  1. 1. I live in a rural area. I'm working class. You don't know what you're talking about mkay?.... 2. Stalin wasn't even a communist. He was a psychopathic, racist, discriminating, egotistical tyrant on par with Hitler. His policies are what forever screwed the USSR from actually following a communist path. If anything, he was just a brutal dictator that killed millions of his own people in a paranoid rage while enforcing racist and discriminatory policies that were anything but communist. Overall, he is quite possibly the least communist communist leader ever. A+ for stupid posts in this thread tho.
  2. But he actually has according to paper. And we're to believe that such a schemer is going to change the system that put him in power? Many politicians have made this claim. Not one has done so. At least Jackson tried to change the course of the world before suddenly going all genocide. No, the US government would not be reluctant to shoot their own citizens. Tell that to every political rebellion that the feds have put down (because there have been a lot). IDK what history you've been reading but our own soldiers have killed unarmed college protesters in recent history. The feds have shot down nationalists in Texas and countless others who've stood up to the federal government. So much for your delusion that our soldiers would never kill Americans even if ordered by the president. Recent history says they need only be ordered by the towns mayor. Mass organization in urban areas? You mean like occupy wallstreet? Yeah, that did nothing. Not to mention that urban areas have tight gun restrictions with heavily militarized police. So an actual armed standoff would just be a quick shoot out with a few dead bodies to show for it at best. That's it. Do you have any idea how many times this has actually been attempted in US history? The civil war might have been the most notable, but it certainly wasn't the only time people organized a militia against the government. Nor is it the only time they've been crushed with overwhelming force.
  3. A socialist militia succeeding at anything in the worlds most capitalist nation which bears the worlds strongest army? Yeahno.... The strength of a determined person is easily crushed under a tiny bullet. Just ask LaVoy or the countless other political militia men that have been gunned down over the last 200 years or so. I think you underestimate the resources and expertise of the US government. They've put down tons of groups with this same idea over the course of centuries. Determination only goes as far as you're physically capable. A 20lbs bomb can make that determination turn into a pile of scorched flesh quite quickly. Not to mention that we're talking about a nation where most people are too ignorant to vote let alone fight a war against a God like military.
  4. FTFY. Also, this is something I legit considered. But at the end of the day, the Canada is just an American puppet like half the planet so it matters little where one moves. Might as well stay here and just accept that my president is a complete retard. At worst, we invade Mexico or go bankrupt like Trump.
  5. No, the Odal rune has ALWAYS symbolized meanings like heritage, higher social status and the like. The Nazis did not re-invent it's meaning by any means. It has always meant the same thing. Similar to the Wolfsangel, also heavily used by Nazis, which would be more of a nationalist symbol and has always maintained it's meaning. I'm also aware that the Sun Cross is used by white supremacists, but to me and my heritage, it symbolizes the mother goddess or "God" and always will. It's a symbol that even my family uses and they certainly are not Nazis. But off the topic of symbols.... Who here is a Nazi? I mean I have no doubt that the rank of NoR would contain Nazis, but I'm also sure that not all of them are Nazis. In fact, I'm inclined to believe most (nowadays) aren't. Though I'm also probably not as familiar with their members or other Nazis in these games as you may be.... So I'm just curious, who is a Nazi here? I mean I'm actually more inclined to believe that RL Nazis playing this game are most often members of alliances that have nothing to do with Nazism. Hell, we had some devout Nazi in The Sith Empire for a while along with the other variations of the same group under numerous names that had nothing to do with Nazism. Which brings me to my next point, which is that RP is not RL. If someone was RPing as a Nazi, I wouldn't immediately think they were a RL Nazi. I mean, I've RP'd as a communist, an anarchist and a capitalist. In any case, I think you're jumping the gun on this one.
  6. I picked out at least 10 runes and numerous other Nordic symbols. But like I said, that doesn't even scratch the surface of the Nazis use of runes and Nordic symbols. The swastika (Hakencreuz) is a variant of a sun cross or sun wheel often used by numerous pagan cultures from all over the globe, despite the common misconception that it was stolen from Hinduism. The origin of the Hakencruez is explained in Mein Kampf. Although not a rune, it can safely be described as being heavily inspired by Nordic symbolism. The Nazis used runes all the time. Quite possibly all the runes there are. The seal of Ahnenerebe has the division name written entirely in runes. Even furniture in Nazi Germany was decorated with runes. Do you even understand how much inspiration the Nazis took from Nordic symbolism? It effectively makes up half or more of their all of their symbolism. Do you think Volks Wagons are Nazi too? As for the Odal rune, it's true meaning is the "o" sound and a symbol of heritage and comes in several variations. It is still in use today by the modern German Army. Although the "winged" version displayed in the OPs flag was first created by the Nazis it is very commonly used by Neo-Pagans who worship Odin with no relation to Nazism.
  7. Isn't this what every socialist says about every other socialist?
  8. No, I'm not. I just don't think everything with a rune is the product of Nazis. In fact, I'm not even sure what exactly made you assume there was anything Nazi about this. I saw your initial response where you pointed out that the Odal was used by an SS division, however, the SS used tons and tons of runes in their symbolism. I'd be surprised if there is a rune or Nordic symbol they didn't use. For example, here is a list of the Waffen SS divisions along with the patches/markings they used to symbolize each division: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Waffen-SS_divisions 38 in all and I'd say about half of them are symbolized with runes. But that doesn't even scratch the surface of the Nazis use of runes. So it can't just be the rune that makes you think this is Nazi. Perhaps it's the colors? Unfortunately, red white and yellow have been the colors of Norway almost forever. In fact, making the flag look more traditionally Norwegian would actually make it look even more Nazi, with the cross and all. So what else? The white circle over a red backdrop? That's just a typical leftist symbol, used by not only Nazis, but also Bolsheviks and even Latin Americans from northern California: ^This flag is flown primarily by Mexicans in Northern California and has become synonymous with Nortenos. Considering I know a few, I think I can safely say there is nothing Nazi about them. So where exactly is all the Nazism in this? We've been getting along lately and I'd rather not spoil that, but I really do find it insulting the way you attack people for using runes. I have a great appreciation for the Vikings, their culture and history and I hate seeing their symbolism equated to Nazism. NoR is different. They actually use Nazi imagery and their alliance incorporates many German "Reich" themes, but I think you're going a bit overboard with this one.
  9. Nordic symbols were used, so of course Hereno has to pop in and accuse everyone of being a Nazi..... C'mon Hereno. I actually find it insulting that you equate runes to Nazis. Especially when this is clearly a Viking theme.
  10. I would actually expect higher casualties than that. The war in Syria alone, without even including Iraq, already has a higher death toll. The North Koreans would not shy away from unconventional warfare. Just crossing the DMZ would be a bloodbath.
  11. Actually, it should apply to Christians, as well as all of the old Jewish laws. Jesus himself said that he did not intend to change the rules of the old covenant, but complete them. Also, this idea that "sin doesn't apply to us because we are 'saved'" is a misinterpretation. Salvation does not make you incapable of sin.
  12. Isn't what we have now "tested?" A handful of forum loud mouths testing something for a couple weeks seems to produce negative results. As seen with the posting of this thread....
  13. You know what? I have a revolutionary idea. We should just get rid of the war system so we don't need to create a new one every 6 months. Thoughts?
  14. So the smaller nations can focus on military to protect themselves from Arrgh while the larger nations like the forum loud mouths get even richer? Sounds pretty counter productive to smaller nations while larger nations reap the benefit. Sounds like a ponzi scheme.
  15. So basically what you're saying is that we've found the most effective strategy, others haven't caught on, so Arrgh should be punished for playing better than everyone? This sounds reasonable....
  16. The biggest proof that this isn't a problem is that literally anyone can do what Arrgh does. But because Arrgh has figured out the best strategy, it's somehow a problem just because nobody else has picked up on it. They would rather build pixels as fast as they can to compete with everyone else doing the same thing, than take an approach that would protect their members. If that's anyone fault at all, it's theirs.... [iC: The !@#$ are you all embargoing me for? Do you think I actually trade with anyone at all?]
  17. You sir, have just formulated the opinion of a reversed Christian, but more specifically, the opinion of an old friend of mine. To sum up her beliefs: Satan is a God of knowledge. He grants humanity with knowledge and personal intellect, in defiance of a God who opposes human knowledge and personal intellect. The best example of this is in Genesis when Eve meets the serpent. The Serpent grants her knowledge and in return, God punishes her. Going further back, if you buy into the story of Lilith, this further suggests the idea that God created people to be mindless and unintelligent. Suggesting that Lilith was a mistake and Eve was created from Adams rib solely so that she could not defy him. There are countless other examples of this "freedom fighter vs crazy dictator" type status throughout the bible. Another example is the amount of people killed by God in comparison to those killed by Satan and the reasons for which all of these people were killed. Satan seems to be far more subtle, far less direct, and extremely non-vengeful. Allowing people to make decisions rather than lashing out. Overall, I'm quite intrigued by the reversed Christian opinion that Satan is a liberator against an oppressive God. Using the same religious texts as its references, it tells a completely opposite story, that arguably makes even more sense.
  18. So you enjoy the war mechanics being changed in the middle of your wars? Oh wait, I'm talking to a GPA member.....
  19. And yet I'm not exactly playing. Waiting for you to make something stick. EDIT: And like twice I think. That' not what I said at all. War policies are just some bonus you can apply to your nation and change whenever you want. They aren't complex, they're kinda stupid. My point is you don't have to add things for no reason.
  20. All three of those religions are supposed to not eat pork. In reality he's just a troll, but he claims to be Catholic.
