At 07 21 2016, 01:49pm  the Calondian military has effectively won the war, Polands ground army had been completely destroyed by our vanguard. The air campaign had destroyed tons of military and civilian infrastructure, with the naval launch of landing ships at 07 22 2016 04:38am and starting a naval blockade the situation in Poland is looking like a decisive victory. After the troops landed and established a foothold in the region both at 01:49 pm and at 07 22 2016 09:16 pm; the high command looked at the situation and planned their assault.

 

"We will go into Poland, loot their country, bring back our treasure to great Calondia! We don't need to occupy their land and get involved in a useless ground war with partisan movements." claimed the naval officer who wrote the entire invasion plan. "By achieving a limited victory, we can get all the loot and benefits without dealing with any of the political and military fallout from occupying this backwater country. It is a win-win! Well except for Poland, but you can't help everybody."

 

"Frankly, that doesn't go far enough!" argues the military aide-de-camp General Ella Dodinas while flexing her muscles. "The government must instill pride in the Calondian military at every opportunity. The national anthem should be played over public loudspeakers. Flags and propaganda posters need to be on every street corner. We can even place subliminal messages in movies, music, and art. Oh, and we can have big military parades in major cities. Nothing says "Glory to Calondia" like the display of raw military might!"

 

"Maybe if the people saw the government doing something good for a change, they would feel differently in the next elections," suggests Daniel Hernandez, who is not even really supposed to be in this meeting. "All I see on the news are issues about government scandals, partisan blowhards insulting each other, or some military official threatening more war with the GMR. No wonder our citizens think this country is a disgrace. The government could tone down the craziness and say oh, I don't know, help out the victims of our conflict in Poland or enact some policies to help end homelessness at home. Who knows, maybe people will be proud to call themselves Calondians once again?"

 

After constant arguments the government decided to adopt plan one with modifications from plan two; after the government had won victory, the military would play the Calondian national anthem across Warsaw, have the military parade across the streets, while the military looted the country and stashed Polands resources on their ships to return home to Calondia.

 

By 07 23 2016 08:21pm, the ground military had pincer attacked Poland from the east and west, coming up from the south and eastern shore. The airforce had been bombing Poland during the entire assault helping establish Calondian superiority. By 07 25 2016 06:41pm, the war was decided and Calondia had finished loading up much of Polands resources onto our ships to prepare for extraction. The airforce covered our withdraw from the area by bombing civilian and military holdouts but this was not before the huge Calondian military parade that saw our military off and allowed our soldiers to revel in the streets and have fun taking loot for themselves.

 

Flags and propaganda posters were put up and flown everywhere so that all citizens of Poland could see the greatness of Calondia and the awesome military reach of our country. No nation on Orbis could not claim that the invasion was just; we have strengthened Calondia and capitalism, and weakened terrible communism. A victory for the world.
