D'Hara recommends Apache PMC for destruction
Dusty Bottoms replied to Pax's topic in National Affairs
Dusty Bottoms welcomes D'Hara to the fight. We now have an air-force that is capable of taking him out. We share the attitude of D'Hara when it comes to war and negotiations, so we're glad that we are not negotiating for anything. -
Even Newer Brasil has now built an air-force that rivals that of Apache PMC. In fact, we have executed an immense triumph over his air-craft. We look forward to beating his air-force down to a tolerable level, and destroying his infrastructure all the way. Many thanks to those who made our air-force possible. Without the generous donations of several nations here in Orbis, our opponent would be in beige right now, and not getting the beating he deserves.

With more allies such as Fox Fire joining the fray, Even Newer Brasil has redoubled it's war effort to put an end to Apache PMC's activities. Thanks to multiple benefactors, Dusty Bottoms was able to construct several aircraft to help combat this hooligan. In an official press release, Dust Bottoms said:
-
Just tried it, and it still doesn't work.
-
I am experiencing a similar problem, except I can't buy aircraft.

Thanks to the intel and gift from Fox Fire, we now have an air-force being built. We are beating him on the ground, but he remains dominant in the air. However, we will not let this daunt us. It is our hope that we will be able to rally his other victims so that we can successfully teach him a lesson about his poor attempts at diplomacy. Dusty Bottoms expresses his gratitude towards all those who have offered their sympathy and/or help. We will be keeping everybody apprised of the war as it rages on.

At 12:30 p.m., Michael Steck (https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=8111) declared war on Even Newer Brasil, demanding that the leader, Dusty Bottoms, leave his alliance with five members and join him if peace was desired. In response, Dusty Bottoms diplomatically told him to go !@#$ himself. We are not protected by a larger alliance, and we can not raise a military to combat this menace in time. We ask that other nations embargo this savage for his brutish actions, and help teach him a lesson. It may be too late for us, but we would like to prevent this ruffian from doing this to other nations in the future. Signed, Dusty Bottoms of Even Newer Brasil

Thank you to all of you for the warm welcome as well. Lucky was shot (again) and is in the hospital. (of course, he doesn't have insurance, so any donations to the "Lucky Day hospital bill charity" will be greatly appreciated) Ned finally found the love of his life, and married the girl of his dreams (the love of his life =/= the girl of his dreams). The two share a gorgeous alley behind a Walmart together. They've done wonders with the place too. It was really run down when they got it, but they've probably doubled the value on it. (What did you expect? We were broke movie actors who refused to be payed for saving a town. At least one of us was bound to end up in poverty)

Thank you for the warm welcome everybody. I look forward to getting to know each of you. We do have an IRC channel (I'm just not in it all the time) . I'm mostly focusing on getting our forums ready for use and helping out the new members of the UN.

Hello, my name is Dusty Bottoms, President of the UN. I thought we'd make ourselves known even though we're just starting. We don't have an established government yet, but the few members we do have decided on a constitution. We aim to alleviate need wherever we see it and correct injustices throughout Orbis. Here is our Constitution: I apologize for this massive wall of text.

I support the idea in theory, but I want to see numbers before it is implemented.
-
I can get behind this. I would hope for something closer to 15-20% or so, since I think that will still quell most concerns.
-
I see the problem now, but doesn't this still happen anyway? I suppose they don't put the tax rate at 100%, but don't alliances still keep inactives for a while and milk them for their resources?
