Popular Post Jon Snow
Currently you are able to look at any nation and tell at a quick glance just how many spies they have. To me that doesn't seem right. Spies are supposed to be undercover agents, if you know how many there are of them then they aren't doing their job right. It should be a spy op or atleast part of gather intelligence to uncover just how many spies another nation may possess
Administrators Alex Posted July 31, 2014 Administrators Share Posted July 31, 2014 The way spy odds are calculated, it would be easy to find out how many spies your opponent has if you bothered to do the math. Why make it harder to get information that's already available? Quote Is there a bug? Report It | Not understanding game mechanics? Ask About It | Got a good idea? Taureg
The way spy odds are calculated, it would be easy to find out how many spies your opponent has if you bothered to do the math. Why make it harder to get information that's already available? Just because its available doesn't mean it should be visible and served up on a plater. The CIA doesn't publish how many spies they have in a country. It's the other's guy's job to put some effort into finding that out. Should be the same here. Visible spies, just not right.
Jon Snow
it adds a bit of mystery and like you said, calculations into the game. do you want a simplistic war system?
Administrators Alex Posted July 31, 2014 Administrators Share Posted July 31, 2014 it adds a bit of mystery and like you said, calculations into the game. do you want a simplistic war system? But it doesn't really add a bit of mystery, just a bit of tedious math. It would be like not displaying the success rate on the espionage page, but showing you the formula so you could figure it out yourself. And yes, a "simplistic" war system is favorable over something extremely complex, that's why we only have a handful of purposed units. Quote Is there a bug? Shellhound
I really don't think it matters one way or another, if you hide it people will still figure it out. If you keep it visible it's just giving people info they could get with a few minutes of basic math.
