I bought a flag for a credit or something way back when, but 4 credits for a name change or alliance flag or a song? To me it is just a waste of time and money. In my honest opinion they should be free like in Nation States. You buy VIP, then you can freely do these things. (NS is totally free but that is besides the point) I will never buy credits simply because they are utterly useless to me. If all these things came with VIP for 1-2 credit per month I would probably buy it. You can scream all you want "This just isn't going to happen." But if Sheepy wants to make money he should read these and take them into consideration. Maybe also in VIP make players able to switch templates like traditional PnW white or new ones like Black or something, like you have with the forums. Nationstates also does this. What I'm saying is making it that you have to pay to edit your nation is just annoying and personally encourages me to just ignore them. You should have the ability to customize these things but everyone should be able to do that. If you want to make money, make the ability to do these things rely on VIP, as it is right now, I could care less about credit and VIP and anything really like that. The ability to change my NAME, GOVERNMENT (Classification), Motto, Currency, National Animal, Demonym, Custom Flag, Religion, Banners, ect. TOTALLY FREE. PnW, offers name change, custom flags, for what? 20$ and even more. 20$ each pretty much! I'm sorry Sheepy but personally I think it is a complete waste. FOR IMPROVEMENT: I got this by donating to NS: Site Supporter! No advertisements (my theme is "dark" which was free by the way) Something NS charges for is the ability to mass recruit for your region, here are the prices: 1$ for 1000 stamps; most regions only have say 600 members anyways. if you want to increase profits, you have to offer the things you do now as a VIP only item and for the most part FREE. I used to play a game called SimCountry that charged money, that game pretty much died to to the fact that they micro charged you for everything after your "level" one playthrough and you had to buy every "level" afterwards. I got tired of that game very fast. I don't like paying for stupid changes that honestly should be free. If you want MY money you should make changes worth it honestly and what you offer currently certainty is not. So again, you should make these things free like Ansom suggested and focus on awesome new additions to the game (like Zombie war type) that can be apart of the VIP package. Think about it for a second, if every Halloween there was this huge Zombie war (or equivalent type of massive event) and you had to be apart of VIP to participate, people would be jelly. you could even add "awards" for completing these events. (Like Fraggle Rock first nuke award) These events don't need to be only on special days either and are just an example to increase interest in VIP. In Nationstates the zombie invasion does nothing to your nation and is only for fun. Everyone can die but it just resets the next day and I assure you that almost EVERY region that was relevant in NS participated in this event and it got a lot of positive feedback.
