  1. We've been "chastised" by many alliances by countering spy-ops against us. The change is not in favor of our members but as a means to better relations with these top alliances.
  2. TLDR; The Coven changes things for clarity and aims to better game relations. This post is only to act as a reference for future public interactions. Thank you to the leaders and alliance heads that have spoken to me over the past 2 weeks offering me their advice. The Coven has discussed your suggestions and we've decided to implement some as a means to help clarify, delegate and better support our allies. The purpose of this post is to be transparent about these changes and to act as a reference to avoid any miscommunications. Foreign Affairs 1.) The Coven will be conducting FA in embassies ONLY. This not only applies to standard treaty requests/issue with counters etc. but also applies to War Week discussions, Protectorate requests and Vassal Assistance (please see #3). Any discussions in DMs will NOT be seen as official FA business. Different alliances use and see DMs differently. As such a discussion with Alliance A using "foul language" could be seen as threatening or aggressive to Alliance B. By only having these discussions in a space with multiple insights we aim to avoid having these perceptions roll out of hand into an issue or FA debacle. 2.) The Coven's FA team has been split into a Macro and Micro FA team. The Macro FA team does not have a say in Micro Affair discussions and the Micro FA team does not have a say in Macro Affair discussions. Once again this is because different alliance require different approaches to foreign affairs. As such the more "temperamental" government won't cause any issues or scenes with top alliances. 3.) We'll be changing our Protectorate Program, "The Circle", to have protectorates and vassals. Protectorates are alliances that no longer need hands on oversight from The Coven and are free to manage relations with others and handle their own affairs. Vassals are alliances that either have fresh leaders or inadequate government and will have required oversight to better protect their membership. We're committing to this change as some of our former protectorates thought we were "overbearing" while others had little knowledge of our resources except for our countering ability. We hope this distinction will help future allies understand our involvement with them beforehand rather than an appearance of "overlord" later down the road. Military Affairs 1.) The Coven is removing it's policy of countering spy-operations that target to gather intelligence or assassinate spies. Spy operations that targets infra or military will still be seen as an attack on the member nation. If a nation is caught spy-wiping or gathering intelligence we hope that the host alliance take charge and punish the member. The hope is to move away from the idea of an overly aggressive alliance where we act as judge jury and executioner. 2.) The Coven will begin to accept requests from raiders to hit inactive applicants (1 month+ inactivity). If a raider hits an applicant without requesting first regardless of activity they are subject to being countered. The Aurora conflict started because Borealis members complained and spammed us for being countered after hitting an inactive applicant. We hope that the implementation of this new rule will avoid those issues with other alliances. For questions or more information please feel free to join our FA server and make a ticket.   3. YES!!! Finally someone that understands what good additions to the game are. My issue is you have a project that takes $3k worth of Item A and converts it into $5K worth of Item B. Let's fix that by adding what this game is desperately missing, a resource sink. Example: New Category - Government/Facilities All Buildings Require Power Library (3 Max) - Reduces Disease & Crime by 1% Upkeep 3 Lead/Day (for the pencils) 3 Oil/Day (For the night oil) Transfer Station (1 Max) - Keeps your City powered for 3 turns if you accidentally run out of fuel Upkeep - 4 Oil/Day / 4 Iron/Day (only during use) City Park (3 Max) - Each Park adds an additional 200 Land to each city. Upkeep - X Food/Day 5 Coal/Day 5 Bauxite/Day Senate (1 Max) - Reduces the cost of all Non Government/Facility Improvements by 25% Upkeep - 150 Food/Day 5 of each Resource/Day
  4. TLDR for these projects: 1.) ITC wasn't good enough for the whales at 125% commerce. So suffer a 15% penalty on all those sweet farms you have to get an extra 9% commerce. 2.) We don't know how to add proper resource sinks so here's a project and a gold star for it. 3.) As long as you aren't a sheltered RP player please enjoy a free C30. 4.) Spend $400m so you get a slightly larger chance to get proof that Rose is stat-padding spy kills on you.

After 99942 Apophis was called in to defend Aurora/Borealis, The Hive, Legion of Dawn, Convent of Atom & Company from they sheer overwhelming force of The Coven it was only a matter of time before even 99A was unable to keep the witches at bay. It seems that I have failed in keeping to my word as a leader and as a reporter in staying out and away from hegemonies. The Coven has turned into one so strong that now Cataclysm, Mayhem and Bourbon Street have come to defend 99A who have defended Aurora. The Coven declares war on The Coven to protect it's totally legitimate linking allies. With the power of all these great alliances and The Coven we shall defeat The Coven!
  6. TL;DW/R - The Coven declares war on Aurora/Borealis The Coven recognizes hostilities from all Midgard participants I tried. I opened up to gov of Aurora like Xi and Pepper to try and put grudges and issues behind us. Issues between Aurora and The Coven constantly arose, from issues between Western Republic and The Coven, to issues between Roman Empire and The Coven. Each time we did what we could in FA, we discussed things and tried to find amicable solutions. Only thing we found however was jokes. With the recent attacks of Borealis on members of The Coven from spy-ops to bad counters to daily raids of our members we couldn't allow alliances, no matter how big or small, to continue to treat us like a play thing. Upon trying, one final time to reach a proper and amicable solution, Borealis member decided to continue to send attacks, spy-ops and more on members of The Coven, including the creation of their own "Bully Alan" award. We're done. I'd say the adage of "Shame on me" applies here. However after the 7th "Fool me" it's no longer about what Aurora/Borealis does. It's a lack of action on our behalf. We acknowledge that this is a slaughter. We wish to see how long, however, these parties are willing to take it. We've taken abuse from them for months. Time to repay the favor.
  7. Why not make the timer 0 for all cities? What's the point of having a timer at all? Why have it start at 15 instead of 20? 25? New players can buy credits for C10 and then have to actually learn how the game works. This doesn't add or change anything except making it easier for people to mass build during a war. My vote is "No".

Each of these "pop-up alliances" are being self funded by the multi and then, once the alliances are founded immediately deleting their cities to become C2 raiders. Funds are then being sent to an unknown nation via alliance bank transfers. The farm since the 26th has made about $310m not including the $550m from Hashibara clan and others.
