Big Brother Posted March 29, 2015 Share Posted March 29, 2015 (edited) In America, the rich used to have a responsibility to better the country for us...this is not so true anymore. I think it's something that comes with your make your own happiness, every man for himself attitudes. While those aren't necessarily bad attitudes to have, it does seem to diminish the sense of responsibility and community people have. I'm of the conviction that human beings are pack animals by nature, and that it's much easier for us to make happy, good lives for the most amount of people if we pool our resources and work together. In theory, the world already has enough productive forces to essentially provide for everyone's needs, it's just that right now those forces are divided and used for other ends.
