  1. The island was so dense with forest that the Avalon was forced to hover just above Rokkenjima's single dock, letting its passengers off onto the beach. Even from above, Rokkenjima's thick forest shrouded the island in mystery, although at the very least, no military units were detected on or around the island. Greeting the Britannian arrivals on the beach was Ronove, who gave a polite bow to the guests. "On behalf of the Witch Council, I welcome you to the island of Rokkenjima. My name is Ronove. I have been sent by Lady Beatrice herself to greet you all and guide you up to the mansion. If there is anything else I can do, please just let me know."
  2. The large double doors of the Ushiromiya mansion swung open slowly. Five individuals walked inside as the doors shut behind them. Looking around, they noticed the rays of sunlight shining through the windows, revealing the dust that had been launched into the air by the opening of the doors as it fell to the floor. The first to speak was the Golden and Endless Witch, Eva-Beatrice. "So it's still here." She could barely finish her sentence before coughing from all the dust. "Although it could use some cleaning up..." The next to speak was Beatrice. "Why don't you do the honors? You are the current master of Rokkenjima, after all. The one who found the gold." Eva glanced at her predecessor before raising her staff. A swarm of golden butterflies appeared from her staff and filled the room, perhaps even the entire mansion as well as the island's other buildings. After a few moments, they disappeared, leaving behind a perfectly clean environment. The lights flickered on as the power was restored. It looked as though the mansion had just been built. Virgilia commented next. "A splendid bit of magic. It brings back memories of training Beatrice on this island many years ago." Lambdadelta was less impressed. She pouted as she shrugged her shoulders. "It was alright, I suppose. I could have done a lot more." She puffed out her chest as a large smile appeared on her face, awfully proud of herself. Bernkastel looked at her with a blank expression. "You were the one who sanctioned Eva as a witch. Need you be reminded that you are her witch guardian?" Lambda's proud expression broke as Bernkastel rained on her parade once again. "Hmph. Party pooper..." The group wandered over to the large painting that served as the main attraction of the Entrance Hall. The person pictured was Eva-Beatrice, the current master of Rokkenjima. After staring at it for a few moments, Beatrice clapped her hands. "Okay~ Why don't we get this place decorated for our guests? They will be here any day now. Ronove! Seven Sisters of Purgatory!" Beatrice's voiced echoed through the Entrance Hall. Not even a full second later, the people she summoned appeared before the group. Ronove appeared, giving a reserved bow. "Yes, I am honored to serve you once again, Beatrice-sama." The Seven Sisters of Purgatory bowed as well, announcing their arrival in unison. "Seven Sisters of Purgatory, present!" Beatrice smiled, giving her order to her faithful furniture. "I am requesting assistance in decorating the mansion for our guests this weekend. Let's be sure to give them a Rokkenjima welcome." Ronove and the Seven Sisters of Purgatory replied in unison. "Understood, Beatrice-sama!"
  3. An official response from the Witch Council When questioned by RNN reporters on the matter, Eva-Beatrice of the Witch Council issued the following response: "Although Rokkenjima doesn't involve itself with American affairs most of the time, let it be known that we support the current bi-party system. It may be true that both parties are complete failures in getting anything useful accomplished, but it is still better than the alternatives. Corporations should not be allowed to hold anymore power. That would only allow corruption and anti-consumer practices. Communist regimes cannot be allowed to exist anywhere, especially in America. Rokkenjima may take military action if the USSA is established to quickly and decisively snuff out Communism in North America. Lastly, the Systems Alliance would only further weaken the United States, and open them up to being taken advantage of further. That is our official stance on the matter."

  5. With the global war falling apart and Polaris finally agreeing to white peace, there is still one major issue that plagues the community. As everyone knows, I was unfairly banned from the Polaris server back in December, with all the waifus I had collected over the months lost to me forever. As we speak, the waifus are being held hostage in the Polaris server, waiting for me to return and reclaim them. I would like to call on the community to get #FreeEva'sWaifus trending. Together, we can make a positive change after months of negativity. Do it for the waifus.
  6. Free Eva's waifus from imprisonment in the Polaris server. Do the right thing.
  7. Ohayōgozaimasu! Welcome to the Rokkenjima News Report for February 4, 2020 here on RNN! I'm your host, Clair Vaux Bernardus. This episode should be a rather short one, but still important nonetheless. We have a major update for you regarding the ongoing Sino-Rokkenjima War, as well as some foreign affairs news. To begin, RNN has a major update regarding the ongoing conflict in China. On the morning of February 4, the Chinese autonomous region of Tibet declared its independence from the People's Republic of China. Citizens of the territory have taken up arms against the Chinese military presence in the region. It is suspected that these weapons may have been supplied by foreign countries. As of now, it is unknown what country the weapons came from. Rokkenjima remains the only country to officially be in armed conflict with China, although what can be certain is that the conflict has caught the attention of other nations. The Witch Council made a statement earlier today to deny supplying Tibet with weapons, but expressed Rokkenjima's support for Tibet and promise to send reinforcements to the territory upon request from Tibetan rebels. Our last topic for today has to do with foreign affairs. With sovereignty over Japan, Taiwan, Sakhalin, and the Kuril Islands still disputed, the Witch Council has invited members of Calondia's new government to attend a conference on the island of Rokkenjima to discuss the matter. The Witch Council has also informed RNN that The Holy Britannian Empire has been invited as well, but for what reason remains confidential. The date of the conference is still unknown, with the invitations to the aforementioned parties set for "their earliest convenience." That is all for this episode of the Rokkenjima News Report here on RNN. Until next time, ja ne!
  8. Events up to February 4 have been added.
  9. A mysterious envelope marked with the golden eagle, and sealed with wax imprinted with the symbol of the Ushiromiya family head appeared on a certain desk in The Holy Britannian Empire. That desk belonged to the Emperor himself, Lelouch Vi Britannia. The letter was accompanied by no messenger. It simply appeared silently on the Emperor's desk, only noticed upon him turning around. As he did, a single golden butterfly took flight from atop the envelope before disappearing. Upon delicately opening the envelope, the contents of the letter within read: "It has been far too long, Emperor Lelouch. The Golden and Endless Witch, Beatrice herself has decided to personally write you this letter. As you may be aware, Rokkenjima has found itself in armed conflict with China. Although we have already achieved massive territorial victories, things are nowhere close to over. We have looked to Britannia and taken notice to something. I am sure you see it as well. You and your Empire have gotten soft. You have lost Japan, willingly ceded New York City and half of the continent to the weakened United States. It is not a stretch to say Britannia has experienced massive decline in recent years. The Witch Council of Orbis is offering you this opportunity to recapture the former glory of The Holy Britannian Empire. Take up arms with us in China and expand your influence, or isolate yourselves as your power and land continue to whittle away. If you are interested, the Witch Council has invited you to attend a conference on the island of Rokkenjima at your earliest convenience to discuss things further. An invitation has been sent to the new government of Calondia as well. We sincerely hope you are able to attend." - The Golden and Endless Witch of Rokkenjima, Beatrice
  10. The People's Republic of China vs. Rokkenjima The conflict began in January when protestors in Hong Kong succeeded in taking over the city's Central Government Complex and killing pro-mainland members of government. They seceded from mainland China, declaring themselves as the independent Republic of Hong Kong. The Witch Council of Rokkenjima quickly took action, meeting with Hong Kong's new government where an annexation agreement was reached. Hong Kong would become sovereign Rokkenjiman territory in exchange for protection from the People's Republic of China. Immediately following the annexation of Hong Kong, the People's Republic of China declared war on Rokkenjima. China wasted no time attempting to take back Hong Kong by force. City defenses managed to hold out until Rokkenjima's main forces arrived, securely defending Hong Kong's border. In the north, Rokkenjima's Armed Forces crossed into Manchuria from Korea. Naval invasions took place all along the Chinese coast. By the end of the month, Manchuria and China's eastern coast from Beijing to Shanghai was securely under Rokkenjiman control. Fighting continues as both nations find themselves at war with each other once again. Fighting continued into February with Rokkenjiman ground and air forces pushing further into the provinces of Shandong, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang. The city of Macau was also captured by Rokkenjiman forces pushing into the city from Hong Kong. There has yet to be a major counterattack from Chinese forces as they attempt to regroup and reorganize following Rokkenjima's aggressive push into its territory. On February 4, the Chinese autonomous region of Tibet declared its independence from the People's Republic of China. Citizens of the territory took up arms supplied by foreign countries in an attempt to topple the Chinese military presence in the region. Rokkenjima declared its support for Tibet later the same day, promising to send reinforcements to Tibetan rebels upon request. On March 5, the People's Republic of China and Rokkenjima signed a ceasefire due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in Asia. No further combat between the two nations would occur beyond this point, thus ending the Sino-Rokkenjima War. PRC Casualties: Civilian: ~610 Military: ~170,000 Rokkenjima Casualties: Civilian: 0 Military: 50 Front line changes:
  11. With the conclusion of the Rokkenjima-Britannia conflict, Rokkenjima once again found itself an established presence on Orbis. Upon its formation, Rokkenjima's territory consisted only of Japan, the Kuril Islands, Sakhalin, Korea, and Taiwan. In its time away, Communist China rose yet again to be a dominant force in the region, doing everything in its power with the exception of military intervention to bring Hong Kong under its absolute control. In January, Hong Kong protestors succeeded in taking over the Central Government Complex and killing pro-mainland members of government. Meanwhile, sovereignty of Japan, Taiwan, the Kuril Islands, and Sakhalin became disputed between Rokkenjima and the Empire of Calondia. There had yet to be any armed conflict by either nation to bring these lands under their complete control. Deciding it didn't want to open up fighting on multiple fronts during its war with China, the Witch Council sent an invitation to the government of Calondia to meet on the island of Rokkenjima (just south of Niijima) to hold discussions on the matter. The response is currently pending.

  13. We have breaking news for you this morning. It was just announced by the Witch Council that an agreement was reached last night between Rokkenjima and The Holy Britannian Empire regarding the war. Britannia agreed to cede Japan to Rokkenjima under the condition that they retain sovereignty over the Mt. Fuji area. Per the agreement, Britannia began to withdraw from Japan while relocating a portion of her citizens and military forces to the Mt. Fuji area. With the reestablishment of Rokkenjima's presence on Orbis, the Witch Council decided to reclaim Rokkenjima's other former Asian territories - South Korea, North Korea, Sakhalin, Manchuria, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. It looks like this is the conclusion of the Rokkenjima-Britannia war updates. Until next time, ja ne!

  15. Since I know at least three people will claim Japan at the start, maybe we could fill in Japan (and other disputed territories) with diagonal stripes with each nation's color. If that's decided on, I imagine the 40 provinces of Japan would count towards each nation's 100 province limit.
  16. @Lelouch Vi Britannia An example would be The Empire (in red) from The Saga of Tanya the Evil.
  17. Another suggestion is to allow players to be entire countries, whether real or fictional. Maybe not something as big as Russia, but still larger than 100 provinces in some cases.
  18. I think the requirement of a new topic per month is a bit outdated. Posts that continue a thread/story should be fine as long as they meet the one paragraph requirement. As for colonies, I think nations should be mindful of barriers that may be imposed by other nations which would prevent them from suddenly moving in a large military force and establishing a presence on nearby land. I believe the starting amount of provinces should be increased. I don't see a whole bunch of people joining, so it would be best to fill in as much white space as possible.
  19. This just in, Eva-Beatrice of the Witch Council has issued a statement regarding the war thus far. RNN has received the statement and will present it to our viewers now. "Good evening, citizens of Rokkenjima. This is the Golden and Endless Witch Eva-Beatrice speaking on behalf of the Witch Council. As you know, we recently entered into armed conflict with the Holy Britannian Empire on the planet of Orbis. Our goal is to recapture the Japanese islands that are currently being occupied by the Empire. As of now, our forces have yet to capture any land, but have succeeded in dealing heavy losses to Britannian military and infrastructure in the region. I would like to take this opportunity to confirm the reports of an Aurora Bomb detonation over Tokyo. The bomb was of the 50 Mt-class, which is capable of leveling entire cities. In this instance, the bomb detonated high enough in the air that damage to the city was minimized somewhat. The Witch Council did not issue the order to use the Aurora Bomb against Britannia. We are currently investigating why this happened, with suspicion that the airship which dropped the bomb had gone rogue, although nothing is certain yet. As for the current state of the war, the heavy losses experienced thus far are mutual. The Air and Navy fleets sent to Orbis as a part of the first wave have been wiped out by Britannia as well as their allies. Despite being outnumbered, our forces have performed impressively thus far. Both parties are currently in the midst of a ceasefire, but this isn't the end. Rokkenjima will strike again, even harder then before. This I can promise you. In the meantime, continue to tune into RNN for the latest news. Have a wonderful rest of your night." It has also been reported to RNN that a Rokkenjiman starship is currently in orbit around Orbis. Although the Witch Council hasn't confirmed its purpose, we speculate that it is used to dock Rokkenjima's World End Airship Fleet, as well as other military forces. That's all we have for now. We will continue to update everyone when more information becomes available.
  20. The January 12, 2020 episode of the Rokkenjima News Report has been added.
  21. This just in, we are getting reports from Rokkenjiman military forces on the front lines that an Aurora Bomb detonation was detected at 9:11 P.M. JST over the Japanese capital of Tokyo. The city is referred to as the Tokyo Settlement by Britannia, the capital of Area 11. The number of casualties and overall damage to the city is currently unknown. We expect an official statement from Britannia's government regarding the situation will be made shortly. In the meantime, the Witch Council had no comment when asked by our staff to confirm the Aurora Bomb detonation. RNN will continue to update everyone when new information becomes available.
  22. Ohayōgozaimasu! Welcome to the Rokkenjima News Report for January 12, 2020 here on RNN! I'm your host, Clair Vaux Bernardus. It's been ten months since our last broadcast, so I'd like to welcome back all our viewers and thank you for watching! I stated in our last episode that the Rokkenjima News Report would be reserved for major events occurring in our nation, and we have two major events to discuss with you today! To begin, we're happy to report that Rokkenjima now belongs to a different alliance affiliation on Orbis. On December 8th of last year, Rokkenjima ended its affiliation with Polaris which began on June 7, 2016 and lasted 1,280 days. As of December 9, 2019, Rokkenjima is now affiliated with The Commonwealth alliance. With this change, the Witch Council has declared their intention to reestablish Rokkenjima's Orbis branch, which leads me into my next topic. This just in, Rokkenjima has declared war on former ally The Holy Britannian Empire as a part of The Commonwealth's campaign against The Black Knights. The Witch Council has decided it would like to claim the islands of Japan for Rokkenjima once again, which is currently occupied by Britannia under the name "Area 11." The Witch Council wants to make it clear that there are no hard feelings between the two governments, also stating that this conflict should be the perfect way to relieve both parties of their boredom. Rokkenjima kicked off the fighting with the first airstrike of the conflict shortly after the declaration of war. Rokkenjima's forces lost 158 aircraft, while managing to destroy 300 Britannian aircraft. Rokkenjima looks forward to meeting Britannia on the battlefield. No hard feelings, right? Hehe~ That is all for this episode of the Rokkenjima News Report here on RNN. Until next time, ja ne!
  23. The wonder of the world is gone, I know for sure.

All the wonder that I want I found in her.

As the whole becomes a part I strike to burn.

    And no flame returns.

  24. As a member of Coalition B, I can say that the current awards are nothing more than a circlejerk between the major alliances on our side. Every year, it's the same. "@everyone, be sure to vote for X members/alliances so we can win!" It's made the yearly awards a joke, and I'm sure others agree with me when I say I don't care about them. It seems like alliances such as NPO and GOONS are wholeheartedly defending the current system because it's seemingly the only thing they're good at organizing and coming together for, basically guaranteeing their side the win every year. Their members will blindly vote for whomever their leadership tells them to without thinking about who actually deserves it. You can try to deny this is the case, but you're not fooling anybody. I've seen it myself year after year. The current system is a joke and needs to be improved upon if there is to ever be any credibility to these awards. I guarantee you if the situation was reversed, and Coalition A members were dominating the awards, it would be Coalition B alliances trying to devise a new system. You have the other side trying to work with you to create a fair voting system, but are shutting them down because things went your way this year. It's pretty sad. @hope and everyone else, this is a great suggestion and I agree with it 100%. I appreciate the effort even if no one else on my side does.
