John Smith is on the ground. What can you tell us, John?" -- Yes, well an OE source has just confirmed that this joint scheme is indeed true. This marks a significant step forward in Hungadadadian-Thunderan relations after Hungadada unfairly cut said relations as part of the failed EU project. This event also marks a new era of security and cooperation between our two great nations. Personally, I hope that our national relations blossom to never before seen heights; as today, it has begun. Over 70 fishermen from the Fishermen Alliance (FA) have reportedly been taken hostage, by a group calling itself the Anti-Hungadada Movement. There has been no official statement yet, and it appears that the hostage takers are getting impatient with witnesses saying they are firing weapons into the sea." At approximately 15:54 this afternoon, pirates affiliated with the AHM (Anti Hungadada Movement) terrorist organization took 76 fishermen hostage. Around 200 heavily armed pirates swarmed the fishing group. They surrounded the fishing boats, moving everyone onto the main pirate vessel. Negotiators from the DSDH and HIS are currently communicating with these pirates for the safe release of the fishermen. The situation is extremely volatile. The pirates have demanded that I resign and hand myself to the AHM. They have also demanded $100,000,000 in cash. I will make it clear now that I will not resign. The army, air force, and navy are observing the situation. We will continue to monitor the situation. I vow today that I will make sure that all 76 fishermen come back alive. Now, an anonymous source from within the DSDH has told us that 3 special forces detachments are also on standby at North Bridge Airbase. We have a spokesperson from HIS on the line: HNS REPORTER: Hello sir. What can you tell us about the situation currently? SPOKESPERSON: Good afternoon. Well, as the Emperor has mentioned already, the situation is very volatile. Our best teams are working to defuse the situation as we speak, and we are talking with the pirates involved in this situation. HNS REPORTER: Alright. We have our cameraman asking if there is any threat to the mainland, or to any of the Hungadadian island territories? SPOKESPERSON: I can confirm right now, that is there is absolutley no indication of threats to the mainland, or any of our island territories. HNS REPORTER: Will any military action be taken? SPOKESPERSON: I cannot comment on that. However, Hungadada maintains an incredible dislike for pirates or anyone affiliated with pirates. Rest assured, when they are arrested, these pirates will be given the maximum sentence possible. The navy is currently monitoring the sea situation, and the Hungadadada Coast Guard Service (HCGS) is protecting a buffer zone around the situation. Thank you. France has also Denied The Dutch request to station special forces in Northern France. France's territorial integrity shall not be infringed upon, nor shall it be tampered with. Our waters will be protected and used according to French law, not International or other Government Law. Thundera is honored to be working with the Hungadada government to secure both of our coastal and aerial interest and hopes for the safe return of the 76 fishermen. Major security alert for Hungadada and other European nations. In a shocking twist of events, Hungadadian Special Forces teams Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie raided the pirate vessel and rescued all 76 fishermen, with no deaths. 12 fishermen were injured, although their injuries ranged from bruises to a few scratches. All pirates were arrested as well, and transferred to IHNS Royal Sovereignty. HIS and the DSDH is interrorgating all suspects, including the 207 pirates. Chillingly, the "leader" of these pirates has said that the AHM has the capability to manufacture both types of Cobra, the new strain and the old strain. He has said that AHM sympathisers will be using Cobra on governments and cities across Europe. Several raids have taken place all over Hungadada, with over 30 people arrested. Cobra was found at the 5 sites where raids took place. The "leader" has also said that the pirate fleet is not finished and that they are "just getting started". HIS OFFICIAL STATEMENT HIS and the DSDH are doing their best to migate the threat. As a security precaution, all critical buildings are on lockdown, and extra security has been deployed to transportation areas, and to large public spaces. The Hungadada Warning Level is 5 out of 5. HIS is aware of threats against all governments in Europe, and will be sharing this information with those affected. Currently, HIS recommends that all nations raise their threat warning levels significantly, and boost security at public places. We also recommend having disaster response teams on standby. HIS is releasing the DSDH file on Chemical Cobra, so that governments across Orbis can be informed.
