking with Bacchus a few campaigns back, lad!
  11. Over my two years in T$, I was fortunate enough to have more interactions with the various members of House Stark than I can recall. I can say without a shadow of a doubt, the bond House Stark and The Syndicate shared was one of a kind, and the love and brotherhood we shared shall hold a special place in my heart for as long as I played this game. It was truly an honour, and a privilege to call House Stark an ally, and I wish nothing but the best for you all. Greatness lays on the horizon, Ataxia of House Stark. May you and yours reach out and seize it. May all of Orbis know the glory and strength of House Stark as myself, and other members of The Syndicate learned over the years, and may we one day again share a hearth and ale. Vale, amice vetus. Benedictus sis a Marte.
  12. Congratulations to everyone on peace. I have to say however, the NAP is a surprising one to me. As @Zed and @Dr James Wilson said in their posts, I was under the impression that members of this war were against NAPs as a concept? Rose and their allies at the time, as well as Grumpy and Guardian and Oblivion I believe all signed a public treaty, stating all of them disagreed with NAPs, especially ones that lasted longer than the war that was just fought. @Marikayou were the one who announced the treaty, if I recall. Am I missing any sort of details?
  13. Boogie-Woogie will always hold a special place in my heart.
  14. As WANA's man of honour, I will gladly give my speech praising him and wishing this a fruitful and long lasting and loving marriage..... As soon as I finish writing the speech.
  15. This isn't a major change that would be made, but I feel it's kinda just time for it to happen, as the current system is really outdated. As the title of the forum post says, I want to propose the idea of removing the revenue cap on the different colour bonuses. In the game, we now have five different colours that have reached the cap, those colours being Green, Orange, Brown, Olive, and Yellow. The 75K cap per turn has been in place, as far as I know, since before I started playing back in early 2018, and it's majorly outdated. The mechanics it uses haven't really changed, but the way the game works has changed majorly. Back in 2018, and I'll show my age here, there were no players who had reached 40 cities. The first player to hit 40 cities was Seb, and he did that in May of 2019. Since that time, we now have 3 nations who have 50 or more cities, and 81 additional nations who have 40 or more cities. There are more cities than ever, there are higher infra levels than ever, and the mechanic is still "Average Daily Monetary Net Revenue / Nations" which I think is just outdated. I don't think an uncap of the daily colour revenue would be anything revolutionary, but I simply think five colours being capped, and the mechanic not changing in the past four and a half years plus is just too long, and it should be changed. If someone manages to get it so their colour bonus would give forty million per day if it wasn't capped, let them. They should be rewarded for the work they've put into their colour bonus, and perhaps having it uncapped would give players more to politic about, with people trying to do all they can to get their colour bonus as high as possible, instead of just understanding that the colour bonus basically just gives an extra million per day if they do enough right to cap it.
  16. @Alex I want to point out that this happened because of you. You have allowed this to happen for multiple years, YEARS. You have allowed this to happen for so long that it has become a literal military strategy known to every block in the game, and then suddenly You change how you enforce it. If you want to change how you enforce the rule, that's fine, it's your game, but have the decency to make a post and/or an announcement in game saying that you are aware of how things used to be, but you are changing it, and state the reason you are changing it. Let people know that the enforcement is changing, as opposed to changing without telling anyone, and punishing people for not being aware of how you are switching enforcement. You're giving people strikes for something that was allowed for years, as far as I understand.
  17. I don't expect an alliance to tell anyone to militarize up. Mutually de-milling though because you want peace and say repeatedly that you don't want to fight and have no CB and have no beef and have no reason to fight someone, and then instantly turning around and attacking when they listen and do decom though? I didn't expect that.
  18. Bezzers, my friend, I like to be kind to the elderly, so I'll be gentle here. What in the name of Jupiter are you smoking, and can I get some? Let me break each of these down in turn. "Something, something, unchecked and unrivaled economic advantage" You, my friend, are in a bloc that has existed since 23rd May 2021, which was 403 days ago. In those thirteen and a half months, Hollywood has lost a single war, and has not rebuilt since September. You were defeated in Brawlywood, which was 285 days ago, nine and a half months ago, and since then you have not lost once, and indeed in the pursuit of not having to be defeated and not wanting your economic advantage to be ruined, you signed The Immortals. If there is ANY bloc or sphere in this game that has zero right to talk about unchecked and unrivaled economic growth and advantage, it is Hollywood, so don't come in here with that weak stuff. "That MDP was formed to stop a rather tired out trend of people skirmishing to lower infra before rolling onto a bigger target." Friend, that is perfectly fine, but don't then do that same exact thing of fighting someone and then roll at a bigger target that has no reason to expect war from you, and then say other people doing it was bad. I gave Clock grief for it, and then you go and do it yourself. I'm not claiming the war with CoA was to shave infra, but I do find it amusing that you say it's a tired trend, when it's almost exactly what happened with CoA. "This war is about making sure neither of the two larger spheres, including us, become completely unmanageable." This one right here, this is the money shot. Friend, I addressed this point in what you were responding to. If you wanted to make sure neither sphere became too large and unmanageable, you could have done that, and you could have done it even better, when both sides were fully milled up and expecting war, instead of waiting for one side to be decommed. Hollywood said so many times during The Big $hort or whatever it's called that their CBs were as follows. "Grumpy: Constant targeting & antagonizing by T$ + Allies against Grumpy" as friend Ronny said, and I'm paraphrasing here, "I attacked T$. The slate is wiped clean, the ball is in Blackwater's court" The Knights Radiant: "BW going without a loss and picking easy wars including targeting HW" FRIEND, WHAT DO YOU CALL THIS? Hollywood has gone thirteen months with a single loss, and instead of fighting a more difficult war, when people were milled, and as I've said repeatedly we would have been perfectly content to fight back then, but we didn't due to having no reason to, Hollywood said "No, let's decom and have peace instead" Despite what @Borg said, I'm not angry nor am I shocked. I'm disappointed perhaps, but not shocked or angry. it makes perfect logical sense to shave infra and attack an opponent who is not milled up and expecting war, but evidently my friend Borg, they wanted to make sure neither side grew too powerful, so I would think they would want a challenging war, to set both sides back, as opposed to waiting until a target is disarmed and attacking then. I eagerly and hopefully await that @Adrienneis correct, and that some of the good ladies and gentlemen in Hollywood can come forward and provide context to what is happening, because nothing my friend Bezzers has said here makes a lick of sense.
  19. On the one hand, I appreciate the opportunity to pass time, and I never turn down the chance to burn some pixels of fools, but on the other hand, I do have to raise an eyebrow at the logic of this. If Hollywood wanted to fight someone, they had the chance, people were milled up in the past month or so, Clock was fighting people, people were saying "Hey Hollywood, go fight Celestial or Clock" back then, but Morf and Hollywood says "No, we don't want to fight people, we will instead propose a peace treaty with Celestial, we will ask for mutual disarmaments of alliances, and don't worry that we will mill up, it's just that we need to fight The Circus." Instead of fighting back then, when everyone was ready for war, and happy and waiting for conflict, Hollywood proposed the treaty, Celestial agrees to it, and instead, a month and a week later when Celestial has decommed as was agreed, Hollywood randomly blitzes them with no CB? We have Ronny out here saying "This isn't my war, I don't have a CB, this isn't politics for Grumpy" and we have Wizel not giving a CB. I'm still waiting for an actual reason for this war besides "We were bored, and Celestial wasn't expecting war because we said repeatedly that we had no beef with them, and they decommed in the Peace In Our Times Agreement, so we think we can have an easy war here." I await Wizel, or Morf, or Ronny, or anyone else to come forward and actually explain what this is about? It's clearly not "We want a fun war" because if you wanted a fun, competitive war, you could have had it a month ago instead of telling us you didn't want war and were afraid of Clock being rude and attacking one of us.
  20. I had known Red for almost exactly three years, we met on June 17, 2019, the start of NPO's Last Time. Back then, I was some no name scrub kid in BK, and he was in the first round blitz that hit me, alongside @Vexz. Both were members of Valinor back then, and I was amazed by the kindness both showed me. Despite being on different sides of the war, despite having every reason to dislike me, despite having every reason to not want to talk to me, Red was always one of the kindest, warmest, most gentle souls I knew, and his name was one of the first that came to mind when times were rough and I needed someone to speak to, and get emotional support from. To get the news that he had passed broke my heart, and I refused to believe it. I still can hardly believe it, the idea that such a kind soul has been taken from us, far too soon, far before his time, is absolutely crushing. I will miss him dearly, and I will never forget him, nor will I forget the kindness he showed me and others. My most heartfelt condolences to all who knew and loved Red, especially the members of ASM. Losing family is one of the most painful experiences one can go through. No goodbye is forever, my friend, for we shall see each other again one day in another life. For now, @Redarmy, keep a beer ready for me, brother. I'll be sure to bring jokes and stories for you when we meet again, and I'll be sure to pass on the kindness and love you showed me.
  21. "The man T$ man showed logs after Keegoz leaked logs first. How dare he respond in kind, to show the actual story, instead of just allowing Mr Keegoz to come up with a false narrative."
  22. My hair is black, please repost this with my correct hair colour
  23. I can understand what you're talking about, I did try to answer that last night, I forgot about that, but logged off before I finished. I forget exactly what my thought process was, I'm sure there was something brilliant, since I was like 7 cups of coffee by that point of the night, But that's besides the point. I think some people here have addressed to an extent the issue of the precedent, But I'll give it my best shot. I don't think it will become a precedent due to the fact that it's Not exactly common for this situation to align for it to happen. It happened with Oasis and mystery Inc, if my memory serves, and both got absolutely rocked for it. It's happening right now, because both celestials and Hollywood, are suspicious of Clock. I wasn't involved in the decision making for this, but I imagine a large part of it was driven by the fact that neither sphere trusts clock, and both expect them, or did expect them at least, to try to do the same thing they did when they fought Oasis, which is beat the hell out of a weak sphere, Make people think that that sphere was the target they wanted, And then when their actual target relaxes, and let's down its guard, they get blitzed. I don't think this is going to become a common thing, because most spheres are not going to try to do what clock did in the past, and most spheres are trusted enough to be taken at their word when they say who their target is. At the end of the day, to summarize what I'm trying to say, posting on the forums on a cell phone while at work is really annoying, is that this won't become a precedent due to the fact that this is an out of the ordinary situation. Most spheres are not mistrusted to the extent that no one believes what they say, and most spheres are not expected to use beating up on one weak sphere as a distraction to attack a different sphere that was distracted and not expecting war.
  24. Did Kev ask me something? I've been busy with work, I might have missed a notification in there somewhere. @Kevanovia what did you ask me, mate? I'd never ignore my adoring fans.
