Thank you for this post. I was going to complain that I can't get the referral bonus because I don't have so many friends that I can afford to alienate them by inviting them to online games. But if that means less risk of my nation going poof, maybe that's a good thing. I liked it the way it was, since you could click in the color key on the colors for "infrastructure" and "cities" and turn those off to see just your military breakdown.

That said, I have seen nations go to vacation mode while I was at war with them, after they'd been inactive for several weeks prior -- perhaps it should be allowed to continue attacks, so that I'm not stuck with the war for 5 days if I could beige them in one?

These error messages appeared once each, in that order, in each of two separate error message boxes. Going back to the "my trades" page allowed me to accept the trade, however. OK, so how am I supposed to turn off ads now that I can't buy credits to get VIP? Couldn't you just disable trading of credits, or something? Then if someone "creates" credits without donating, you'll have it logged and know what happened and be able to ban them.

This. Stick them off to the side somewhere. At first I was going to tolerate them; then I tried using adblock to hide them but then discovered that blocked all nation flags too, which really annoys me. The alternative is show an ad of equal height on every page; then it wouldn't bother me as much as the intermittent ads that disrupt my muscle memory for where to click.
