Nietzschelloo
You must be new around here: if one nation from another alliance raids one of your people, you decimate that attacker and leave it at that. Their alliance is unlikely to retaliate since they know the person brought it in themselves. If one nation from another alliance raids your people and you counter with an alliance war; you're the aggressor. At least Arrgh owns the fact that they're raiders. You guys try to disguise your overt aggression as some sort of just cause, almost as if you are trying to position as the victim as you go forth and raid. Clever, I must say, but it is seen through by most. When we were but a wee Alliance (i.e. a few weeks ago) one of the Charming Friends accidentally hit someone from Vanguard overnight (he wasn't paying attention and immediately offered peace). When I woke, I'd been hit pretty severely in two Infrastructure Airstrikes even though my score was much higher than the original attacker in our Alliance. I'm fairly sure I was the only one really in range for whoever was online to hit back. The conflict ended in Truce after communication. Was this annoying and frustrating? Sure. Did I try to hit them back because I was annoyed (as TFF hit us back)? No. Sometimes the Alliance hits back. Sometimes they don't. Sometimes it turns into war. Probably depends on how quickly communication happens, if I had to guess. I don't think you get to speak to what the universal rules of Orbis are in regards to alliance relationships, as nations clearly do things in many different ways. We wrapped our wars up quickly and with as much respect as was possible. I really don't understand why you're jumping down the throat of a new alliance trying to find a niche in the game. I, for one, am new around here. Is there something wrong with that? It's been fun and enjoyable getting to know the characters, nations, and alliances of Orbis. There are many ways for this game to be played and that is wonderful. It’s a fine line to walk between being nice to someone who messes up and being a weakling who gets picked on, and we’re still learning that balance. We’re not an alliance that will be rolled over, and we want that to be clear. At the same time, we do want to be able to be allies to alliances who share the same ideologies and practices as the Charming Friends. It is not our intent to scare off anyone from being our friends but it is our intent to protect ourselves and as an Alliance we are coming into our own and learning on how to accomplish these both. Dimitri Valko
Woah, this is what happened? Had no clue about the incompetent rogue. Anyway, I hope all is doing well with the pact in place.
