A kill spy operation would have had 2 outcomes: 1) failure: Belisarius would have been exposed on the defender's end. Since we'd have done it on a third party, we'd rely on the third party to be truthful in the matter. 2) success: Belisarius' spy capture count would have increased, proving he could do an action By doing a successful gather intel, there's no guarantee on who actually did the operation. I mean they could have even purposefully failed the gather intel OP, I suppose, but they didn't. They used max chances of success to maintain anonymity (whoever did the operation spent $207,846 to make damn sure the op didn't fail.). All we know is someone did an op. We don't know who.

3 reasons this is nonsense. First, he was (supposedly) willing to do it, but conveniently failed to do the right one. Secondly, it was not an insignificant amount of money. I'm guessing between 1 and 2 million could have been gained by him. Thirdly, it would have avoided the accusation I'm continuing to level at him. I could not be making this post right now if he had followed through. I'd be a laughing stock and have a much less full bank account. Try harder. We know where this is coming from, don't we? If you want I can make a fake one just to show you that this is the case. The solution I offered was foolproof. It would have been a huge win for Belisarius. He would not only have vindicated himself, but he would have made money in the process and put egg on my face. I offered it explicitly multiple times. There's no margin here. He was not that lazy. He was doing damage control.

I saw what I needed to. I said we could find a willing and unbiased 3rd party on IRC. I offered to pay for damages in advance. But no, Belisarius CLAIMS he does a gather intel operation (easily could have just had you do it) on Kurdanak (not an unbiased 3rd party). We were both on irc, We both could have picked a mutually agreed upon 3rd party. Nothing Belisarius has done has been even the least bit vindicatory; no it has been quite the opposite. I have put forward every possible way to help Belisarius prove his innocence and offered not only to pay for it but to compensate for it 3 times over. I have done so in good faith. That you are attempting to paint me as the opposite of that only speaks to your attempts at damage control, and a poor display at that. Edit: And I should remind people that kill spy operations are significantly more expensive than gather intel operations, So 3xs the cost of the operation would have been huge. Belisarius could have made serious money. But I have come to the conclusion that he simply couldn't. He had already used his spy op. And it wasn't on gather intel of Kurd.

Very funny. A reference to this post for everyone not in the know. He was online (meaning active in the moment [blue icon], not xxx minutes before) at that moment the attacks occurred. Two nights in a row, at the same time period each night. His capture counts increased accordingly each time. He can demonstrate if he still he a spy op available to him. He has motive, OOC, but relating to speed round. Means, motive, opportunity.

I can post my excel spreadsheet of recorded spies and kills. But that wouldn't be proof and neither would a screenshot. The proof is you performing a spy attack in the manner I described that would vindicate you.

Except I watched Belisarius do it. I saw my spy die and watched Belisarius' capture count increase. This happened twice I should add.

If you're maintaining that you didn't do it, all you need to do is perform an action upon a willing and unbiased third party (I nominate CMDR_Adama). You can purposefully fail which would send a message exposing you. Or you can do a successful one and we can watch your spy capture count increase (currently at 9). So succeed or fail, either way should vindicate you. Your op was done today, so you have until midnight server time. I haven't attacked GPA... And no one in my alliance has.

Ok so spies aren't meant for 12ns nations, but that just means 900ns nations can target something else. I had originally bought them to defend against other incoming spy attacks. Now you'll just have gobs of tanks or soldiers or planes being blown up, again with no way to respond or defend since it's 99% success rate for the attacker. And actually I would have the resources with or without infra. I did before that bug and I will be able to gain them again when I rebuy infra. Edit: My suggestion would be that if an attacker is targeting a nation smaller than he or she is, it should be: If (Attacker's NS) > (Defender's NS) (Attacker's NS)/(Defender's NS) x Cost So if the attacker is 2x's the strength, it costs twice as much; 3x's, three times as much, etc.

Sorry for the grave dig, but this issue has become apparent again. I'm being spied on by a top-ten nation with 50 spies. My nation strength is 12. I obviously have no way to defend or respond to this. My nation will forever be deprived of spies (except for buying it for 1 day use before they are killed) as long as this person keeps it up. Is it really reasonable that I can lose 100k worth of material each day as a 12 ns nation when a 900 ns nation can spend 200k to kill them? Think of the differences in income here.
