The Hollywood/Roasis War has concluded
BrythonLexi replied to Sweeeeet Ronny D's topic in Alliance Affairs
Definitely. I've heard Morf Radio also does a pretty good job at opening up discussions and debate. -
Congratulations and cheers!

The Hollywood/Roasis War has concluded

Not gonna try and stir the pot, but I'm making the report that I lost like 90% of my mil within 24 hours, including buying planes to kill off superior air fleets. -
The Hollywood/Roasis War has concluded
BrythonLexi replied to Sweeeeet Ronny D's topic in Alliance Affairs
Yeah, there's zero way to defend the coalition's inability to crush Hollywood. For the record, Rosesphere had the best beige discipline of Roasis Inc. despite being blitzed hard when not fully milled. We took it like champs, and were at least able to put up a good fight. Idfk about Oasis or Mystery though, that's beyond me. -
Yo someone want to help me get a list of war dodgers?

Do people who left our alliance mid-war to make a micro that (to the best of my knowledge) didn't fight count as war dodgers? If so, this alliance's leader and gov left ASM mid-war despite warnings this would likely label them war dodgers: https://politicsandwar.com/alliance/id=8660 -

Fair, but I find the reversal more fitting for the P&W context -

The Hollywood/Roasis War has concluded
BrythonLexi replied to Sweeeeet Ronny D's topic in Alliance Affairs
As someone in Roasis Inc., I was completely not expecting a blanket White Peace. NGL I was expecting, at the very least, an admission of defeat even if no reps - and honestly, after the C20s didn't get busted out as hoped, I was expecting an unconditional surrender + Versailles-severity terms. -
Benefit from your art/memes! NFT in Orbis are now a thing!
BrythonLexi replied to Waifu Investor's topic in Orbis Central
Imagine thinking all of your critics are socialists. Bruh your idea's so bad you also have liberals and conservatives also mocking you. You make actual capitalism look good by comparison. -

So what happens if somebody registers somebody elses art on Deloitte? They stole the art, and now are the "owner" despite not creating the art. Under any copyright system worth its salt, a takedown can be executed. Under NFTs, that is physically impossible due to being tied to the Etherium blockchain. You cannot unsteal that art that was put up without consent. -

Oh Gods no, please no. NFTs are a terrible idea in the real world, please don't bring that environment-destroying, art-stealing garbage here. -
You have a single city. Don't make food, even if there was no penalty - it's only efficient at high land areas.

Question; Tutorial + Objective Cash Payments?
BrythonLexi replied to BrythonLexi's topic in Orbis Central
Thank you for the numbers! That is, like, an order of magnitude less than I expected - but makes sense. -
Question; Tutorial + Objective Cash Payments?
BrythonLexi replied to BrythonLexi's topic in Orbis Central
Yeah, that's fair and what I would recommend as well - but I'm asking specifically about the in-game tutorial and objectives for the sake of experiment. -
Just a quick and fast question: How much money does completing the tutorial and all objectives give a new player starting out? I'm bored and wanting to work out starting builds for new players, and would like to know how much money they could theoretically have to play around with.

Hi, it's me Stairner, I'm looking for a protectorate
BrythonLexi replied to Greater Alexandria's topic in General Discussion
You're a war dodger, who would *want* to risk resources like that? -
Yeah, that is definitely the most severe disconnect i've seen with newbies. I think it'd also be good, if tangential, to give a general economic roadmap to said newbies on effective city builds / the best way to gain money (raiding and/or selling raw resources) EDIT: Additionally, it may be good to explain the general progress of a nation's economy - from mainly raws, to mainly manufacturing, to farming; based on the nation's general infrastructure/land levels

Since I made an OWF post about it, guess I should've actually made a post about this. I've returned to P&W as of May 1st (last month). I had left the game on 1 month VM due to an overwhelming about of drama and salt in late March, generally revolving around my friends and (indirectly) my alliance - specifically against KT. In that month I had time to process and reflect on things; and in this month i've been continuing to try and keep my calm both in game and real life. I'm doing better with my job as a junior dev, and can worry less about making rent; which I believe was the primary reason behind my stress. Now that I am [have been] back, I hope to return to the levels of kindness and wholesomeness that I displayed during Duck Hunt. Thank you @Comrade Joe and @Redarmy for helping me feel comfortable returning. Thanks to @Zei-Sakura Alsainn for everything as well, despite disagreements sometimes. Thanks @Adrienne and @BigMorf for being some of the first to welcome me back. En garde, frenemies in Hollywood! And I'm glad to fight alongside my comrades in Roasis Inc. as well. TL;DR Back after a month of dealing with mental health, reporting a month late b/c oops, glad to be back and fighting with and against friends.

All the above advice is great. I've had times where I was stressed with my alliance and wanted to hightail it. But, given how things have been the last few months, i'm glad I didn't. For a micro to survive you need a strong protector, a strong military, or a strong community that's fine with getting curbstomped together. From the above conversation it seems like you've had none of those. And an alliance takes a lot of work to maintain - work that even myself (and I consider myself mildly well-connected) absolutely couldn't handle.

Roasis 🤝 Hollywood Burning down pixel farmers. I believe it's a cause we can all rally behind; except the pixel farmers.
