Special flag for people to go into VM after having war declared on them.

I think a form of public shame that's non-mechanical for people who abuse vacation mode to avoid war damages is valid. It's annoying when you try to fight an alliance and a number of them run into vacation mode because their infrastructure is more important than the well-being of their fellow alliance members.

 

I was thinking that should a nation have war declared on them, and then they run into vacation mode, that they get unlocked an exclusive 'deserter' flag. This flag would be attached to their account like the 'Special Edition P&W Flag' is, and could be switched in and off at any time. However, from the time they go into vacation mode and to the time they come out, their flag is automatically switched to the 'deserter flag' and they'll have to wait until their nation is unfrozen until they can change it back.

 

As for the flag itself, I was thinking it should be a white background with a pacifier in the middle. I'm sure if this idea gets approved, that a community member will volunteer to do it.

Personally I think the flag should be put on their nation for 2 weeks after doing something like this.  Make sure everyone far and wide knows exactly how cowardly they are.

They both just ran into vacation mode because they were being hit. The last major war also had a lot of that going on in Rose and Pantheon. I doubt all these people are going on some sort of absence that'll necessitate having their nation be frozen for two weeks, and having some sort of way for future alliance government to tell apart deserters and regular nations will be helpful.

I agree with the idea for the most part. Not so much so in the case of this farce between you and Valyria. Not like this was a war they could have even come /close/ to winning, but instead opted out of due to cowardice/pixel hugging. This was more so getting out of the way of a moving train while being a straw man.
