  1. Kinda agree with you. But stealing land in battle would be fun, but not realistic. Unless you have a really really big jar.
  2. The bolded part is my feelings as well, that's why I'm not sure why you guys are trying to act like EoS weren't the aggressors.
  3. I do like the new spy odds for destruction. I looked up Adama with 5 spies to my 3 and it's pretty hard to destroy his ships and costly to even try. I like it. In SpeedRound it was mega easy to spy and cheap.
  4. It does, lol. Just don't sell too soon.
  5. Might be handy to have seniority info in the alliance membership view and in the nation view as well. Similar to how (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) does it (can I say (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) in here, if not delete that). It really makes tracking membership easier. And you could do a lot of things off that seniority info, like tax rates, bonuses issued by the alliance leadership if they wanted to (say no taxes for new members). Things that reward seniority and loyalty that can be done easily and/or automatically. This might be too much, but even to create a game bonus to recruitment, that alliance gets a game bonus for x number of new nations it gets or new nations it brings into the game, etc. Maybe there is already a referral bonus though? Lots of things can be done from seniority information. Thoughts?
  6. This. It's not a big deal, just own it boys. Aurum Lumens was a UPN member too when he attacked TAC and just reapplied after he was booted, lol. I'm put a lot of money on him rejoining UPN at some point in the future pre/post-war.
  7. I think 1:2 is good, buy in 500 chunks. Watch your disease rate and do pre-income and post-income checks to see how much it benefited you. Then repeat on other cities if you like the results.
  8. And yet here we sit, EoS attacking TAC. And UPN oA chaining in. Sorry, but I don't like pre-emption reason. "Oh they WERE going to attack us though!!!11!!!11!!". It's not defensive to pre-empt someone. It's purely aggressive. We attack people we don't like, that's fine. Just own it like a man and admit that EoS bit off more than it can chew and now needs UPN/VoC to clean up it's mess. You all should've just attacked together. I've seen alliances, similar to how you are trying to spin this, play the defensive card over and over again, when you are just blatant aggressors. It's not a big deal, but that's what it is.
  9. I hope you know this really makes you look bad. It doesn't make you look like you are a truth-teller, it only makes you look scummy.
  10. Welcome back. It's a lot more balanced now and Sheepy's made some nice improvements.
  11. Anyone want to argue commerce is better than resource production now?
  12. Welcome to Orbis. I thought you were Umbrella at first.
  13. EoS attacked TAC. I know you want to play it up like TAC are the aggressors, but TAC isn't. Even pre-empts, if you want to call this a pre-empt, can't be described as non-aggressive imo. I don't have any irons in the fire, but lets call a spade a spade. So now you have a decision to make. UPN/VoC delcares on TAC and EoS looks pathetic, or EoS takes it on the chin. Either way it was a blunder on your part, tactically (or maybe EoS was just impatient).
  14. I think it's pretty clear who the aggressors are. I've never considered saber rattling to be a very good CB for an outright attack. And we can see UPN/VoC building up since EoS can't really beat TAC alone most likely.
  15. I love how everyone wants to act like they aren't the aggressors. "Oh they were going to attack us." and "Look at all the treaties TAC is signing!" From my perspective, EoS attacked TAC and EoS has posted just as many treaties as TAC. I guess spin is the universal norm. in games like these. In another realm the same thing happened to me. People wanted to play up the fact that our side was aggressive and "planning to attack", when the other side just wanted to justify their aggression on us.
  16. Can I advertise Kangaroo Ocean Lottery Tickets here? Send me $100 and I'll give you $33 back.
  17. Never. I only sell to neutrals who will use my resources for commerce like new sports teams.
  18. I can understand where Prefontaine is coming from and games that really have taken it on the chin due to side a vs. b politics. But sometimes the cold war isn't so bad. Of course the winner, if it's decisive, will no doubt stagnate things and that's what I think Prefontaine is getting at.
  19. I love the idea of spies knocking out 1-2 action pts.
