Lots of ignorance here. Let's clear it up. @hope that person was banned and message history purged about 3 seconds after you joined and then immediately left the server. I'm currently the only moderator so I'm not on 24/7. @Michaellaneous GOONS are welcome on the server, racism is not. DNFJ was one of the first people to join the server. @Salt Meat see my above message to hope. @Comrade Marx Not every thread in Orbis Central needs to descend into GOONS vs. Racists. My reasons for creating this server are stated in the OP. Overt use of Slowmode, banning/warning people arbitrarily, an over-zealous auto-mod that deletes half of the messages posted... These are the reasons why the Freefolk gather in my halls. It has nothing to do with racism and I've made that abundantly clear.

As an independent, but ever hopeful, citizen of Orbis: NPO could start "the path forward" by working out a peace deal with parties who have already publicly surrendered, and not allowing your coalition to hit uninvolved parties that have already peaced out once.

Yes, that is why people play historical grand strategies. I think you miss the appeal of Paradox in general but I'm glad you enjoy CK2 in your own way nonetheless.

A grand strategy game is a fine wine to be savored and enjoyed. It lasts hours, sometimes days. If you want to pound bud light until you're vomiting go play fortnite.

Given the poll's one-sided results, and also glancing through just to make sure we got a good mix of opinions from around Orbis, I think it's clear we'll just be running these per the normal way. I've seen some great suggestions as to how to fix or make things more fair but at the end of the day I think it's important to note that these are community events and that needs to include every player, not just every alliance. I'll leave the poll open til Monday just in case a flood of counter-voters come in over the weekend but I think we have our course set.

Honestly try multiplayer paradox games. It really revives the game to face competent decision making rather than "I'll agree to your plot/war/claim/revocation because you gamed the system and I'm programmed to" CK2 is the least-stable in terms of Multiplayer but it can still be fun with at least one or two other people playing. I'd suggest these rules though: 1. No player can choose seduction focus (one guy banged my dynasty out of existence once / filled it with his bastards and gave the whole game herpes) 2. Limit the amount of PVP that can be done to another player. ie - players can only take the lower titles from a player (Dukes can only lose counties, Kings/Emperors can lose duchies) or some kind of rule that doesn't allow for game-ending PVP. 3. Find a relatively close region and play together but not close enough to disrupt gameplay. ie - don't play in the same duchy but maybe the same Kingdom or Empire so you can be allies and help out in wars. Otherwise try the Game of Thrones or Elder Scrolls total conversion mod if you're bored. Or buy EU4.

So since Kastor has bowed out, I'll run the awards. I have two different ways we can do this and the choice is yours: Option 1. We run the awards as typical of every other year. Nominations and voting open to the public. Option 2. We run it with two delegates from each top 100 alliance with more than 5 members (to exclude banks). I've opened this poll up to let the community decide which option they'd rather take. After it closes, I'll begin organizing either option. Poll closes on Monday btw. Giving you guys the whole weekend to vote.

The leaders are more interested in upvotes, antagonism, and PR than they are in diplomacy.
