  1. You don't need that confirmation, TFP have always been Rose's !@#$, like WTF with their 1 man blitz.
  2. Listen son, if you don't know the 1st thing about Orbis war history (fairly recent even), you should really leave the FA to someone who isn't utterly inept.
  3. Oh boy you're dense, I'm talking about the war where Rose and allies + HM + Immortals and allies hit Quack.
  4. In all fairness the Immortals-Rose treaty is from before that war (I can't remember the name) where 3 smaller spheres fought Quack, so there's nothing new here, but that just makes all the hegemony whining even more pathetic.
  5. Sorry I hit you @Abbas Mehdiqt, it was ockey's fault. 💔 But good move suiciding aircraft into me coz you knew your papperless treaty with Immortals was gonna be activated. Have fun.
  6. Ye taking into consideration that Rose is the only competent alliance on their side, the considerable numerical difference should be somehow mitigated, because otherwise they'd neutralize us fast. However I'd like to hear more crying about hegemony when we at least declare our ties and are visibly clearly outnumbered now.
  7. You have a very weird notion of "blitz". Anywho so much for the hegemony spiel and comotion. At least our side declares our actual ties. Wonder if the numbers on their side alone will be enough, regardless of the incompetence, but it should be unless I'm really underestimating their ineptitude.
  8. Don't panic lads, as I told Ockey, Immortals, with their paperless treaty with Rose, and allies would counter us. Here's to a well fought war.
  9. I do understand where Mayor is coming from, although it's am individual issue as Adrienne mentioned. Back when I cared about this terrible game I still play somehow, there were a few things that bothered me, the main one being a few alliances always getting away with it and claiming moral superiority despite being what was called at the time (and rightly so) "world police". After all it was a 2 year long hegemony and even tho pirates (I was one myself) make their income via raiding, TKR did try to roll Arrgh out of the game, which after months they realized wasn't possible. Arrgh just play the game like they enjoy it, doing something that would obviously be deplorable in real life. In a browser game it's not immoral, I don't see all those FPS players for instance getting shat on by how immoral it is to murder pixel people. And frnakly I find much more disgusting trying to claim some moral righteousness while playing the FA game like any other major alliance. Alliances aren't supposed to be nice, they're supposed to do what's best for them. That's what TKR did, and good for them. However, the consistent dogpiles (and particularly relentless on pirates who were put on their perma-raid list) rubbed some people the wrong way, myself in particular since I didn't even dislike TKR, the community seemed chill and I really liked (actually still do) IC, who was a terrific leader as well. Now I'm no saint, but TKR got cocky with their power, so much so that they started using Arrgh as their crash test dummies for military training. And I'm not judging. When I did care about the game, and for instance returned toi Arrgh, I was insta-raided by TKR. And while usually that flies, the insistence just pushed me to get them rolled back then. And that's what I did: I brought Pre back to the game to reform TEst and, being the FA goat that he is, he managed to get Partisan and Roq to join forces in the coalition that resulted in TKR's 1st ever dogpile. Which the game desperately needed since they had a disgustingly big upper tier hegemony with the likes of Grumpy, TCW and Guardian, last 2 had signed an MD level treaty just days before the war, showing they had no intention of splitting up. And while that hegemony was in no way as dangerous to the game as what IQ tried to pull off, it was stagnating it badly, which forced the rest of the game to join forces to drag the sphere down, as even tho we had way more members, a substantial part wasn't even able to hit them. My point being: as long as you don't abuse game mechanics like IQ did by recruiting all those virgins who just wanted a body pillow of some anime grill, you're not better nor worse than any other alliance. All do what's best for them, but sometimes power and cockiness end up being the reason of a hegemony's downfall, which ins't the case here since t$ and TKR kept a low profile and were forward about their tie, which as I stated earlier is not how you create a hegemony today till the blob is big enough. You're always gonna create a perception on the losers, for instance I thought Roz Wei was even more "wronged" than Arrgh since the latters do raid indiscriminately and Roz never did. And that's what matters at the end of the day - you win based on the choices you make, but sometimes there's consequences. Every alliance tries to do the best for them, and that's how it's supposed to be. I think every alliance needs to get rolled once in a while, it shows who the good members and the fluff are, it improves the alliance and the mindset of the membership, who learns to respect the opponents when they lose as they know how it feels. I'd like to add that obviously dogpiles aren't fun (I'd argue they're more fun, war mechanics wise, for the targets, while the rest get much less action). Infra is meant to be burned, which is why I'm a 29 city nation who's never gone over 2k infra per city. I don't particularly like when alliances get punished relentlessly, which is why I actually dislike seeing TKR getting rolled again after so many losing wars. They've had their share, and in particular Adrienne was deal a fricking horrible hand while she led TKR, and the fact that she managed to keep the alliance together shows how good of a leader she was, kinda like Yui who was always dealing with crap at Pantheon. Sorry for the essay. TLDR: losing / getting rolled once in a while makes an alliance better, there's no good and bad guys, every powerful alliance tries to succeed at all cost within game mechanics, every (not so recent) major alliance has been rolled, has dogpiled, and has created animosity. That's how it's supposed to be. Ideally we'd have balanced wars, but everyone tries to get as much help as possible, which is why main alliance mindset turns me off but at the same time I respect the work it takes to make them succeed. PS: whoever is doing it, please stop trying to pretend an aggressive / defensive strike wasn't prepared for Quack. I know how coalition warfare works, the fact that counters were instant and organized (with alliance pairings perfectly allocated) shows there was collaboration prior, people should start owning up to their wars, In this case, it was "hit or be hit" for Quack.
  10. We already had one of those in the past, it was an alliance called Holy Britanian Empire led by a salt mine.
  11. Unsurprisingly, god tier FA from Partisan. And pleasantly "surprised" with Wilhelm's,apart from the back and forth with Buorhann which seemed too personal. On that note I can say from experience you both created / were part of very chill communities, no need to go at it although there's probably some bad blood I'm not familiar with. Honestly, and trying to be as impartial as possible (which frankly isn't hard because I like people in both parties and reached a point of political maturity in the game), I doubt in this case t$ or TKR were looking to build a hegemony. My main reason for this is that, when 2 of the 3 powerhouses in the game (the other one being Rose) sign each other, it's almost autmoatic for the rest to feel threatened. And that's where I find these potential hegemonic attempts iffy: Partisan is not an idiot, I'm 100% sure, if he wanted to form a hegemony, the absolute worst way to go about it is putting a huge target on your back by signing another tremendously powerful alliance. I happened to be chatting with Abbas a few hours ago and told him this. If you wanna build a hegemony, you go about it by singing mid and small sized alliances, nurturing the good protectorates, and only when the blob is big enough, then you can sign another powerhouse, or even have a paperless agreement till the 1st war and then it's too late for anyone else to do anything about it. The opposite worked in the past, but with everyone's experience over the years, this isn't true anymore. When 2 of the few powerhouses have a treaty, the rest will feel threatened, that's just how it is. Regardless of the motivations behind the treaty, it's a fear based response from years of experience, particularly the NPO / BK dominated IQ which had several allies - they are in no way comparable to Quack, but that's the trigger it prompts on everyone else. The IQ comparisons (at least on forums) were shut down, and rightly so, immediately. If they're still happening elsewhere then it's a shame and the culprits should get some perspective. I think the preempt from Quack was inevitable, to mitigate damage given the unfavorable odds. The other side's CB (I'm not in the loop anymore but the swift counters make it obvious that something, either aggressive or defensive, was prepared) is purely fear based, as I guarantee you this war wouldn't have happened if t$ amd TKR weren't treatied, anyone who tries to argue otherwise is an idiot. In terms of pure game / war mechanics I don't think it's particularly healthy for t$ and TKR (not individually but each with somewhat sizable spheres) to be tied. Same as for instance Grumpy and Guardian (who, on paper or not, tend to fight together). But obviously that shouldn't define treaties - if 2 alliances like each other, the natural thing is to be treatied. Other than that I hope this war doesn't get dragged out unnecessarily and peace talks are civil.
  12. Good luck old friends, not ideal to be on opposite sides of Papa Snek but here's to a well fought and non-toxic war. Glad that my laptop is still shitting itself from the lag. o/
  13. Recognizing hostilities with an alliance in perpetual state of war... When are people gonna learn that Arrgh gives exactly 0 shits?
  14. Welp I'm a forner UPN member and for that I have a bit of a soft spot for it, but this does seem like a desperate attempt at not getting rolled for backing up the cheating scumbags of NPO till the very end when they tried to kill the game. Getting rolled isn't so bad, I was in the shit tier during that entire war while IQ used and then double crossed any alliance they could. Y'all should either have booted Under and distance yourselves before it was too late or simply support him till the end. I don't really wanna see you get rolled but tbh I feel a lot of bad blood here and I can't blame anyone for that in this case. Idk what went on in peace talks but that war and everything that it brought can make people want revenge. I myself have let it go but I most certainly understand why some might not feel that way.
  15. Damb look at all this hate... Farewell Fraggle, after reading this thread, it appears you'll still be living rent free in many people's heads.
  16. I would like to commend UPN on waiting for Ockey, Lank and myself to be done rolling the entirety (minus the beluga) of RnR to sign them. Congratulations in particular to the war dodging beluga leader for finding a new sucker to protect them. You signed a good one UPN, loyal... very very loyal.
  17. Yes please stop using our mottos (ours referring to TEst when Pre was there) . It's really sad (or good for me) how I get informed of what's going on in pnw from Ockey's Discord DMs. Please carry on with whatever y'all are doing these days, I've stopped trying to understand long ago. I'm curious to see how this ends. From a purely strategic pov IQ has been playing it perfectly, having used every possible satelite they could, including mostly upper tier alliances like TCW, t$ HS and CoA to their advantage at some point during this war, namely at the right time to drag the opposition down. Being perfectly honest idk if this ballsy move from TCW will work, IQ's updeclare ceiling may already be high enough to allow them to safely drag their newest opponents down and maintain the rest in the shit tier. They have used all their proxies during this war tremendously well, so overlooking PR consequences and just analyzing military strategy, I must commend them on their approach. However as we all know in this game, PR matters, but only if you're not going for a complete chokehold of the game, which (even though I haven't been in the loop) is obviously what IQ has been trying to do since the war began - and I won't judge. Only doubt for me at this point is if it's already too late for IQ's opponents. Good news is idgaf and, if y'all excuse me, I'm gonna return to my hibernation and play a far better free browser game. PS: please get my nation's infra to 0, thank you.
  18. He wishes. Now to get back to giving no shits about this game.
  19. Ye, war is great as long as it is war, not poking a dead animal with a stick but I guess it boils down to leaders being stubborn / incompetent. Meh, it is what it is.
  20. We're too old for this shit, kids these days with their endless wars...
  21. I am, thanks papa Snek. Hope you doing well too.
