  1. I think we need one of our own. I'm expecting great things out of you EMC, you certainly have enough people to make some good stuff. Don't disappoint!
  2. We've fought in every single major war since we existed, accept one. The one in which both sides had people who had attacked us in the past leaving us with only one real choice unless we wanted to get all Stockholm Syndrome'y. And I'm damn sure GOB has fought in less wars than Alpha. Plus, thanks to you TKR and you guys in your paperless EMC sphere, y'all caused a really long period of stagnation where we didn't even have any wars.
  3. And can we also track the RL time we've wasted on this buggy game and all the time we've wasted posting salt pics and wearing out our s, a, l, and t keys on our keyboard. These are just as important metrics to keep track of. Maybe you shouldn't be highlighting your damage numbers SRD. *whale noises* I can assure you tracking steel won't make yours any less awful.
  4. I think this thread's purpose is to confirm the average age of a person who plays P&W.
  5. But I'm talking about a broader war comeback. Even with this suggestion it's not possible. The problem here is that we actually are able to do this conventionally without a nuke. We did that on two people in GOB and beiged them. It didn't help the broader war, it was just fun to do. No one will waste a nuke destroying one block of units, even with proper coordination, it's a waste of a nuke. For example: Attacker1 - full military Defender1 - nukes attacker 1's airplanes. Defender2, 3, rip through the rest of his ships/tanks etc with airstrikes Attackers 2,3,4 and 5,6,7 who hit Defender 2 & 3 now zero out defender 2, 3's airforce....and well everything else they have in the first 1/2 day. Attacker 1 double rebuys aircraft, etc. Defender 1 wasted a nuke, and Defenders 1, 2, 3 all have zero military and can't fight back.
  6. Secret EMC War But NB-EMC War sounds fine too.
  7. [OOC What the frick is this? I'm sorry if you felt I was asking you to give me a c/p Wiki history lesson. But I can assure you I wasn't.]
  8. I'm not seeing any French nations with that flag. [OOC, you are also wrong here as well. The IRL Spanish Flag also has 3 yellow Fluedelis over blue if you look closely]
  9. LOL, oh this is comedy gold right here. I thought she'd get a few people like this. Go look at the forum you are in bro. Oh this made me laugh pretty hard.
  10. How many are there in TKR, TCW, Guardian, GOB, and Adeptus Mechanicus?
  11. No, you got salty because of the beige. If you had just shrugged it off as a GG, then we wouldn't have thought you were salty. No one here is really shittalking Don Juan who got double beiged as well. Also, teasing us so we focus more on GOB is really quite stupid, I'm sure you can gloat about how much of a warchest you have from being whales for so long and always avoiding a real fight (or getting bailed out when you would've had a worthy opponent like Sparta). I have no illusions that both of our alliances can rebuild to the exact point we were prior to the war. But all it does it harden our resolve to nuke every single city you have. And we have nothing lose. And I'm excited for the real challenge that is nuking every single city in your alliance. This isn't the first time for us, we have plenty of experience and now have shitloads more resources this time plus the new war system.
  12. I can't speak for anyone else, but I've tried to maintain the topic and have a real discussion. My suggestion still stands. Either we should have a real comprehensive catch-up mechanic or we should just remove everything. We are in this in-between where both sides constantly !@#$ about if you can actually catch-up (the git gud crowd and the realistic crowd) or should be allowed to catch-up when facing an overwhelming force against you.
  13. My post was about Alpha-GOB/Guardian, go reread my post. You are trying soooo hard to be a good little troll and just failing. You got beiged because you suck at war, why would you be any different as a troll. Again, please leave beige mode so we can nuke you again. And if you have the balls, learn how to sell down to hit us when we start filling your slots again, unless you are truly the pixel hugging whales everyone things you guys are.
  14. Can you leave beige so we can nuke you again? We'll promise to leave your navy alone this time, sweet cheeks.
  15. Miss you too baby. At least you actually created some drama before hitting. We were on good terms with these jokers and they still wanted to pop their own extended sphere. Paristan for viceroy of GOB and Guardian! You need to show them how it's done.
  16. Sephiroth, honestly, you are the one who appears salty here man. The suicide idea was mine, not lolbrok's. Stop giving him credit for my idea. That's like IP infringement bro.
  17. Before you posted this, why didn't you even bother to check his warscreen and see he had declared 5 offensive wars, right after he had beiged those GOB whales? Your side !@#$es constantly about how all we do is use nukes and then when we do employ a different strategy you get so salty and complain we are doing something else wrong. Can you make up your mind? Thanks! You do realize that they gave us exactly what we needed to restock and nuke the shit out of GOB/Guardian for round 2 right? Mass beige is the one thing they should've avoided and they failed miserably because GOB/Guardian whales don't like to lose pixels apparently. By all means, keep beiging us, lol.
  18. Not a bad idea, first 30 days or so. Although this situation doesn't happen more than a few times a year, or lately once or less a year.
  19. Just a reminder that this is an OOC forum and as such, can we leave all the IC stuff out of it. In this topic we can all discuss suggestions like adults without all the emotions of the IC game that many people seems to have (which is understandable, but this is still OOC). So, I've never seen anyone talk about the strategic use of nuclear weapons as a positive. It's usually that they are just bad and "all they do is nuke and have no skill". Or to something like that. So why the hesitancy to remove such an unpleasant aspect of the game? What is the best way to fight when you are up against a force you cannot beat with full defensive slots? Has anyone ever been able to defeat a force long-term/multiple rounds when facing larger nations in each of their defensive slots? Is this when nuclear weapons have a strategic value? Then why the complaints about their use in that exact situation? I actually want to see catch-up mechanics removed, as it would provide more clarity in this game. And it would help with the notion anyone can master a system that only requires bodies to fill slots and nothing more. I.e. nukes which just require point and click being inferior to 3 people who point and click on 1 person. If we made the game just about numbers, then it would force a more dynamic political environment and not one where we had ages of stagnation, followed by a few hours of deciding warfare and a few turns of non-deciding warfare and back to stagnation for a long period of time.
  20. Could we keep this discussion to the OOC topic of game mechanics? I'd like to know anyone, outside of a person in a NB alliance, who actually like having nukes in the game? I figured I could lead the charge to remove nukes because if anyone has benefited from their defensive use when dogpiled onto, it would be my IC alliance. If we took a poll to remove nukes, I feel like 90% of people would agree. Thoughts?
  21. Actually the plan was hatched by myself when I saw that we could do significant damage and at 300-400 ships. Those attacks are better than nukes. In the end the strategy might just be a wash, not sure the actual damage totals vs. the nukes we could've launched, but we have plenty of time to unload our arsenal and I thought it would be fun and because your side always !@#$es that we are nukes only. lolbrok is not only *not* below your range, he's also in the declare range of the largest nations in GOB. He hasn't lost much infra, as your guys haven't done many infra attacks, focusing on his ships. So in that sense, you gave him a free round less maybe a few more nukes spied away. There is a reason he's the leader of that alliance, an alliance who has many people who fought tS and urged me to keep the war going longer than the 60-days we fought. I'd put money that when GOB's warslots free up, you will find you will get a 2nd shot at filling his 3 defensive slots, while he fills 5 of yours.
  22. The exploit was confirmed by dozens of us and happened close to 100% of the time. First few times I thought I had clicked wrong, but then we started taking screenshots and being extra careful. It happened every time before the fix. We immediately took it to Alex and he was good about fixing it. But had we not brought it to his attention, this would've been an entirely different war and even now, it really meant a lot of wasted nukes.
  23. The people in my alliance/myself lost the political pre-battle, obviously. This topic is about in-war game mechanics. You ignore every single post I've made on the issue of nuclear warfare. Go read them if before replying. Then see the history of our first war and Silent. The people in my alliance's first defensive strategy is always conventional until that isn't viable due to overwhelming forces against us. For that we have insurance and that insurance grows as we see threats we can't beat because we don't have the membership size or all kinds of bots/scripts that do our trading/recruiting like what some people in TKR use. When you have 3 defensive wars that are all with people that have way more cities and max military, the only in-war game mechanic for fighting back is nukes. I'd like to see nukes removed so that we don't have all the !@#$ing about why this is so unfair. And might as well increase the downdeclare range so that for people like you, who don't seem to get it, can understand the war system isn't about proficiency, it's filling slots which are arranged before a war starts. Politics and war. I would prefer that this is made abundantly clear, would make the game experience much more pleasant for everyone I think. Maybe you should go suggest a game mechanic that would give a losing nation more options to combing back if it's so important to you. I won't support that, but you should go suggest something and if the community likes it, maybe Alex will implement it.
  24. I'm not joking. I'm 100% serious. Obviously, refunding the nukes and NFP is part of this.
