  1. What difference would it make if I said they were or if i said they weren't? You're not even a Muslim. Sigh, you never let me forget that I'm conversing with a child.
  2. Derailing the topic when you realised you lost? Interesting. Or maybe your inner fanboyism is deeply embarrassed about the non-stop begging coming from the Kurdish terrorists you so vehemently support? Come on, I'm waiting for you to address my previous post. ^
  3. Nobody represents Islam and the people in the Islamic State are Muslims, yes.
  4. Not sure what you mean: Islam is a religion and the Islamic State is a nation state founded upon Islam. If you want to know about Islam you should study the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
  5. Nobody gave Islamic State anything. They went in and took down a numerically & technologically superior foe i.e. the American trained and equipped Iraqi Army. The Kurdish terrorists on the other hand have been spoon-fed hundreds of millions worth of military equipment by the United Snakes and Europe despite the fact that they both consider the PKK to be a terrorist organisation and that the YPG is an OFFSHOOT of the PKK (different branch of the SAME TREE). Anyway, you would think that after all this support, plus the unlimited airstrikes at their disposal that these Kurdish terrorists would stop complaining but sadly that is never the case. Just turn on the TV and i promise you that every time you see a Kurdish terrorist or sympathiser on TV they are begging for more weapons and money.... In fact I challenge you to find one time where they are not begging... it's pretty pathetic. Raqqa isn't surrounded, Islamic State Mujahideen are still fighting the Iraqi Army in Ramadi, and the battle for Hasakah is still ongoing. The Islamic State has largely held on to the territory it captured for years now despite the powerful enemies arrayed against them so i would call it a winning war on their part, and everyone knows it. If the fight was only between the Vietcong and the Islamic State... the Vietcong won't be able to shoot down anything. Islamic State is also very adept at making long distance rockets, highly sophisticated IED's, and their own drones (only for reconnaissance at the moment). The thing about the Islamic State that sets them apart is their sheer adaptability to any theatre in the world. From the jungles of Nigeria, to the deserts of Egypt, to the mountains of Afghanistan.... Islamic State has 43 affiliates around the world and they have not only adapted to these environments but mastered them. I don't think the Vietcong would last more than a Year without out serious support in the from of carpet-bomb-airstrikes from the international community of tyrants.
  6. The Kurdish terrorists known as the YPG/PKK were being soundly defeated by small groups of Islamic State Mujahideen who took vast amounys territory from them in just WEEKS and were on the verge of completely capturing Ayn Al Islam or "Kobane" before the American led coalition came to the aid of the Kurdish terrorists and carpet bombed positions held by the Islamic State Mujahideen (killing tens of thousands of Kurdish civilians in the process and destroying vital infrastructure). This was Ayn Al Islam or "Kobane" before and after the American led coalitions air-strikes: This is what dealing minor tactical setbacks to the Islamic State looks like: Superpowers have to intervene and completely destroy the town/city. Now residents in Ayn Al Islam or "Kobane" are forced to travel to Al-Raqqah (The capital of the Islamic State) in order to receive medical care: Source.
  7. Rozalia - It would help if you would actually go and do some research for once. 1. Islamic State existed as "Al Qaeda in Iraq" when hundreds of thousands of American ground troops were occupying Iraq and they could not defeat AQI. 2. Islamic State is currently fighting a winning war against both the Syrian and Iraqi armies SIMULTANEOUSLY, not to mention every single armed rebel faction in Syria, as well as various well armed Shia Death Squads funded by Iran, and Kurdish terrorists like the YPG and PKK.... all this whilst being bombed from the air by hundreds of modern aircraft's and being hunted by intelligence services/special forces from dozens of countries. 3. Islamic State is highly experienced in fighting forces motivated by "nationalism" and has come out on the winning side of that fight every time. The only chance the Vietcong would have of delaying imminent and swift destruction at the hands of the Islamic State would be if outside superpowers came in to support them.
  8. Vietcong stood their ground against the USA and Islamic State Mujahideen have stood their ground against a 60+ coalition of countries (including the United Snakes of America). Vietcong mastered Irregular warfare and Islamic State Mujahideen mastered Hybrid warfare (conventional warfare, irregular warfare and cyberwarfare). Vietcong would lose even if the fight was happening in Vietnam... especially if it's was a one on one fight.
  9. 1. The absurdity of an 'infinite regress of causes'. If the cause of the universe had a cause, then we'd be forced to ask: What caused the cause that caused the cause that caused the Universe? (Ad infinitum) And we wouldn't have a universe in which to ask such questions in the first place. For example, Imagine you're in the front of a queue to purchase the latest iPhone and behind you is an infinite number of people wishing to do the same but before you're allowed to make your purchase, you have to ask permission from the person behind you, and that person has to ask the person behind them to give you permission ad infinitum... are you ever going to be able to purchase the phone even if everyone that is asked gives you permission? No, because you would have to wait an infinite amount of time. 2. Occam’s razor. In philosophical terms this rational principle enjoins that we do not multiply entities beyond necessity. Meaning: We should stick to explanations that do not create more questions than it answers. In the context of the cause for the universe: Only one, uncaused, cause is required. It's been scientifically proven that our universe came into existence. There is no doubt among scientists that this universe in which we live is the aftermath of the emergence and expansion of space-time, which occurred approximately 13.82 billion years ago. “If we extrapolate this prediction to its extreme, we reach a point when all distances in the universe have shrunk to zero. An initial cosmological singularity therefore forms a past temporal extremity to the universe. We cannot continue physical reasoning, or even the concept of spacetime, through such an extremity. For this reason most cosmologists think of the initial singularity as the beginning of the universe. On this view the big bang represents the creation event; the creation not only of all the matter and energy in the universe, but also of spacetime itself.†(Physicist, P. C. W. Davies) “…the discovery of the century, in cosmology at least, was without doubt the dramatic discovery made by Hubble, and confirmed by Einstein’s equations, that the Universe is not eternal, static, and unchanging.†(Astrophysicist, John Gribbin) ----------------------------------------------------- I'm only responding because your entire 'rebuttal' to this argument has been to ask a load of cheap questions in order to (I assume) try and overwhelm your opponent.
  10. True: I've watched his videos and visited his website when i was first learning about the argument.
  11. Lannan, I applaud your tremendous effort but the Kalam Cosmological Argument was fully articulated by Muslim scholars long before modern day defenders of the argument (like William Lane Craig) were even born.
  12. I was talking about the Hadith regarding the revelation of that verse. The man was mocking the Mujahideen fighting Jihad for the sake of Allah (and hence was mocking Allah and his Messenger). Another Muslim man who heard him immediately made takfir against him by calling him a "hypocrite" (a disbeliever pretending to be Muslim). The Prophet (saw) told the one who was mocking/joking to not make any excuses for himself and also made takfir against him. This was narrated by Ibn Jareer in his Tafseer (10/172) with a jayyid isnaad via Hishaam ibn Sa’d from Zayd ibn Aslam from ‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Umar, who said: “During the campaign of Tabook, a man said in a gathering, ‘We have never seen any people who love their stomachs more or tell more lies or are more cowardly in battle than these Quran-readers.’ Another man who was present said, ‘You are lying, and you are a hypocrite. I will most certainly tell the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about this'. He conveyed that to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and Quran was revealed.’†Then ‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Umar said: “I saw him hanging on to the saddle-bag of the camel of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), stumbling on the rocks and saying, ‘O Messenger of Allah, we were only talking idly and joking!’ and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was saying, ‘Was it at Allah, and His Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and His Messenger that you were mocking? Make no excuse; you disbelieved after you had believed!’†[source]
  13. Yes, many times, and so did the companions of the Prophet (saw) who were with him. Once a Muslim joked about other Muslims fighting Jihad for the sake of Allah and the Prophet (saw) said to him:"Was it at Allah, and His Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and His Messenger that you were mocking? Make no excuse; you disbelieved after you had believedâ€.
  14. More than Two million Sunnis civilians were killed by America and western allies in Iraq alone: 1. Million+ (including half a million children) died as a direct result of the 1990 American led sanctions on Iraq. 2. Million+ died as a result of the American led 2003 invasion of Iraq. More than a million Sunni civilians were killed by America and western allies in Afghanistan. This is not to mention impoverished Muslim countries like Yemen, Somalia, Libya, etc were thousands of Sunni civilians have also been killed by American airstrikes and were many vital infrastructure have been destroyed that's very hard to rebuild. If you have time to do some reading i would strongly suggest reading this article. Calling them "EXTREMIST" Muslims in an attempt to dehumanise them is a PSYOP tactic favoured by the mainstream media and it's wholly untrue. They are typical insurgents who happen to be Muslim and happen to be fighting against Western/Russian Imperialism. Nothing they do is particularly out of the ordinary for an insurgent group. Just look at the tactics employed by the Atheist Viet Cong: They also used suicide bombers and carried out beheadings. They were only able to inflict a humiliating defeat on the American trained Iraqi Army due to the support of the local Sunni civilian population who were being massacred every day by the American puppet Shia Iraqi Government with the blessing from the white house. Fall of Mosul to the Islamic State: Iraqi Army had 30,000 troops in the city (Two divisions, with security forces outnumbering attackers by more than 15-to-1). Islamic State Mujahideen had 800-1300 troops (no heavy weapons or armoured vehicles). More than 2,500 Iraqi troops killed, 2,300 Humvees and the city taken by IS (along with many other weapons/vehicles/money). The view of all Muslims is that the Shia are not Muslim and any Muslim who says the Shia are Muslim is himself not a Muslim, so how can they claim anything? Islam is a religion: I think you meant to say "Muslims"? Muslims don't fight each other and they are not aggressive people but they do defend themselves.
  15. If I take all my wealth and lay it out on the street...... can I reasonably expect to get it back if i come back 24 hours later? If it's stolen, do I have any share of the responsibility or is it all on the grubby little thief's who stole everything i owned in the world? We have to stop appealing to emotions and think logically: 1. Men are naturally attracted to Women's bodies. 2. Women who display their body put themselves in far greater danger by exposing themselves to & tempting would-be criminals. Just because you and I don't happen to be rapists or a thieves doesn't mean that's true about everybody and i think it's very callous to tell women they shouldn't take precautions when doing so would greatly reduce their risk of being raped.
  16. I BEG TO DIFFER! A woman that's naked on the street is 100000000000% more likely to be raped than a women walking around wearing a Burqa. This is fact and your emotionally charged yet fatally-flawed dribble won't change that. ------------------------ If I leave my car keys on top of my car and leave the car door wide open... my car's more likely to get stolen than if I closed the door and took my keys with me.
  17. You can read the Quran cover to cover and you will not find much about the prophet Muhammad (saw) because it's the words of Allah (swt) but yet the Quran itself is instructing you to obey the Messenger and to refer back to him in times of dispute. All this is pointing to the Hadith and following the Sunnah of the Prophet (saw); it's a clear cut matter that is not open to dispute.
  18. The Quran says you need the Hadith: "Say, [O Muhammad], "If you should love Allah , then follow me, [so] Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." (Quran 3:31) How are you going to follow the Prophet (saw) if you reject Sahih Hadith? "But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Muhammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort from what you have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission." (Quran 4:64) Allah also says, "There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allah often." (Al-Qur'an 33:21) I can continue quoting verses but really it's very clear.
  19. How to put an end to rape? 1. Enforce a law where all women must dress modestly and ban alcohol = Crime prevention. 2. Death penalty for rapists = Deterrence. You all know this is the ultimate solution.
  20. "This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion." (Quran 5:3) "And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can alter His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing." (Quran 6:115) Yes.
  21. It's not a red herring. He was responding to CV's post: I agree with everything except the Nazi Germany part and you're simply nitpicking.
  22. I'm not a teacher and you are not my student's. I will answer what i choose to answer and you're just going to have to deal with it.
  23. Nit picking. Captain_vietnam is seldom ever 100% accurate in his posts.
