Foxburo Citizens Demand Military Intervention In Gayden

A small group of protesters emerged in the city center of Vytal this evening following the media announcement from Gayden accusing Foxburo of possibly sending drones into Gayden. They are demanding military intervention in Gayden to stop the slaughter of protesters and rebel activists in the nation of Gayden.

How can we sit and condemn Spyros actions to such extent but do nothing about it? People are being killed. Innocent people are being killed, and all Fox Fire is doing is a bunch of talk.

Said one protester.

Another protester we spoke to had this to say:

Well they said they shot down a drone and that it might be one of ours. If it is, then maybe it's a sign that we are getting close to actually doing something about it. But the longer we wait, the more people are being killed.

So far, Fox Fire and the government have stated no desire to become militarily involved in Gayden and have dismissed accusations of drones as propaganda dished out by Spyros regime.

During a public announcement Premier Fox Fire addressed the issue saying:

The recent events that have been unfolding in Gayden are very unfortunate. Chancellor Spyros actions, and blatant killing of protesters are the actions of a regime desperately trying to hold on to power against the better interest of it's own people. The recent false accusations of Foxburo drones being shot down, clearly propaganda by Spyros regime, make this more personal. However, military intervention in Gayden in not an option on our table. Such an intervention would be against the well being of our own nation as well as our allies. I understand the outrage when people are being killed, but let me make this clear, we do not have the military capability of facing Gayden alone. Attempting to do so would be in violation of Socialist International policy. We will not be intervening militarily in Gayden. Unfortunate events like this happen in the world, but it is not our job to enforce our idea of morality on others. We currently have much more important issues within our own nation that require attention. Like the recent collapse of the lead mines in Swords and recovery mission.

We are doing what we can to limit the finances of Chancellor Spyro and his ability to wage war on his own people, but again, we will not be militarily intervening in Gayden.

So far, the group of protesters seems small, with little support. Fox Fire seems to be quite firm on her stance against military intervention. As events unfold, only time and Foxburo Journal can tell what will happen.
