Popular Post Samwise
Current Mechanics: You can spy and engage in warfare against nations that are active (non-vacation mode) You can spy on nations regardless of range, so long as you are in an active war against said opponent If your opponent switches to vacation mode, you may still send in ground, air, naval, missile and nuke attacks against them, however, their nation is disabled and unable to retaliate against you Once said opponent switches to vacation mode, you are unable to spy said opponent Problem with current mechanic: Handicaps player's ability to fully engage in warfare against those who switched to VM during an active war Proposed Change: If an opponent switches to vacation mode, you may engage in all acts of war during the time that war is active, including espionage Why this change is necessary: It is my understanding that the purpose of allowing nations to continue to send in ground, air, naval, missile and nuke attacks against war opponents who jumped into vacation mode after being attacked is to discourage misuse of vacation mode to avoid war. Allowing nations to also spy said opponents is merely an extension of that purpose to discourage VM misuse. To be clear, I'm not advocating for any spy attacks against VM nations who have no active wars. This suggestion is only for nations that are actively engaged in a war, then decide to switch into VM.
