Rozalia of Great Bedford concurs with you in this report. Supermarkets for your citizens to get goods are a waste. I personally make all citizens petition and pay the government to provide them a bushel of grain to eat... seeds they grow themselves not the crop itself anyway. Policy has been a success though there have been cases of peasants eating the seeds and then starving to death. A loss of manpower to be sure, but on the plus side I have a steady supply of meat and bones for my hounds.
