I bring this grorious treat from the MENSA forum.

 

Using this: http://nuclearsecrecy.com/nukemap/ or this: http://nuclearsecrecy.com/nukemap3d/ and drop a nuke on your hometown, or current place of residence, or whatever the !@#$ you want.

Make sure to turn on the casualty calculator and post your results. Tell us the bomb you used too.

I'll go first, and I'll go big.

100 MT (100,000 KT) is virtually impossible to build, since it costs a bloody amount of money, and the only bomb ever designed on that scale is the Tsar Bomba. Good luck on finding 100 of these nukes.

 

Simply using 100-400 KT nukes are a lot more practical, since they cost far less to make while bombing more. You don't need to directly blast them with one massive bomb; why not settle with ten smaller ones and let the radiation do its work? The U.S. still has a massive amount of M-80s, M-76s, and B-61s standing in its arsenal...and really, you only need one of those, four at most, to turn New York into a wasteland.
