Odd Squad had a protection agreement with the Celestial Union. As part of the merger, that was carried over. Due to a lack of positive relations, we're terminating the relationship. Best luck to them moving forward

Arrgh raided us in December. They're back again. I'm not happy about this, we're trying to finalize the merger and settle everyone in, and now Arrgh went ahead and starts taking pot shots at us. Enough is enough. I reached out seeking peace, and was told by Jacob he wants some escalation. Okay, let's escalate. Cobalt hereby recognizes that Arrgh has declared war on us. If anyone has some spare steel they care to share in our fight to eradicate the pests of Orbis, please reach out!

I love alliance announcements, and I think they could be even more useful if instead of the older announcements falling off, so to speak, there could be a "next" page at the bottom or top or whatever, similar to the inbox.

In the flag listings, I'd love to be able to easily see which flags on my list are an option because I donated and which are on because my alliance donated for them.

If all goes as I anticipate, there will be no reason to add us to any war trackers for a very long time.

Odd Squad and Cobalt have been friends from day 1, and this is just the natural progression of the relationship. I'm not seeking to escalate or create any tensions. If you honestly feel like threatening us is the proper tack, then I guess that's what has to happen. I was truly hoping to stay out of the Rose/Mensa pissing contest.

1. Hush yourself and stop pestering my member with something you have zilch info about, and 2. Read on. Cobalt is the successor to OS. OS conducted raids on TKR, which were met by raids. Unless I'm missing something, a raid met by a raid is considered adequate punishment, and that's resolved. Now, as for speculating who's entering what war, you could, you know, just ask... I don't know how many of you remember Cobalt's transparency record back before I took my vacation, but I'm on IRC and I do have a message inbox as well.

I'm pleased and incredibly happy to announce that Odd Squad, our long standing ally and close friend, is merging into Cobalt. Objective #16: Join an Alliance So I'm already happily in an alliance, which means I cannot complete (or progress past) this one. Can you make it so if you're already in an alliance, you just automatically get that one?

It has been speculation for some time now, especially from those who are more attuned to our alliance and its workings. Starting in September, I begin gradually shifting the authority and responsibilities for managing Cobalt to Betulius. I have long held the firm belief that you should not lead an alliance in these worlds for more than one year. Doing so, I feel, leads to stagnation and a tendency to take for granted that which you ought not. Last month I informed my members that effective November 3, 2015 (a week and a day after our one year anniversary) I would be stepping down as the leader of Cobalt. By creating a two-month transition period, I strongly believed, and still do, that we would be better prepared to face the coming challenges that would arise upon my stepping down. At this point, I want to give Betulius ample opportunity to get to know everyone in the community more directly (and as the heir apparent), ensuring that the final few weeks of transition prove fruitful. For that reason, I'm posting this up and informing the entire global community: Effective November 3, 2015, I will be stepping down as the Potentate of the Clique, and I have named Betulius as my successor, the next Potentate of the Clique. This should also explain our recent slips in rankings: several members have decided they were unhappy with the change in leadership, and chose instead to go off and form their own alliance. I don't begrudge them, they have to do what they feel is best for them. I should also state that I have no plans to resign from Cobalt. I am merely stepping down as the leader, and will remain on as an advisor of sorts, should Betulius and the members wish to have me.

I wish. With the amount of messages I've gotten, I gotta disagree with you.

Since this is going around, I suppose I need to clear something up. Allilee sent a message to blue alliances threatening them. He shouldn't have done so, and I take full responsibility for not proof reading his message before it went out. Cobalt is not planning to roll any blue alliances, and there has never been a plan for us to do so. The farthest it ever got was me having conversations with gov as a possible option and feeling out my friends and allies. Obviously everyone (except Mensa) both inside and outside of my alliance said it was a really bad idea, so we aren't doing it. Full disclosure, I did try and hire Arrgh, but I was drunk and they didn't take me seriously (Warpool is extremely smart like that). If there are any other rumors flying around, like I'm the Devil's spawn, please let me know! Well actually, my dad is a lesser demon... or was it he's battling demons...
