  1. How do you switch the city image back to default? Also, how do you get the image for JFK at the white house that can be seen as the last photo here (https://politicsandwar.fandom.com/wiki/City_Images)?
  2. It is a good suggestion and should be implemented
  3. Same in Nation States. Same in the real world. Yet, a World Assembly exists in NS and the UN exists in the real world
  4. This game is centered around alliances however.
  5. One of main reasons why Nation States is so active despite all of the years that have passed by is their World Assembly, which continuously keeps the game's user base active. There should be a similar World Assembly in this game where participation is optional, but if a nation decides to join the World Assembly, they have the ability to vote on bills and are required to follow laws that are passed. Voting could be adjusted by city count for each nation. Nations who are in the World Assembly will also have the ability to form political parties in order to get people with common ideologies together.
  6. It is stupid that we just keeping adding more and more projects to this game. Projects don't help the gameplay because everyone will have the same projects in the end. What would be better for the game is to replace projects with a technology tree, where nations have one choice in terms of whether they want to specialize in manufacturing, commerce, etc. In each branch, there will be multiple steps of improvement in which you can further build your nation's specialization.
  7. It is truly a great place to be in. Please join! ?
  8. Nation Link: https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=152232 In my nation, I have 20 cities with 5 oil refineries, so 100 refineries total. With the EGR project, each refinery should be taking in 1 per turn, so my nation should be using 100 oil per turn. However, when I look at my revenue page, the amount of oil I use per turn is only 75. What is going on? EDIT: Nevermind. I am bad at math
  9. I agree. This should be added.
  10. What happened to this?
  11. Alliance leaders should have the ability to place a tariff on certain other alliances or nations in order to discourage trading with them. The tariff will work when you try to by from an alliance that has a tariff set by your own alliance, you have to pay a small fee that goes back to your own alliance bank. Alliance leaders should also have the ability to sanction other alliances or members.
  12. @Alex This is what you said last time you opposed the idea: You don't need alliance leaders to be able to force embargoes on your members, just have the alliance leaders instruct their members who to embargo. If you can't get your members to cooperate, kick them out of the alliance. I don't like the idea of taking away more sovereignty of individual players and putting it in the hands of the relatively few nations that control alliance governments. Here are my arguments against your points. By that logic, we should get rid of alliance taxes and have everyone voluntarily drop money into the alliance bank themselves. The fact is that it is much easier for an alliance leader to simply declare an alliance-wide embargo, just like setting an alliance tax. It isn't that complicated of a feature to add in. Except that it is a million times easier for an alliance leader to embargo another alliance than look through 100 members and see whether or not they embargoed a particular nation or alliance. I don't get how this argument makes any logical sense. When a nation joins an alliance, they are agreeing to give up some sovereignty to receive benefits from being part of an alliance. After all, if nations can give up all of their money by joining an alliance with a 100/100 tax rate, then I don't think it is that big of a deal to give up some sovereignty when alliance leaders can set an embargo. If a nation doesn't like it, they can quit the alliance.
  13. This is a ridiculous argument. Nations in the real world have the power to sanction. Alliances are counterparts to nations in the real world. Therefore, alliances should have the power to embargo. You can say all you want about how alliances should be telling people to embargo, but it is just simply much easier for an alliance just to embargo another alliance or nation. It isn't that difficult to code.
  14. This should be absolutely implemented. The production bonus of raws should be increased.
  15. In CN, each team color has a Senate made up 5 members that are elected. Each member in the color bloc can vote for another nation as a Senator, and the top 5 nations end up being elected as Senators. This is done every month or so. The Senate itself vote on random proposals that are automatically generated every once in a while that affect things like increasing average income of nation while increasing pollution, decreasing military upkeep costs while decreasing tax income, increasing pollution while increasing population, etc. These proposals, if passed by 3/5 of the senators in a color bloc, remain in effect for a month. Adding this should make the game more interesting since it creates elections that people will have to compete in and forces people who are elected to make tough decisions for their color bloc and deal with losing their seat in case they do a bad job. Having senators be elected from everyone in a color bloc instead of an alliance makes elections competitive. Proposals will have things that both benefit everyone in a color bloc while also have things that hurt the bloc, so senators have to make tough decisions. Everyone in a color bloc can also comment on the proposals in order to try to influence the Senators. For a game called Politics & War and not Trade & War, I believe there needs to be more politics. Here are some examples of proposals in Cybernations that senators vote on: Pro War Recently the ideology of societal advancement through expansionism, regardless of who or what gets in the way, have spread across nations in the Black team sphere. Influential individuals throughout the Black team sphere have sought to convince national leaders and their populace that a strong regional military is key. Proposal: A stronger military power will quell any resistance as the sphere expands. All nations at peace (not currently fighting a war) receive -$2.00 citizen income while nations at war receive Soldiers and Tank purchase costs -5%. Health and Well-Being A rising sense of pride for the excellent health and well-being of the people of the nations within the Black team sphere has led to an across-the-board increase in gross domestic product. Proposal: Direct the dividends of this increased efficiency into healthcare, extending the lifetime of citizens within the Black team sphere, reducing the number of still births, this has the knock-on effect of increasing the number of retirees, and the number of babies in the team and thus the overall population. The increased number of retirees and youths places a higher support burden on national budgets. Population increased by 3%. Population income reduced by -$2.00. Make Burgers Not War Highly regarded chefs throughout the Black team sphere have petitioned leaders to shift the current emphasis on military might to a more culinary focus. Proposal: Resources Cattle, Spices, Sugar, and Wine each provide +2.5 happiness. Resources Uranium, Aluminum, and Iron each provide -1.5 happiness.
  16. Exactly it is much simpler to just give alliances the power to embargo.
  17. One of the most ridiculous things is that one of the most important powers of nations in the real world, printing money, is not in the game. Each alliance should be allowed to have their own currency and have a central bank that can print money. The cost of purchasing cities, projects, and military equipment would be based on the value of the alliance's currency. That way, inflation and deflation could be a part of the game, which makes it more interesting. I don't think this would complicate the game since it would be just something controlled by an alliance and not by the individual nations. It certainly isn't complicated in the real world for the average person.
  18. I fully agree. This is so easy to implement, I don't get why this hasn't been done yet
