  1. Slot filled a TKR gov member after leaving the war and proclaiming “neutrality”.
  2. War interference is a valid CB change my mind.
  3. Shhh it’s ok the other alliances will reach out and do the real negotiations we get it you’re a real tough guy.
  4. Look at who voted for what. It’s not the numbers but the poll is as biased as the end of year awards.
  5. Chaos is the only one with a valid CB, which I’ve stated before. As for stats, I don’t think anyone will change anyone’s mind. Your side considers it totally separate but we consider it damage that we would have done ourselves. Regardless it’s damage that occurred immediately prior to this war and with this war continuing into it.
  6. We’re measuring victory by the fact your coalition is down to about 50 intact people with it falling everyday. You’ll need to work on the myth of an untouchable upper tier more since we have pulled down several 30+ people and continue to do so with impunity. Again stats is the only defense, and sure you have more damage and we likely won’t flip it when you include Surfs Up it’s a far closer picture. Just cause we weren’t the ones who caused the damage doesn’t mean the damage didn’t occur. And nothing to clear up when you lose an aggressive war the terms aren’t as kind.
  7. Our members do have fun, and it literally matters 0 if you do to us. The meta you seek is a short beat down in which you can perpetuate the current hierarchy, and we’re under no responsibility to play ball.
  8. It already is possible depending on who you fight. If any major alliance blitzes a micro it’s going desert storm. No one should expect a world war to be done in a month.
  9. The change in meta was only borne out of Paracov’s stupidity. They were both bad enough to lose and then double down on that by accepting their losses rather than equalizing damage. This led to super high damage differentials and weak alliances and their eventual fall. Alliances of all sides have learned that short high damage wars only encourage repeats of that. Any self-respecting leader has no desire to make wars “fun” for the other side at the expense of their own members, nor any obligation too.
  10. By the time that operation downfall was planned the Cold War was already in full swing. There wasn't any serious effort to include the Soviets as the Americans knew including them would only induce a North/South Korean East/West Germany situation. Americans never liked blood, but they were certainly willing to shed it, and on the Japanese even more so than the Germans. But to argue that it was Soviet entry vs American nukes seems silly when it is the comparison of losing a colony vs having a home territory being destoryed. It is akin to having the British lose India vs Manchester being nuked. Both are large losses, but only one hits the soul of the British. The emperor was barely granted clemency, and it was largely due to his usefulness as an American puppet. And no fuel wasn't quite the case, more the desperate lack of it. This is why the Japanese took such desperate measures such as preparing women to charge the beaches with spears. The lack of modern supplies was not a determent to continuation of the war, as they would literally rather have Japan die than submit.
  11. They were suing for peace but not an unconditional surrender, and that was the sticking point. The bombs were absolutely necessary when you consider factors such as elements of the Japanese military still refusing to surrender and attempting a coup. It is a possibility that America could have held Japan to a perpetual blockade and bomb their country but its likely this would cost far more lives than a capitulation after nuclear bomb use.
  12. I mean the atomic bombs saved far more lives than they cost. Operation Downfall would have killed way more Americans and far more Japanese than either bomb would cost. The Americans were ready to gas every Japanese cave and they Japanese were sharpening bamboo sticks to use as spears. It would have been Iwo Jima x100 and the bombs stopped that from occurring.
  13. Building on this there was a very real fear the the Soviets would not stop and the agreed upon line and keep rolling into the west. This is one of the primary arguments (that I don't prescribe to personally) that the nuclear bombs were dropped not to make Japan surrender, but to intimidate the Soviets. Even if the United States had equal theoretical strength almost all of the USSR's forces were situated in better geographic locations, and with much shorter supply lines. Hence why any military actions against the Soviets was "unthinkable".
  14. Obviously not a good one if he went to the future and still joined TKR.
  15. Here's a freebie: "I relish in ruining browser based nation games. I cannot wait to have hegemonic control so that I can slowly squeeze the life out of this game and all those who oppose me."
  16. Long time in a browser based nation sim tho
  17. A: But they won B: So 50 years as a superpower before falling? C : Haven't heard any complaints yet.
  18. Can't tell if you are just trolling right now. You can take more damage and still win a war. To suggest the USSR didn't win the war is absurd.
  19. I only care if they won, which they did, just like us.
  20. Well of course. They are literally slaves remember?
  21. Sure they're just slaves right? And if you can't cooperate you're not in the coalition and we will react accordingly. Don't be salty that your free beiges are going away one way or another.
  22. A partner cooperates. The military can execute someone for treasonous behavior and that's what is being done here.
