Johnson Boris
Introduction I haven't been able to find a good upside to the current city age bonus. Given that it is merely an extra-mechanic of the game that should be easy to change, I thought it might be better to just get rid off it altogether. This would make age no longer a factor in the population calculation of cities. I believe this change should be made because the current mechanic merely helps the old whales. Players which, I believe, don't need any extra help. The (Small) Problem Giving a population bonus based on age has these effects: -It increases the revenue of older players -It increases the revenue of whales in particular. This is because a percentage increase in population is larger in absolute numbers the more infra you have. These effects are a (minor) problem because these players are already massively helped by the basic game mechanics. To give them extra-mechanics with which to consolidate their wealth even further is to unnecessarily widen the gap between these players and the newer smaller players. This is (a little bit) bad because we want newer players to feel like they have a chance of catching-up without adding extra road-blocks. Alternative The alternative is just eliminating the age bonus to stop this extra-advantage given to old whales. So as to make the change as seemingless as possible, we could just make it a default population comparable to what you would currently get with, for example, 500 days of Age in a city. This way, all cities would have the equivalent population, at a given infra level, to what a city with an age of 500 days currently has. The exact day figure that should be implemented can be calculated by someone else, this is just an example, but I found it relevant to point out that we shouldn't just eliminate the city age bonus without increasing the default population per infra in cities so as to not create deep changes in the market. Finally, I just wanted to say that I'm open to consideration of clear upsides of the current age bonus since I may have missed some. BelgiumFury
I personally just like the flavor of city age and the minor increase in revenue associated with it, i don't want it to be removed

Whales and micros dont swim in the same body of water, so why change a whale mechanic that has 0 effect on little nations? that makes no sense.
