Statement of Rights and Responsibilities

Article I - Preamble

The purpose of this document is to provide a written statement declaring the state of government of the Supreme Gentlemen, hereby known as TSG, and to express the rights and responsibilities granted by our great Alliance. It shall make known the laws by which we, and all others under our protection and guidance, should abide by to ensure the principles of the alliance may be embraced by all nations. TSG stands to uphold this doctrine and the laws we set down to promote the safe expansion and growth of all nations under its vast cloak, including those of our allies, extending, but not limited, to financial, military and diplomatic aid.

TSG will uphold the right of all nations to govern as they please as long as they are within the remits of the Alliance Law.

Article II - Membership

II.A - Requirements

TSG do not require a formal set of skills to be applicable to join, stating simply that only true gentlemen may join, and may do so of their own volition. We recommend all joining nation-states have the national colour of black to ensure the maximal economic growth.

II.B - Applications

All applications are to be handled by the Gentleman of Recruitment, with aid from the Supreme Gentleman and other Gentlemen of Office should the need arise.

II.C - Expulsions

Expulsions from TSG will only occur in very rare occasions where the Nation member in question has proven to be of a most dastardly sort and has resorted to acts of dishonor towards fellow Gentleman or to those allied with TSG.

These inglorious acts include but are not limited to the following:

  • Declarations of War against fellow gentlemen or allies.

  • Unreasonable declarations of war. (Such as declarations against alliances with which TSG have NAP’s or treaties.

  • Espionage on behalf of rival alliances.

  • Conspiracy to commit deceitful acts upon a member state.

  • etc.

All cases of expulsion will be trialled by the Gentleman Whip held in discussion amongst their fellow Gentlemen.

Our dapper gentleman leader has not got any specific duties as such, but may take on the role of another position in office, or aid other GOO's in their field as he can interact with all aspects of the Alliance. This is the only position that is not up for regular election. The only time and election for this position will take place would be if the current Supreme Gentleman were to step down from his position.

The Gentleman Commanders role is to organise and direct the war effort. They will be in charge of running systems to optimise our military and would be in charge of the munitions programs. During relative peace time (where the only wars are individual non-alliance wars) the GC's role would be to research war strategies to further our collective knowledge of warring and to run training programs for our more Militaristic members ensuring that any individual wars are being commencing in guidance with the Military Policy. During alliance wide wars the GC organises our armies and runs the armament programs and ensure victory.

They are responsible for reporting on corrupt or suspicious members so that action can be taken against them if necessary. They lead The Supreme Court and along with the other GOO's make decisions on what actions to take against members who have acted dishonorably and brought shame to TSG.

III.C - Elections

Elections for positions of Office are held every month allowing for the voice of the member states to make an impact on the running of government. The process is run as follows;

  1. 1 week prior to the end of the month an announcement is to be released asking for candidates for the forthcoming election.

  2. 2 days prior to the end of the month any candidate who put themselves forward for a position in office is voted upon by all member states should they wish to attend the election. This allows a 48 hour voting period.

  3. On the 1st of the month the results are given and the elected winners take on their roles as Gentlemen of Office.

Should there be no new candidate for a position to current Gentleman of Office continues in their position until the next election. The only office not applicable for election is that of the Supreme Gentleman.

III.C.i - Absence & Resignation

In the event of a GOO resigning or having a prolonged unexplained absence the position will be filled by the Supreme Gentleman until the next election.

Should the Supreme Gentleman resign from office his designated heir will take control of the alliance assuming all responsibilities.

III.C.ii - Election Rights

All members of TSG have the right to run for positions of Office.

Any member who is discovered to be defrauding the election system shall be forwarded to the Gentleman Whip for judgement.

III.C.iii - Impeachment

If a GOO is found to be neglecting their duties or committing dishonorable acts they may be impeached by the fellow gentlemen of office by unanimous decision. This process is held behind closed doors to ensure no dishonourable acts are committed in defiance.

The member states of TSG reserve all rights to retain a standing army with no restrictions of size or composition.

In the event of being attacked the incident must be reported immediately and the full force of TSG military might is authorised unless stated otherwise by the Supreme Gentleman, the Gentleman Commander or the Gentleman of the Exterior.

Members states are allowed to commence wars on who they see fit as long as there are no standing treaties or NAP’s in place. It is also recommended that guidance be sought prior to starting wars against powerful alliances.

You're no longer protecting the II? We have still teamed with II and TAC (and others) to rival The Covenants. This is getting complex.

#FA_Problems

Big problems for TSG. Really, not kidding.

If Casey and Cyradis are King and Queen does that mean they're married?

This here is going to get you in a lot of trouble.

If you read closely you would have seen it said "guidance be sought" and there is a motto that I commonly use and that is if you need to ask than the answer is no.

Also you noticing that means you read the whole the thing.  Why?  I didn't even do that. Jesus man what do you do in your spare time.

I just skimmed over it and wanted to point it out. Why did I want to point it out? Because I genuinely don't think it's a policy that will benefit you in the long-term. Why do I think that? Because people are !@#$s and no doubt there will be some jerk-off member of your alliance, if not now in the future, who will try to use that against you when you tell them to stop raiding people who can kick your !@#$. It's just something I've experienced in the past and on other planets. That's why we still don't have a charter, and when we do, it will be pretty bare-bones. I'm a big fan flexibility in alliance policy to do what needs to be done.
