  1. If you actually want to work on it, I'm a writer and I could help you work it out. Not sure how we'd implement it but I'm sure we could brainstorm something
  2. I sincerely doubt this was actually planned out by Sheepy, but I'm just having a thought experiment here. I have a growing theory that the difference between the PNW timeline (Orbis) and the real world (Earth) is a nuclear war breaking out. The game starts in ~1960 (I'm not sure the exact date), when something went horribly wrong in the Cold War, pushing back the entire world to a dark age. In the past 50 years over 25,000 nations have existed, but none have ever actually been larger than just a small nation-state. The largest country in this entire game has a smaller combined population than the 48th largest city on Earth. Every single country in this game forms out of nowhere. Next to no population, no cities, nothing. They're very small bands of people with no power, who can build up and grow quickly. They obviously have the pre-established technology to build up large cities, and have from the time the very first nation existed. The small nations war each other constantly to raid for resources, and can grow uninhibited across land that apparently isn't occupied - likely for the same reasons that the populations barely exist. Food is rationed in small amounts, as discussed here, and those rations never grow. The average military to population ratio on Orbis is insanely high (nations with low military amounts often have a larger ratio than the highest on Earth) Nuclear technology exists, but in horribly unrefined standards. Nukes can take out maybe 50,000 people tops, indicating that their sizing is likely no more refined than the very first nuclear weapons to exist in the world. Nuclear power exists, but can only supply up to a max of around 200,000 citizens per power plant - a typical modern plant can provide power to over 10x that number. International ruling bodies don't exist, but most nations find themselves aligned in alliances where they're set up to fight global conflicts together. TL;DR: pretty much every single thing about this planet seems to lean much more heavily towards "nuclear wasteland" than "modern Earth equivalent"
  3. Title is self explanatory. A lot of good music is on soundcloud but not youtube.
  4. I completely forgot about the test server yeah, that was probably it
  5. So I just got an email from PNW saying that my citizens miss me and that I've been inactive for 10 days, when I don't even think I've been more than like 16 hours without logging onto PNW for the last year. Anyone else have this issue?
  6. If it makes any sort of difference: https://politicsandwar.com/forums/index.php?/topic/8077-were-back-the-return-of-the-dharan-empire/page-1
  7. Yeah, sorry Prefont. We never really made an announcement regarding our protection, though it was listed in our DOE/Charter - we confirmed it before making the alliance so it was nothing new at any point
  8. Seriously though guy, I have never seen someone so thoroughly demolish their reputation so quickly. Are you doing this on purpose and just messing with everyone? That's really the only explanation that makes any sense to me at this point.

  15. You know it's bad when Kurdanak talks smack.
  16. I used to have a decent presence in another game (kid's game called Roblox) and I've been trying pretty hard to get some friends over there to come over. I used to be 2iC of an alliance that's got 132k members (though admittedly activity levels are extraordinarily low on that game, as it's a very non serious game), and I have about 20,000 forum posts so I knew plenty of people, the trick is finding people who still play that I know because it was so long ago. I've tried to get real life friends into the game but everyone pretty much dismisses it because they don't want to work with numbers and shit in their games. Can't really blame them, nation sims cater to a specific audience and the games themselves aren't the interesting part, the politics are. It's very hard to get into.
  17. Pop tarts are really sugary, calorie dense foods though. The average calorie goal for a day for a person is about 2450 (2200 for women, 2700 for men), and for foods that can be produced on a farm (like all PNW food is), the numbers are more like: That's not to say it necessarily needs changed (who really cares?) but as far as anything you'd normally produce on a farm the numbers don't match, even if you're exclusively eating the most calorie dense foods they would produce.
  18. Ronny can be rough around the edges sometimes but he's pretty straightforward and honest. Seriously, you can't blame him for you going off and breaking raiding policy three times. This kind of stuff is punished harshly in nation sims. If a government wasn't watching out for you, you'd have been rolled repeatedly already. You've either got to learn to work with the alliances you join, or accept that they won't want you. If you want to do this kind of stuff, go join Arrgh or some other raiding focused alliance - but they won't cover your ass when you do something stupid like this, they'll just leave you to learn the lesson yourself.
  19. But then how would I whine in public for validation? (Seriously though I figure they both probably know it's out of date, they're just busy. Not going to bug them about it, they'll get to it when they get to it)
  20. If you mean the player, we've already got him playing again and with us
  21. treaty web hasn't been updated in forever Suicide Squad doesn't exist, Brotherhood of Steel has 4 members and all have been gone a long time phiney pls
  22. I don't think anyone should P1 a Terrorblade anymore, but playing him as Position 2 solo mid is great because of how quickly you can come online. When everyone else is still in laning phase, if you get a DD rune you can drop your metamorphosis and have insane damage output. No other solo mid can challenge you when you're like that, and you can take out the T1 tower before the supports even think about coming mid to gank you. Your team now has a 1000 gold swing in it's advantage at 6 minutes, with 360 of that gold being to you. If you get their mid far enough behind that early, you can normally even rotate somebody else to mid and go jungle up some early farm before your P1 needs it (since you're one of the only heroes who can go into the jungle at any level).
  23. Sadly, there's no "conquer everybody and rule their lands" option in PNW Not that I won't try anyways
  24. </3 It was actually a pretty fun night, no mergers went through but plenty got accomplished.
