  1. That's not really true. In the Cold War, eastern bloc hardware was much more inferior and relied more heavily on numbers than on quality. The US used quantity in World War 2 because we did not have as many well developed advanced tanks out of policy against tanks until right up to the very beginning of the war. Most of our equipment also got better with the additions of 75mm guns to the Sherman, and they actually were able to compete with German tanks.
  2. Does it matter? Somebody who doesn't serve in combat can serve for twenty years retires, and he is treated as any other veteran. It's a class in the United States, all it's own.
  3. Truthfully, I'd be willing to donate that amount to Sheepy if I had assurances it'd be added. I'm a forum whore as it is.
  4. Russia does not recognize the current policy issued by America, as it's rhetoric in private meetings and discourse has been the same, bellicose and belligerent attitude that has wrought hardship on the American people and ISAF as a whole. If the American nation is truly repentant, then it would cease it's fear and war mongering to nations both publicly, and especially privately and seek to resolve differences in manners other than the threat of armed conflict, and the usage of the derogatory and misspelled word "boy". Until these steps are taken, and until the US can demonstrate it's ability to work in earnest to show itself to be a worthwhile partner in the global community, we will not recognize it as a legitimate nationstate.
  5. If you honestly think it's wise to provoke another conflict with not only my nation, but those of the Socialist International, then you may proceed with whatever ludicrous ideas you have.
  6. Again, witness the results of why you need natural, time proven relations with treaty partners. Not an "Oh, well this looks good!" approach that leaves you open to flakes, and dissension over issues that should be galvanizing ones.
  7. I have not sent any spies at you. I have been dumping every dime I have towards growing another city. Look at my recent actions section. I cannot speak for others, whom there are likely many who could be responsible, but neither myself, nor those I know have espionaged you. Most have been inactive this weekend as it is.
  8. If you feel so inclined to attack the Socialist International again, I can agree. There will be no peace. For either you, or your alliance. Does Francos Spain know you're threatening hostile action again?
  9. Breaking Russian petroleum experts have uncovered a vast natural gas and oil reserve field in eastern Russia that contains billions of barrels worth of crude oil. The supply lines are being established to explore the rich oil region, as well as to develop it utilizing Russian firms, and exploration teams. The supply is expected to generate revenue and begin producing within one year, thanks to expansive industrialization of the economy and rapid growth of the Russian energy industry.
  10. Unless Russia has changed it's name to simply a royal government type, there is still only one Russia, and it is a Federation.
  11. The Empire is a small alliance that is mostly of an RP nature, and generally has little power projection capabilities. I suspect this will not change matters much for the United States, or Her allies. Russia stands in staunch opposition to Western imperialism and meddling in world affairs. We trust the rule of Franco's Spain more than we trust that of the reactionary Americans, as they have cooperated with the International in resolving the recent aggressions by Reagen and Ekmanu.
  12. There is only one Russia, and it is a Federation.
  13. Please, do tell why then you claimed to be truly a communist, and begged for peace after several nations responded to your aggression?
  14. He is still clearing his nation of all the 7.62mm Soviet shell casings left over from his failed attempt against my nation, and others in SocInt. If anyone in ISAF had any sense, they'd ban him or leave the alliance.
  15. Into the Undiscovered Country, one last time...
  16. Italy has about 20k active servicemen capable of responding to a threat that spans continents. I doubt they are capable of doing much.
  17. Which is why I don't thank veterans for their service, donate to their charities or otherwise feel like I owe them shit. You guys are well taken care of from my tax dollars anyhow. If people are dumb enough to sign up, and lucky enough to live to retire they are set for life. If they die during service, I feel sorry for them and their families, but I didn't ask them to enlist.
  18. Actually, it's historically a Tatar region formerly owned by the Crimean Khanate. Before it was captured by the Russians under Catherine the Great, in the 18th century, Ukraine was nominally a part of the Russian Empire. People get caught up in what belongs to Ukraine, and what was given. What people forget is that Ukraine was under oppression by Polish noblemen in the 17th century, and they along with the Don Cossacks petitioned Russia for assistance. The Russians agreed, under the stipulation that Ukraine becomes part of the Russian state. Obviously we know They accepted. Crimea was not outside of the Khanate's control until after this happened. So it is clearly Russian, and was paid for by Russian blood. Furthermore, anything granted by the RFSR is a non factor with the fall of the Soviet Union.
  19. The Federation will actively watch these events with interests...
  20. It was still a problem, especially in the rural areas. Organized Crime, is not linked solely with the fall of the USSR.
  21. I joined, and then went to Canada to protest the war. I don't recommend it.
  22. Well, that didn't take long. Second what Hereno said. People really need to gravitate naturally into these things, and not force something that doesn't exist.
  23. The Bratva was originally highway thugs and bandits that existed in the Tsarist Russia time period as well. Their origin started there, and they became organized there. You're making it seem like Bratva, and Russian Organized Crime only was a problem beginning after 1991. It wasn't.
