  1. Pretty sure your schadenfreudeia (that's a mouthful) does not check the forums.
  2. Not necessarily. Some of the feats of architecture are relatively new and still attract a lot of tourists. For instance, Bird's nest in Beijing and Chinawood in China. (that goes in favor of newer nations) The more industrialized and urbanized a nation is, the more polluted its environment (generally), thus more the damage to buildings made out of marble and materials that get affected by pollutants (say, acid rain). Therefore, more the cost of maintaining such monuments. (again goes against the bigger nations)
  3. Holding your cards close to your chest is the height of wisdom but it won't be the worst idea in the world to look at them yourself once in a while. Maybe then you will realize that they are not that good and you are !@#$ed.
  4. Viva la revolution!
  5. Congratulations and I hope to see you rise quickly!
  6. My understanding of the game mechanics is that color bonus depends on two factors: Total nations on a particular color (more the nations, higher the bonus) and total alliances present on that color. (more the alliances, lesser the bonus) 3 nations don't give much increase but one more alliance decreases the color bonus by a significant amount. That means at the moment your nation is getting around 3% bonus from orange color whereas it could get 5-6% approx if there was one less alliance*. An alliance jump to a better color might be the best economic choice you can ever make for your alliance. *Not very sure about the figures, haven't done the math. Anyone who feels like correcting me, please don't unless you have a more appealing number : P
  7. Good luck on getting your alliance back on the right track. That said, I don't like that you are damaging the orange color bonus with your 3 member group
  8. Welcome to the game Aphelion. You might not remember but we used to play pn together in Rose. I was known as Socrates then. Glad to have you here
  9. Nation Name: Alpha Hercules Alliance Name: The Seven Kingdoms Credit References: (Anyone who can vouch for your reliability) CMDR_Adama (Aquinas) Guarantor(s): (Nation(s) or Alliance(s)) CMDR_Adama (Aquinas) Daily After-Cost Revenue: (We reserve the right to ask for a screenshot of your Revenue page) Nearly 350k per day Did Someone Refer You To Us? If so, Who: Nope Amount you would like to borrow: 2 million What Is Your Investment Plan: (this is not mandatory, but a sound investment plan will make your loan appear less risky to the Bank): I want to get all my cities to 1000 infra. I, Alpha Hercules, agree to the following if I choose to accept a loan from the Cirrus Bank: -Pay all interest associated -Repay the principal -Act in good faith to repay all my debts and refrain from misrepresenting my intentions or history. I also give the Cirrus Bank, or whoever may hold my debt in the future, the right to reclaim my debt through the use of force. I agree to inform any alliance I may join while holding this debt of this arrangement.
  10. Referring members of PW community as "Orbs" sounds a bit awkward to me. Every time the image of a real orb pops up in my head.
  11. Got enough steel deals for now so I am not going to do it for a while. The other two options, I am still open to. Contact me if you are interested.
  12. I have seen the term Orbisian being used by one or two people here and I kinda like it.
  13. I am of the same opinion but I don't think it is something Sheepy should announce in changelog. It has to come from within.
  14. Both are respectable banking institutions and are used by players, hence both of them count.
  15. NEED GASOLINE. 1 unit of aluminium for every 1.5 units of Gasoline. That is, 100 aluminium for every 150 gasoline. Other offers...
  16. "Your spy attack against alliance X has succeeded." Alliance X: "We have been spied by someone" All that alliance X has to do now is make a list of alliances which could have spied on it (like an alliance which has a higher spy count than it, if it is based on total spy count). Then it has to narrow it down to one or two alliances. Easily done when you consider factors like military buildup and your past history with suspected attackers. After that it can just confirm its intel. Or even if it does not, a smart alliance would start preparing by now. I don't really see how this is better than than the beiging tactic. That's all.
  17. Merry Christmas to you too, Reagan.
  18. Did not work on my opera min running on symbian os. Other nation sims used to open up just fine. Works like a charm on my pc tho
