--Update-- After further searching, the only thing that remained of Rokkenjima was what appears to be some sort of portal. It is unknown where it leads to, and anyone who has tried to enter doesn't return. The entire area has been declared unsafe and any ongoing investigations have ceased.

At exactly 12 A.M. this morning, a giant explosion rocked the island nation of Rokkenjima. The cause of the explosion is currently unknown, however whatever it was created a blast large enough to decimate the entire island. Investigation agencies from neighboring countries attempted an investigation to determine the cause of this accident, however no trace of the island remained, and it is estimated that there were no survivors of the explosion. Some speculate that the witches escaped harm, but it is uncertain. Just what was Rokkenjima, and what were the motives of the witches who ran it? These are all secrets that Rokkenjima took with it to its grave. --Update-- A local fisherman on the neighboring island of Niijima discovered a message bottle with a note inside. The letter was supposedly written by Ushiromiya Maria, a resident of Rokkenjima. These were the letter’s contents: By the time you have read this, I will probably be dead. The only difference will be whether there is a body or not. You who have read this. Please find out the truth. That's my only wish. — Ushiromiya Maria
