I have no problems with the admin of the game deciding who gets what awards. If it's a community vote, it should be held how it's always been done, and not changing the format simply because someone's feelings are hurt or because those that believe they are above others think they should have more voting power than new players.

It's simple. If the old guard don't hold an awards ceremony simply because they aren't in control of the vote, GOONS will hold one for the will of the people. If those in power think that they can ignore the will of the people, we will seize the means of meaningless awards.

Start campaigning then. A vote isn't legitimate because charismatic individuals can garner votes from individuals.

Because you have ulterior motives. You want to nuke the awards because people you don't like in the community have a numbers advantage. If we remove the awards system so that the people you don't like can't get any awards, we should get rid of the awards, period. It's only fair.

There is nothing wrong with democracy and there never was. Democracy has always been the clearly best governmental system.

Democracy is good until it doesn't work out to our favor. We clearly need a republic and representatives to strip the voting rights of the majority.
