There has been a lot of talk regarding hyper inflation of resources, largely since RPC. While some metrics are skewed based on how many of those resources fall into inactive nations, market values are dropping which shows the production of many resources is outpacing uses. Some changes have been considered for addressing this imbalance. Please provide feedback, thanks.

    POWER PLANT INCREASES
Oil and Coal increased from 1.2 tons per day -> 2.0 tons per day
Nuclear 1.2 tons per day -> 2.4 tons per day

    REFINEMENT INCREASES
OLD: 3 tons of oil -> 6 tons of gas
NEW: 4 tons of oil -> 6 tons of gas

OLD: 3 tons of iron and coal -> 9 tons of steel
NEW: 3.5 tons of iron and coal -> 9 tons of steel

OLD: 3 tons of bauxite -> 9 tons of aluminum
NEW: 4 tons of bauxite -> 9 tons of aluminum

OLD: 6 tons of lead -> 18 tons of munitions
NEW: 8 tons of lead -> 18 tons of munitions

    RAW RESOURCE REFINEMENT
Food no longer has bonus to production for having more farms.

    RESOURCES USED FOR CITIES
Starting after C20, every city requires 100 iron, bauxite, lead, steel, aluminum. This increases by 100 for each city until C30, after C30 it increases by 200. After C40 it increases by 300. After C50 it increases by 400. Cities above C20 are reduced by 2.5% for cash Cities above C40 are also discounted by another 2.5% (5% total). Any current discounts to city production does not impact resources, only cash costs.

    Examples:
    C21 Costs 100 Iron/Baux/Lead/Steel/Alum in addition to $
    C25 Costs 500 Iron/Baux/Lead/Steel/Alum in addition to $
    C30 Costs 1000 Iron/Baux/Lead/Steel/Alum in addition to $
    C35 Costs 2000 Iron/Baux/Lead/Steel/Alum in addition to $
    C40 Costs 3000 Iron/Baux/Lead/Steel/Alum in addition to $
    C45 Costs 4500 Iron/Baux/Lead/Steel/Alum in addition to $

    FOOD CONSUMPTION
    Formula Change: (basePop)^2/125m + ((basePop) * (age modifier) - basePop)/850

The red line is the new formula, black is the current.  We were looking at some other options as you'll see an orange and green line as well. I'll let members of the team who took a deep dive into the formula provide some more information.

Pre, what the game needs from you is actual numbers.

You and the dev team should look at production levels prior to this last global, and tell us exactly what effects this would've had on production at that time.

Scratch that. Misread the question. The defending party gets the beige from expiration wars, the winner is considered to be the attacking party. Nothing's currently changing to the looting/infra destruction win mechanic. If someone gets beige, they are considered the loser of the war. If someone doesn't get beige they are considered the winner of the war for these mechanics.

    I'm confused a bit...

so are you saying for infra/loot expired wars remain the same as they are now? or are you saying that if I declare a war and let it expire the defender gets beige as the "loser" and I get loot as the "winner"

These are not bugs. These are merely surprise features, like Kinder-eggs or lootboxes.

On a serious note, I agree 100%. The fact that things have gotten this worse imo only shows with how little regard the community of this game are viewed. We're heading down a CN like path, with neglect by the admins.

I find it funny how Alex's old code was less buggy than this. How can a feature that worked flawlessly in the past break so suddenly? Revert to the old system, the one that worked

Krampus, Kinder-eggs will not be understood by our American friends. That is an illegal substance in their country.

But in all seriousness, bug fixes should honestly take priority over some of the newer features being proposed and brought in. It would go a long way for QoL to not have to worry about something going wrong every time you want to declare wars. Or the server all but breaking on DC's even after initial blitzes.

Manitoba South: https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=166562 -- declared 5 wars, of which 1 was force-peaced. The force-peaced defender had max ships. Ground suicided in two war, launched 8 missiles over the span of 4 days in the other two. So, falls in the same category as Tappin, USNAR, and Santa Cruz.

To be fair, I think the people in that category have every right to appeal their strikes, and I can't say with 100% certainty they entered those wars planning to do nothing the entire war, although there is evidence to disprove if that was the case. Regardless, even ignoring those wars, there are still tons of examples showing tS especially planned on declaring wars with no attacks whatsoever and solely the intention to get beiged.

Alex has agreed to reverse his decision in my war (still waiting on him to do so), because he made the moderation decision earlier than he should've.

Now whether or not people agree with this model of slot filling decisions, this is not how its been done in previous Globals, and Alex has once again made a decision to moderate in a way that goes against how the game has been played historically in the middle of an ongoing war. If he wants to change the way he's interpreting his own rules, he should do that outside of a global and give clear indications of his intentions.

It's worth noting that this might end up slightly skewed (selection bias?) since the people who enjoy interacting with the community the most are the ones going on the forums anyway.

Similarly, anyone who is on pnw because of time sunk into it is unlikely to be on the forums.

What I would suggest is @robertsshould send out an in-game DM to every player to get a proper response.
