Erroneous formulas on the wiki

Hi all,

 

I've been trying to figure out all the math behind P&W, and while the wiki has helped with the basic idea behind the calculations, many of the formulas seem to be written incorrectly. For example, disease death is listed as:
 

Disease Deaths: (Disease / 10) + (Infrastructure * 1000)

This can't be the actual formula, because any amount of infrastructure would contribute towards disease WAY more than the actual disease rate.

 

Does anyone know the actual formula for this particular data piece?

Another formula I'm not completely comfortable with is commerce. Why do commerce upgrades treat commerce as a percentage (e.g. Supermarket is 4%: http://politicsandwar.wikia.com/wiki/Commerce), but formulas using "commerce" treat it like a static point value (e.g. http://politicsandwar.wikia.com/wiki/Average_Income )?

 

Is commerce just a static-point value (e.g. 2 supermarkets -> commerce = 8)? If not, what is your base commerce value that is increased by 4% with each supermarket?

The correct formula for people lost to disease is:

 

( Disease / 10 ) * ( Base Population / 10 )

 

And yes, commerce works as if the % were points

Thanks for the info everyone. I also found a bunch of formulas in the "FAQ (read first)" in the forum that I did not... er, read first.
