  1. You know I give a fu** about you everyday.
Guess it's time that I tell you the truth.
If I share my toys, will you let me stay?
Don't want to leave this play date with you.

  2. I don't give a fu** about you anyways.

Whoever said I gave a sh*t 'bout you?

You never share your toys or communicate.

I guess I'm just a play date to you.

  3. 1. Alex checked out this thread and it wasn't taken down or moved. I know Polaris likes to censor me, especially since I've spoken out about things before. Like I said in my original post, you'll have to deal with it this time. 2. I guess moderating someone who's an ass all the time and who causes people's experiences on the server to be negative is abusing power. 3. Here's a quote from the Polaris charter: Answer me this - when is Grub active outside of logging into the game and fighting wars these past months? As someone who's on Discord everyday, I've only seen him actually say something once every few months or so. Whatever he says is something random 99% of the time that doesn't have to do with alliance affairs at all. It seems like the rest of gov is responsible for everything. Reaching Grub was never easy, even for our own government. Sure, real life obligations are more important than the game, but the Regent acts as the voice of the Emperor whenever they're away, which was a lot. So yes, I did talk with WSxPhoenix. She's the only one who's familiar with my real-life situation, which makes speaking to her easier. As she was the voice of the Emperor and second-in-command, I didn't see a problem with talking to her. 4. I've stated over and over again how to fix the server's problems, or how to improve things to make them better. My suggestions either went unheard or got straight up denied. It felt like I had as much say as a regular member, much less a Council Adviser. 5. I wasn't the one who created "back doors" for permissions. It was someone else's genius idea to put one of the moderator roles (which I was assigned) above the Emperor roles (and every other role except Admin.) I didn't assign myself both Emperor roles, just the P&W one with the intent to set up a few opt-in channels. Prior to this, I had informed Cobra that there were several permissions I needed to complete the task which I lacked. I had gotten a couple, but certainly not all of them. While I was in the process of setting up the opt-in channels, I took the opportunity to grant the Council Adviser role the basic permissions I needed to complete my task - permissions that the Emperor role and every other government role had like Manage Emojis. When I was done, I unassigned myself the Emperor role. I'd also like to note that with the additions I made to the P&W Council Adviser role, it once again matched the CN Council Adviser role. It's very clear the only reason these permissions were missing is because it was the role I happened to have. 6. Despite trying to help complete a task to improve the server, (one that was stated repeatedly by the rest of gov to be simple yet didn't get done for months), I wasn't shown any appreciation for it, hence my reply "You're welcome, by the way." 7. I was following the server's rules up to when my moderation abilities were first taken away. I muted Terminator in accordance with the rules the server had at the time. After my mod abilities were stripped, the rules were deleted and replaced with something completely different. 8. It seems to me that ever since the server merge, CN gov members who aren't in P&W gov have been having an influence over P&W gov-related decisions. What makes it worse is the fact that several CN gov members are in completely different alliance governments in P&W. 9. Again, the post wasn't taken down. It's called free speech. Deal with it. 1. No, the actions against Terminator were the reason. The thought of removing my mod abilities was circulated after I moderated him the first time, and taken away after moderating him the second time. There were no prior instances of having my mod abilities removed or threatening to have them removed. 2. The deal was made a few weeks after my mod abilities were taken, so I went without them for two months. 3. If moderation permissions were handled with specific roles as you say, then why was P&W Council Adviser the only role that lacked several permissions? 4. The only thing wrong here is the possible security risks that come with having a moderator role above every important and high-ranking government role. It's entirely possible for gov members in only one game to view the other game's gov channels, regardless of whether they're in the other game's government. 5. Apparently I'm the cancer of the server when I've had multiple people message me expressing similar feelings about Terminator. As a final note, it was confirmed that I'm now on a perma-roll list in both games over a Discord issue. This has to be the most ridiculous reason for perma-ZI I've ever seen. I've never done anything worse that would validate perma-ZI. All I did was attempt to make the alliance server a better place, and failed I guess. Lastly, no, I didn't enter vacation mode in response to getting kicked from the alliance. I had renewed my VM several days prior due to job-related stuff IRL. The vacation mode was also approved much earlier by WSxPhoenix as Regent. I'm hoping this issue can be over and done with. I guess it isn't enough that I'm banned from the Polaris community altogether. You guys have more important things to worry about than perma-rolling me. Just saying.
  4. That's fine. Don't let me waste the time you could be using to get offended by little anime girls and striking down anyone who mentions them.
  5. As anyone who’s at least a little familiar with me knows, I’ve been a member of Polaris for over three years. I’ve been a member of the New Polar Order in Cybernations for even longer. As of a few days ago, this is no longer the case. Throughout my time in the alliance, I’ve contributed a great deal to it. I’ve made artwork for them. I created and maintained the Polaris-related pages on the wiki. I created their Discord server and maintained it for over two years. I’m not saying I was the only one who contributed to these things, but I feel it would be fair to say my involvement with the alliance wasn’t anything minor. A few months ago, we came to the decision to combine our Cybernations and Politics & War Discord servers after my initial suggestion over the summer. Again, I wasn’t the only one involved in this process. Cobrastrike took on the task of creating bot commands for the purpose of role assignment, so that gov members from the opposite game couldn’t assign roles that they weren’t supposed to. While he was doing that, I spent the whole night going through each individual channel and adjusting the role permissions so they couldn’t be accessed by those who shouldn’t see them, as well as creating categories, channels, and roles for our Cybernations members/government. The server merge took place in late August or early September, I believe. The peace that the server had experienced up until that point was quickly cut short when the !@#$ known as Terminator joined the server. By this point, I had passed server ownership onto EaTeM, while still maintaining moderator permissions as a Council Adviser. Terminator had a history of not following the rules in our CN server, and that trend continued. Multiple times, I had asked him to quit violating the rules we had in place - spamming, not listening to mods, making the server a negative place in general. Unsurprisingly, he wouldn’t listen, so I used my mod powers to delete several of his messages and mute him. That was my mistake, as I was a fool to think the rules actually applied to him. Instead of Terminator facing any consequences, I ended up being punished instead. My moderator permissions were taken away and I was stripped of my position as Council Adviser. Needless to say, I was pretty pissed off. After several heated back and forth conversations and a couple months later, I was finally given back my mod permissions and position as Council Adviser. When I returned, I discovered that the server was drastically different behind the scenes. Government members from either game now had the ability to assign any role they wanted, and gain access to any channel they wanted. My role as a P&W Council Adviser also lacked several permissions that it had previously, and didn’t even match the permissions that the CN Council Adviser role had. After bringing up the issues with how things were now, it didn’t seem like anyone cared about the possible security risks. The last part of the story involves me setting up some opt-in channels for the server, which I had received permission to do after asking like I was supposed to. The rest of gov was offline for the night, and I discovered after starting to work on the channels that I didn’t have sufficient permissions to complete them. To get around this, I temporarily assigned myself the Emperor role so I could finish setting up the channels. Upon receiving the role, I did not gain access to any channels that I didn’t already have access to. I had only received a few extra permissions that I didn’t have like Manage Emojis and Manage Channels. After setting up the opt-in channels, I took the Emperor role off of me and went to sleep. After waking up the next day and logging into Discord, I was being treated by everyone like I had just committed a heinous crime. After doing what I was given permission to do in an attempt to make the server a better place, I was treated with a vote to once again strip me of my mod permissions. Again, I was pretty upset. Despite being mistreated in the past, I was still trying to contribute to the alliance I had been in the past three years. I was pretty done at this point, so I decided to leave the server. The next day, I woke up to discover I was kicked out of and banned from the CN alliance, apparently targeted for perma-ZI, as well as kicked from the P&W alliance. My question for Polaris, that I’m finally getting around to asking - was it really necessary to ban me from a server I already left on top of everything else? I called Polaris my home for many years, defended it when I could, spent countless hours contributing to it in many ways, and I’m treated like this. I know you seem to hate being called out in public, but I guess you’ll have to deal with it now. To anyone who made it this far in the post, I shouldn’t need to say this at this point, but please don’t join Polaris. They aren’t worth it.
  6. Get out of my head before I do what I know is best for you.
Get out of my head before I listen to everything she said to me.
Get out of my head before I show you how much I love you.
Get out of my head before I finish writing this poem.

But a poem is never actually finished.
    It just stops moving.

  7. I’m sorry to anyone who isn’t enjoying the Polaris server as much anymore. I regret giving up server ownership. It just isn’t the same.

  8. Now we just need the New Sith Order to reform and the Triforce will be complete.
  9. This guy really needs to cool it with the spammy posts. https://forum.politicsandwar.com/index.php?/profile/9905-kenji-isa/content/&type=forums_topic&change_section=1
  10. Alliance anthem suggestion. Definitely not looking for an excuse to share this song. >.>
  11. This guy is spamming in General Roleplay and the National Affairs subforums. https://forum.politicsandwar.com/index.php?/profile/9703-president-kornev-borisovic/content/ Edit: So I guess it's actually roleplay, although his original posts were very close together with a bunch of Russian characters and all caps, so it looked like spam.

  14. I’ve had my idea ready. I just think it would be more fun if the RP was more populated.

  16. Just wondering what happens if someone wants to join and there’s an NPC nation there? Do they get all their territory, or...?
  17. I'll just use this opportunity to say I don't have Photoshop anymore, so there won't be any map making from me.
  18. @Xibei National Counsel Just use an Imgur link for Asia.
  19. I have a storyline in mind that I've been wanting to do, but it's more of a long-term thing, so I've been hesitant.
  20. Immediate superpowers don't make the RP any better. I think spheres of influence are important, with regional powers competing/interacting with each other before they interact with nations on the other side of the world.
  21. I've had some ideas in mind for...probably over a year now, but I haven't really expressed them on the forum before. I figured now would be as good a time as any, since they might get new players involved or bring back older players. New subforums: Looking back at the National RP Archive, it's interesting to see the past subforums that were created with the hope of resolving specific issues the roleplay faced at the time. In-Depth Roleplay was the first one. It was created due to the growing number of shorter posts being made, with the goal of encouraging lengthier posts with more detail. Although it accomplished its goal, it was eventually retired for a couple reasons. Lengthier posts began appearing in the main National Affairs subforum, and the In-Depth subforum started being treated as completely separate from the main subforum's roleplay. Then along came Organic Roleplay. This was created for the purpose of establishing a more natural roleplay with less rules than the main subforum. It was eventually retired after community interest and activity died out. Lifetime of War was next. I'm not sure what that was, but it was the least active of the subforums to be created. The last subforum to be created was Map-Based Roleplay. It was created for the purpose of reviving the style of roleplay that used to take place in the main subforum, as well as creating a distinct environment for map-based RP not based on your in-game nation. This left the main subforum free for roleplaying the actions of your in-game nation. It also eventually died out due to the lack of community interest and activity. It should be noted that the rules attached to some of these subforums as well as involvement from moderators also turned off people from participating. My idea: Perhaps the reason I held off on sharing my idea was because I felt that it would only attract previous players instead of new ones, which wouldn't exactly resolve the activity issue. However, who will ever really know unless the idea is presented in the first place? The idea I had was to retire the Map-Based Roleplay subforum to the Archive (which doesn't prevent the two people still using it once or twice a month from continuing to use it), and creating two new subforums in its place. (You might be able to see why I held off on sharing this, since what's the point of creating more subforums when activity is non-existent?) Anyway, the first subforum would be for more realistic roleplay, similar to real life. The second subforum would be for fantasy roleplay. (Both of these wouldn't have to be associated with your in-game nation, of course.) The realistic RP would be map-based, just as the Map-Based Roleplay is now, and the fantasy RP would be based on a fantasy/fictional world. For example, it could be based on, say, the world of Remnant from the RWBY series. Basically, it would be something entirely different from just plain Earth. There are a few issues I can think of with fantasy RP, however. If a map was used from a preexisting story, it may just be easiest to do a roleplay based off the entire series at that point. Obviously not everyone will be familiar with the world that's chosen. Another issue is creating reasonably-sized provinces for whatever map is chosen if it doesn't already have them. The only solution I can really think of would be to find an original world with provinces already drawn, and letting the players shape the world as they go. My last idea, that I just remembered while writing this, is to have a roleplay that takes place on Earth, but during a specific time in history. One could take place during World War II. One could take place even further back in time, or in the near or distant future. For any of these, I'd suggest keeping rules and moderator involvement to a minimum so the roleplay can flow naturally. However, I recognize that these ideas are best-suited for larger and more active communities. I still wanted to share them and see what others think, though.
