  2. I think they are going to have to carry something a little bigger than swivel guns on their decks to do any real damage.
  3. Actually, I'd wager Stalin's legacy in some ways continues. For example, the FSB bombing Russian buildings and framing the Chechens? Seems like a text book NKVD operation to me.
  4. Love it. Sherman was talking trash to Revis all night, and his team can't even run the ball on a second and one. Go home Richard, you're drunk.
  5. Why is it when I hear Gregory House, I think of 404Error?
  6. Not everyone uses IRC though. If the communication is earnest and well intended, the interested parties should be willing to meet in a neutral or common medium. IE; people shouldn't be forced to go to IRC, people should read private messages.
  7. It looks like Romney got forced out following a series of high profile campaign staffers defected to the Jebster. I personally think the establishment is directing that Jeb will be the nominee. Horrible idea, since another Bush would not only be bad for image, but bad for America.
  8. Not only that, bur greed as well. "As soon as a population decides that it can vote, largress, from the public treasury, a society is doomed". I'm paraphrasing of course, but you get the gist.
  9. Education and a "decent" life are subjective, and therefore aren't rights but rather cultural norms. For instance, in many cultures, women are satisfied with being mothers, and the keepers of a home. They have no interest in pursuing careers or attaining political office. Some would say outside pressure to force this on them is a violation of their right to maintain a culture and custom that has existed there for generations. Examples would be Old Order Amish, as well as the middle east and in the far east. Also, if a body must adopt a document affirming these rights, then the are not endowed inherently, but given and can thusly be taken away. That's not freedom. Freedom would be for someone to believe in a diety, and that belief cannot be taken away.
  10. Congrats to both parties for working out a solution for peace.
  11. Can you provide an inviolable example of tangible political freedom?
  12. Freedom is actually an illusion. However spiritual freedom to me is more rewarding and infinitely more tangible.
  13. So you're telling me you have no members in range, or that you don't bother to recruit anyone who cares to do anything but embargo? Because I don't even know how trading werks.
  14. You got your ass kicked because your alliance is virtually incpapable of performing on any professional level. As a side note, Dong is a national treasure in my country. We will defend him to the last.
  15. We congratulate you on your wise decision to eliminate the enemies of the working class.
  16. I'll admit, I was a douche. My apologies, and looking forward to getting to know you much better than I judged you previously. Cheers!
  17. Something tells me Saeton is actually Swiper from Galava...
  18. Just so long as people stop thinking Bernie is anti-corporation. He's anti-corporations that aren't in his corner. The guy still rakes in tons of cash, and Big Unions are essentially corporations now as it is.
  19. I helped make portions of the game interesting at least. I still remember the TGE trolling of Nordreich. Good times...
  20. To me, a Republic is more desirable than flat out Democracy.
  21. There were really only a few who were of any real success. Most either squandered the wealth created by the provincial economies, spent more time eliminating perceived domestic threats than shoring up the borders that exists, or alienated potential allied peoples in favor of latinization that ultimately lead to a shortage of Latin forces in the legions. You seem to have a grossly romantic view on Rome. I suggest less Gladiator, and more history.
