  1. Thanks for the clarification. It is always good to ask first, just to be on the safe side.
  2. Should the Peoples Republic of Communist Japan decide to establish trade routes to Europe would we be part of this across the board embargo? We would like to considering expanding our trade routes to Europe but we don't want to be caught in the middle of a conflict either.
  3. The Peoples Revolutionary Army Security Forces have announced the arrest of all members of the traitor cell that was comprised of members of the Peoples Assembly including the Vice Chairman. Several Liaison Officers and Administration Staff members were also charged with conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, attempted murder on a State Official, and treason against the State. Temporary Chairman Tenchi Mitsunari has stated that he has filed all the paperwork with the Department of Justice and that those arrested will be given a chance to accepted the charges against them and receive punishment, or deny they charges and the Department of Justice will hold court hearings. "We want to thank each nation that assisted us by allowing us to search for these traitors and information to ensure that no foreign power was involved in this coup attempt. In the end we have found no evidence that says any foreign power was involved and we hope it remains so. Because of this we are removing the State of Emergency from the nation and Tokyo. Once the Department of Justice has begun proceedings the Department of the Interior will begin work on creating new elections to fill all spots in the Peoples Assembly." stated Tenchi Mitsunari.
  4. The Peoples Republic of Communist Japan must sit this one out, we have allies on both side of this conflict and we feel to interfere on a matter that does not directly involve us would only serve to cause problems. Therefore we will not take a side on this issue and hope that peace prevails over the growing tensions.
  5. Special Operations Team's have been sent to investigate embassies but we have reason to believe it is an internal matter. Currently we have arrested 23 suspects with another 19 being looked for.
  6. Official Statement by Tenchi Mitsunari Ladies and Gentlemen of Communist Japan and of Orbis, it has come to light of a plot to kill Chairman Shinji Mitsunari and to usurp control of the Communist Party of Japan and the future of our nation from those chosen by the people to represent them. It has not been determined who was the creator of this plot, but what is known is that the Vice Chairman and several members of the Peoples Assembly conspired to remove Chairman Shinji Mitsunari in order to get the Vice Chairman in the leading position then the Peoples Assembly would vote to have the Mitsunari family removed from its position and discredited do to my recent marriage to First Princess Lucia of Wintery. To that end, my father is unable to currently lead this nation and with the Vice Chairman part of the traitors group, I had sent word to the Generals and asked if they would rally behind me, and swear their loyalty to me just as they have done to my father. They agreed and so with the support of the entire Communist Japanese Military I hereby assume temporary control of the title of Chairman of the Communist Party of Japan and the Peoples Assembly. As Chairman the following orders are given, The Peoples Republic of Communist Japan is hereby placed on a State of Emergency and the Peoples Assembly is hereby suspended. As Chairman of the Communist Party of Japan I assume full control with support of the Military and the Generals until such time as a new election can be held and the Peoples Assembly can be reformed. To that end, all those who are part of the plot to have Chairman Shinji Mitsunari killed will are to be arrested and placed in prison until a trial can be held on the charge of attempted murder and treason. Tokyo is placed on Lock Down, and martial law is hereby instated until all conspirators are arrested. A mandatory curfew starting at 10:30PM and running till 6AM has been put in place. The Peoples Revolutionary Army Security Forces and the Capital Police Force have the authority to take the conspirators dead or alive. That is all.
  7. Shinji Mitsunari made a brief appearance before being taken away by Peoples Revolutionary Army Security Forces to an undisclosed location. Chairman Shinji was still weak and was in a wheelchair looking weary as he was being moved from Tokyo Central Hospital. Prior to being loaded up in a PRASF Armored Transport Van he had the following to say, "I want to let Orbis and my people know I am well, and will be back soon. Thank you for all your prayers, kind words, and gifts. May the People's voice be heard."
  8. Tenchi Mitsunari has made the following announcement from the Tokyo Central Hospital within minutes of his arrival from the Embassy of Wintery and spending a short time with his father and with the doctors: "As of right now Chairman Shinji Mitsunari is in a medically induced coma which they hope to bring him out of soon. He is stable but the doctors have said they suspect that he may need much care after he is released from the hospital. To this end we will hunt down those who have tried to kill the Chairman...and they will be dealt with swiftly."
  9. Then the Peoples Republic of Communist Japan hope for a easy and peaceful transition of power.
  10. Or you could add a level system to colonies. First Colony you need a GDP of X and X soldiers. Second Colony you need GDP of Y and Y soldiers. Ect. Just a thought.
  11. Equal Rights Law passed Recently a school fired a teacher for being homosexual. The teacher went to the local Department of Justice and sought to get his job back. After a three week trial the lower court agreed with the teacher that the school had no right to terminate his employment based on his sexual orientation. This prompted the local Department of Justice ask the Peoples Assembly to pass a bill that would ensure this kind of action would not happen again. Late this afternoon the Peoples Assembly passed the bill known as the "Equal Educational Employment Act" which ensures that no teacher can be terminated based on their sexual orientation or religious belief. Should a school be found in violation of the law the Overseer of the school and its Administration can be removed and publicly shamed. "This step ensures that all those who choose to be in a profession such as teaching can do their job without their personal lives influencing their job. This bill may seem to be a common sense thing, but in today's age if it is not in black and white people try to find ways around it." stated Peoples Representative Koetsu Matsuo. Shinji Mitsunari poisoned Tokyo Central Hospital released a statement stating that Chairman Shinji Mitsunari had been poisoned and was currently under observation. With this announcement Vice Chairman Shino Kato has been appointed to oversee the day to day operations and approve all legislation passed by the Peoples Assembly. The Tokyo Capital Police Department has announced they are preforming a full on investigation along with SOT's provided by General Minimoto. The Peoples Revolutionary Army has deployed its forces to secure the Chairman's home and his office until the investigation is over. Chairman Shinji's son Tenchi has been recalled from the PRCJ Embassy located in Wintery and is expected to arrive in the country soon. The Peoples Assembly has held session and is preforming business as usual even in light of the recent developments of hearing the Chairman had been poison stating that, "this attempt on the Chairman's life can not say our work of helping the people. We must remain strong and united and we must continue to do the work that the Chairman would want us to do even in his absence."
  12. (OOC: I did read the link, I quiet enjoyed it.) The Peoples Assembly of the PRCJ find this fishy as well...that being said we refrain from getting involved in this action as we do not see fit to get involved in European Affairs. As long as the people of Estonia are treated well, that is what really matters.
  13. Earlier this morning Shinji Mitsunari was in stable condition at Tokyo Central Hospital. Dr. Fuuko Nakamura went on record with the following report: "After extensive blood testing, MRI's, and Cat Scans, we have concluded that Chairman Shinji Mitsunari had been exposed to Oleander through unknown methods. This leads us at the hospital to believe that Chairman Shinji Mitsunari has been poisoned. The amount of the poison within his blood stream would have been an effective dose to kill him had it not been for the fast acting of his staff and members of our team here at the hospital. Currently he is undergoing observation and we have reason to believe he will survive, but there may be long term effects." After the announcement the Chairman's home and office had been placed on lock down by the PRA Security Forces until Capital Police could preform an extensive investigation. The official PR person for the Peoples Assembly has stated the following: "We are currently investigating as to who could have poisoned Chairman Shinji Mitsunari and they will be prosecuted and if found guilty they will be executed as a traitor to the State and to the People's Republic."
  14. The Peoples Assembly in response to the Roman Republic statements on Communism, "The people of Japan support the Communist Party of Japan and its legitimacy as the governing body of the Peoples Republic of Communist Japan. The spread of any political idealism regardless if it is Democracy, Communism, or Fascism through the use of force should be frowned upon by any civilized nation."
  15. Economic Growth begins to slow Recently the economic growth of the nation of Communist Japan has started to slow as expansion costs in the newly acquired territory has lead to resources and funds being sent to the mainland the domestic portion of the economy has started to slow as costs increase and the amount of "Exportable Goods" begins to level out. The Peoples Assembly recently increased the funding to the military and to domestic agriculture development. This has led to spending on infrastructure improvements and upgrades decreasing as urban areas begin to reach their limits. The Minister of Economics has recently announced that she will be working with the Peoples Assembly to create a new budget that would make spending flexible to those area's such as Infrastructure upgrades and improvements that would shift to increasing both domestic product and exportable goods. PRASF clash with protestors border towns Following the wedding of Wintery's First Princess Lucia to Ambassador Tenchi Mitsunari (who is the son of the current Chairman of the Communist Party of Japan (CPJ) and Chairman of the Peoples Assembly, there has been several protests and demonstrations that have led to small conflicts between Peoples Revolutionary Army Security Forces and demonstrators. Under current peace time law, the PRASF are only allowed to use non-lethal methods to disperse demonstrators or to immobilize them for them to be arrested. This ranges from tear gas, pepper spray, stun grenades, shock sticks, rubber ball guns, and rubber ball grenades. Wintery demonstrators crossed the border into PRCJ held territory and held up traffic between the two nations as they held up signs and used discriminatory language against those of Communist Japan. Of the 3000 members of the protestors 132 were arrested, as the rest were dispersed using rubber ball guns and stun grenades. Security Forces have increased their presence at the border from 600 Security Force Officers to 2200 Security Force Officers.
  16. Word has come down from the Peoples Assembly that Shinji Mitsunari the current Chairman of the PRCJ has been taken to the hospital following unknown complications. Currently there is little information leaving Tokyo Central Hospital where it has been reported that Chairman Mitsunari has been taken to. The Minister of Internal Affairs, Minister Shiro Otowara, stated, "currently we are unsure of the condition or cause of the Chairman's current complications, however soon as the Doctor in charge lets us know we will be making a formal press conference to make the public aware."
  17. Shinji Mitsunari and all members of the Peoples Assembly are attending as is customary by tradition.

    Royal Divorce

I am deeply saddened to hear of this divorce so soon after the marriage of Tenshi and Lucia. We hope this will not cause problems for the nation.
  19. I like this idea myself. Though this does bring up one question, like for instance the territory of Japan is pretty easy but since I expanded to the mainland would that be considered as a colony or just a continuation of my land holdings in Asia? Cause with the small exception of the islands to the north once held by Mayor and the Tokyo Territory held by Britannia the island is Communist Japanese Territory so....I'd kind of be stuck.
  20. What are the demands of this new united rebel force? Are they seeking independence or simply to go against the newly established government?
  21. PRASF declares Curfew in Tokyo After a recent terrorist bombing in the Mines of the Britannia's and several buildings within their colonial territory located next Tokyo. In response to these attacks the Peoples Revolutionary Army Security Forces have been deployed into the city and with the assistance of the Capital Police Force they have secured Tokyo and have launched an investigation into the terrorist attack. Due to the attacks the PRASF have declared a curfew from 10PM-5AM and have announced that anyone caught on the street at those times will be subject to arrest and detainment for no less then 24hours and no more then 72hours. There has been some opposition to this move by the Peoples Assembly as some business are open 24 hours a day and require personnel to be on site around the clock. This has caused some business to rearrange their working hours or to cancel their 3rd shift staff all together. "This will hurt some business's but overall the economic state of the city and of the nation will remain intact." stated a PR Rep of the Peoples Assembly. It is unclear as to how long this Curfew will remain in effect. Peoples Assembly passes new Economic Bill The Peoples Assembly passed a new budget for the year and many are happy with the results. The Military received a slight increase to upgrade its current military hardware as well as to increase the number of troops. The greater majority of the budget was spent on Economic Development and Infrastructure upgrades such as the building of several new Stadiums, Banks, and Malls in the hopes of increasing commerce. There has also a plan to budget the expansion of the current citizen database and chipping network to the mainland territories as well as to expand a new central city to the mainland. There has been a call to increase the amount of Agricultural Farms in the nation to help support the growing population as well as increases to Police and Healthcare but these services only received a small increase. The Department of Health and Social Services announced that it would be seeking more funds in the next quarter from the government as it hoped to expand its Child Care Centers and its Veterans Care Centers. Peoples Assembly to take up debate on new Missile Defense System As time has progressed and the amount of technology has increased greatly after the 13 Year War there has been a call to invest money into the development of defenses of the nation to ensure the sovereignty of Communist Japan against foreign threat as many nations are against the idealism of Communism. This has been met with several ideas for a new Missile Defense System that would render Conventional Missile attacks against Communist Japan useless. The new program is in the conception stage and there is no current deadline on its development completion. The Kisiargi Corporation has been tasked with the development of the system.
  22. Special Operations Team's have arrested 12 individuals that have had ties with those responsible for the bombings of the mines located Britannia's territory of the Mt. Fuji - Tokyo area's. The individuals in question have been taken to an undisclosed location by the military and is currently being questioned about the incident. While they are being questioned the PRASF has announced that Tokyo will be placed on a curfew for 10PM to 5AM as well as have increased the number of personnel on the streets. Investigators are currently sorting through online posts, websites, and forums in an attempt to find any connections between this terror strike and others that have been carried out around Orbis. "We currently have no evidence to support a international terror group which would mean this would be the first instance of a domestic terror group since the end of the 13 Year War. We ask everyone to remain patient with our investigators as they search to acquire more information as to the planning and development of the terrorist strike against our allies of Britannia and their held colonial territory here in Communist Japan." stated lead investigator Shiro Hasagawa.
  23. The local Peoples Revolutionary Army Security Forces deployed troops along the border with Britannia's Mt. Fuji territory. It also sent a request to send in the Tokyo Medical Dispatch Teams in order to help assist with those injured in the blasts. The Special Operations Team (SOT's) were deployed and are currently looking for anyone that may have assisted the attackers. Furthermore the city of Tokyo and the surrounding area's of Mt. Fuji have been placed on curfew and lock down and the PRASF have been deployed along with the Capital Police to secure the streets.
  24. Tenchi Engaged to First Princess Lucia of Wintery In a surprise release by the Chairman Shinji Mitsunari to the public, his son Tenchi Mitsunari Ambassador of Wintery are to be wed at a date and time that is currently being arranged by the families. This news excites many within the nation of Communist Japan and has led to many planning festivals to show their support for Tenchi Mitsunari. The Peoples Assembly has shown a united front by supporting the move but also being cautious as some fear this could lead to "Capitalist" Ideas leaking into the nation as well as the fear that Tenchi Mitsunari may seek to expand capitalist ideas into the nation once he has been made Chairman of the Communist Party of Japan. Tenchi himself has yet to send word or give a speech about the wedding but it is expected that he will eventually.
  25. Chairman Shinji Mitsunari is honored and happy to hear of his sons engagement to the First Princess Lucia and the people of Communist Japan have already started planning festivals to honor the union which is customary in the nation. Even with the populace happy and planning ahead, there has been some rebuke by the Peoples Assembly. Despite their willingness to be allied with Wintery they fear that this wedding could lead to a insurgence of "Monarchy" propaganda as well as idealism along with the "Capitalist" idealism. Due to recent protests that have broken out in Wintery including on the border towns across the border from Kitaguni. The Peoples Revolutionary Army Security Forces have arrested several protesters that have crossed the border illegally and plan to transport them back to Wintery after processing.
