  1. It should take sheepy as long to fix this once as it would take us to do it manually every single time we're trying to sort out tax records--and we're only one alliance. Just as a function of utility, the solution should come from the game imo. Gonna PM sheepy and see if he's seen this post; I'd really like to have this fixed
  2. And even if they are not aware, giving them a unique resolution moving forward would be greatly appreciated, even if it's not possible for past records to have that unique resolution.
  3. I've attached an example screenshot. There are only 24 members in this alliance, which means there are multiple records for each nation each day, and no clear method of matching any of those records to the turn that they came in. This should be trivial to implement, assuming that tax records are aware of what turn they were individually collected.
  4. Yes, but there are many records from each nation each day, and no way to determine which specific turn any of them came in.
  5. As it is, it is extremely difficult to determine how much a nation contributes to an alliance bank on a specific turn. I would like to suggest that tax records expose the time the were collected, or even just some kind of unique identifier to be able to refer to a specific tax record. Not really a bug, but I won't complain if you want to include this in the bounty program.
  6. Still related to this bug: I found a war now that ended to a victory/defeat, but it also says it ended from truce. https://politicsandwar.com/nation/war/timeline/war=46547 Not sure if this is a one-time side effect from the fix or if this will persist.
  7. When browsing any war's history, it is completely unclear if that war has ended by a truce. For example, here are three wars: https://politicsandwar.com/nation/war/timeline/war=48047 https://politicsandwar.com/nation/war/timeline/war=48046 https://politicsandwar.com/nation/war/timeline/war=47634 One of the three wars has ended in truce; one has one side offering truce; one is active with no peace offerings. However, none of this is determinable unless the war is found in a list somehow. Suggestion to fix: log peace offers in war timelines as well as truces if they occur. No screenshot as it is possible to see the effects from the pages linked alone.
  8. Regardless of NoPETA's stance on any matter regarding Charming Friends' operation, posts like these are unacceptable methods of voicing those stances between alliances who consider themselves allies. Please keep communication on any affairs regarding our alliance private until cleared for public disclosure by our alliance; we of course would offer the same to any alliance we consider allies, NoPETA included. I would prefer that even this conversation, if not concluded here, be continued in private with a Charming Friends foreign affairs advisor.
  9. Golen, NoPETA emissaries, and all other interested parties: The Charming Friends alliance thanks you for your outstanding show of eager support and loyalty. Please know that it is not asked or expected that our protectorates engage in our military engagements, nor is it often appropriate. In the future, we would like more effort towards open communications between our alliances prior to these notices and actions. We are grateful for NoPETA's previous and continued allegiance, and we believe that we share an opposition to injustice. We do find it lamentable that NoPETA and Charming Friends did not communicate more before this statement was issued. We would like it to be explicitly clear that we did not request any effort from NoPETA in any recent wars. In spite of this recent failure of communication, we will proudly continue to honor our previous agreements with NoPETA. We do ask that NoPETA seek more clear communication with the Charming Friends alliance prior to releasing announcements that regard us in any way, so that we may better support one another. thank. 10. According to the formula... no, but you can loot "negative" money. If a nation has no money, the formula becomes MIN(don't care, don't care, 0-100,000) = -100,000 (Examples in my PM) If this is intended behavior, I am not a fan at all and would only be able to accept it after much much whining ;P
  11. Sheepy I believe I have found some very unintended behavior. Please PM me for details
  12. Sorry for the late response. It's been a busy day in the offices of the New URAB government. Tarrarre Spencatro approves of this agreement. Signed, Spencatro, High Templar of New URAB
  13. Awesome. Thank you! However I now have another question: do your soldiers count towards both your population AND your soldier count, or just one? (I could probably do the math on my nation and find out, but asking is easier in case anyone already knows...)
  14. Howdy, all. I'm doing my best to understand how food consumption works, but after a few hours of searching the forums, wiki, and countless in-game pages, I just can't figure it out. I understand that soldiers eat 1 unit of food per 750 soldiers, per day, but with my current military, that should be very very little food being consumed. I would guess that the additional consumption is based off of population somehow, but the specifics are not clear. Can anyone help me here? Thanks!
  15. Thanks for the info everyone. I also found a bunch of formulas in the "FAQ (read first)" in the forum that I did not... er, read first.
  16. Awesome, thanks for the input! I must have missed the note about the query being too short. Thanks for pointing that out!
  17. Chiming in: the situation is much more complex and a lot older than the media reduces it to with terms like "rioting" and "looting." Soundbytes and video clips of people looting and rioting: sure, pretty lame. Being on the butt-end of a system of oppression that has existed for hundreds of years that in many cases leads to unjust deaths and unpunished murder because of your origin of nationality, the way you speak, the clothes you wear, or the color of your skin: so much worse. The looters are by far the least problematic part of this issue, why are we wasting our breath (keystrokes?) still talking about this

  19. Howdy all, Curious if there's any sort of web API for P&W? Also related: are there any rules to botting? I don't mean making robots that spam-create nations or anything (that would obviously be against the rules), but rather robots that use my account log in information (and only my own) to make queries about data from other nations (or even my own). An idea of a few things I'd like to accomplish: write a script that checks every ~1.5 hours to see if I have $X, email me if I do. I'm not wanting to write any code that plays the game for me (that would be... well, lame), but I would like to be able to write code that helps em make more intelligent decisions. I know this is sort of a tricky subject, so I'm curious if that sort of thing be against the rules. Thanks! Edit: Also, why are terms like API and bot not searchable terms in the forums?
  20. Another formula I'm not completely comfortable with is commerce. Why do commerce upgrades treat commerce as a percentage (e.g. Supermarket is 4%: http://politicsandwar.wikia.com/wiki/Commerce), but formulas using "commerce" treat it like a static point value (e.g. http://politicsandwar.wikia.com/wiki/Average_Income )? Is commerce just a static-point value (e.g. 2 supermarkets -> commerce = 8)? If not, what is your base commerce value that is increased by 4% with each supermarket?
