We got at least one here where I leave.....and yes its at a gas station. Its set up so you can drive up and use it from your car! I've never been through El Paso, but I'm sure Poplar Bluff, MO is just as bad.....if not worse!

Hes got a built-in hot plate......for convenience sake.....while hes killing bad guys, hes cooking up some "ramen" at the same time. Talk about a time saver!

I know......kind of scary isn't it! Maybe I'm just getting softer in my old age. In my younger days I would have yelled out, "get a haircut and get a job you lousy bum! I work hard for my money and what I have and you're just sitting there all bum-like and expect people like me to found your chosen life style! I mean portions of my taxes are going to pay for these charities who feed and shelter the homeless why should I give anymore than that!" But now....eh, take my taxes, build some housing that is centered around a soup kitchen and in return for staying in the apartment, the tenants work. Hell, as they doing this "day-labor" work, they could actually get some training/skills and possible get themselves a regular job and out of the apartment and into a place they can afford themselves. If they don't want to work....they don't get a place to sleep or free food.....easy as that. If someone wants to live that life-style....I'm fine wth that, but don't be a drain on society, either work for the betterment, or move away to the desert or some other isolated place!

I'll be honest, everywhere I've lived over the last 20-25 years, I've known about the homelessness issues/problems, but honestly I've heard nothing about any of these sorts ordinances that you've sourced. Not saying that its not happening, just that I've never heard about it personally. Not sure my position on the whole thing. Taking the whole religion thing out of the equation, a good and kind person would and should help their fellow man in need. I also see that the cities would like see their streets clean with no drunkards or panhandlers or mental cases roaming the aimlessly. Its a tough issue for sure. I know this might be a pipe dream, but if these cities who are putting forth these ordinances would build some housing units were the tenants would be able to stay in return for them doing some public service work. This way, they are off the street with decent place to sleep, and the city would get some basic labor like park cleaning, painting over graffiti, litter picked up, etc., etc. I have a whole text wall I could go on about but I'll spare everyone the rantings of what believe is the only sane minded person on this planet!

As for me doing a quick google myself.....why would I do that when you are the one making the statement......I mean if you're going to make a statement like that, you should put your sources in the same post! For certain things I can see holding the parents responsible for their kids action, like physically harming/assualt, vandalism, etc. With bullying, unless it becomes physical.....instead of stifling free speech, why not teach our kids to have thicker skins and blow off what others say.....thats what we are suppose to do as adults right. Imagine if you're at work and a coworker comes into your cubicle and starts making fun of you for something....sure there might be some workplace regulation against that and they could possibly get fired, but imagine going to file a police report over it. Instead of sheltering kids from every insensitive thing out there and giving them everything they want and treating everyone and everything around them as the problem, why not treat them as small adults to get them ready for the actual real world.....I mean come on people.....!!!

I listen to a wide variety of stuff....mainly rock (all decades & all styles), pop (not by choice....its what the kids listen to in the car) and some rap/hip-hop (perferably the older rap stuff...Run DMC, old Beasties, etc). My all time fav though......bass! I'm an old bass-head from back in the days of stuffing four 10" woofers being pushed by about 500 watts behind the seat of my S-10! Techmaster PEB, DJ Magic Mike, etc. My gets pissed at me when she gets in our new Durango and the sat radio in on "Backspin" or the "House" or "Electronic" stations and I leave the volume up!

Nope....I didn't graduate H.S. until '89 then joined the Navy 10 days later. My first three years were spent at training commands. Even fhough I've been to a few places, I never made it to Central and South America, Africa (close several times to Egypt and did some anti-pirate operations off the coast of Somalia) or Antarctica. I have circumnavigated the globe though.....not allat one time, but my travels over the years have taken me all the way around.

Granted......but you are now blind and your laptop has to use "text-to-speech" and the only voice you get is one that Steven Hawkins guy uses! I wish I could get someone with a really cool/recognizable voice (like Morgan Freeman or that guy who does the A&E mystery shows and the Ron Burgundy movies) to narrate my life story!

I used to use "The_Gloved1"......and no....it had nothing to do with tne retard Michael Jackson.....but from the basketball player Gary Peyton, when I made my first Yahoo account back in like '99 or whenever that was. Since I started coaching american style football several years ago, I changed it to "Coach". Been using it ever since.

All of the opponents of the voter ID card have been stating that that is an impossiblity.....since poor folks can't take the the time off to vote.....because their employers would fire them....which would be illegal as well....then there is no futher cause for this discussion. At every turn with the suggestions made....issue free ID cards, make it national holiday where businesses are closed or on some sort of half day, etc......the responses are.....oh the poor work to much, can't take the time off...etc, etc. I don't think any ground will be make here.....since no matter what suggestions are offered.....they will be shot down with some form or another of nonsence about one thing or another. What really pisses me off is all these people are giving excuses about why they can't do something, well !@#$ people, how about getting off your collective asses and change things. Until that happens, until people really want to change how their own lives are....I think we as one of the greatest societies will fall by the wayside.....unfortunate as that sounds....thats the way thiscountry is headed.

Once again.....how long are the polling stations open for? I don't know of anyone who works 14 plus a day....unless you are an ER doc, or first responder who unfortunately for them are required to work those crazy shifts. As stated in an earlier post.....employers don't like to pay overtime so at the most they'd work either 8-10....maybe 12 hours.....still time to go and vote!

If they get days off in the middle of the week, then with the voting day already on a Tuesday, there shouldn't be a problem...if they are off anyway and can vote, then they should be able to get a voter ID card on the same day as they are going to vote. And to those folks who say "Everyone regardless of if they are a citizen should be able to vote.....here is a better solution then.....1 world government with no borders at all......instead of having citizens from 200 plus countries......why not just become citizens of the world.....one set of laws and one set of rulers/politicians to govern us all!!!!!
