We hardly call what we did with Mensa fighting, we did not declare on Mensa nor did they declare on us officially. They started raiding the bloc yes, and do you expect us to sit there get attacked and do nothing? We then cut ties, almost immediately when Mensa attacked us, but had planned to continue fighting mensa in order to honor our agreements with the bloc, but we knew that Mensa would get bored with that rather quickly, and we had kept in contact with the rest of the remaining bloc trying to help them in other ways, while we accepted peace from Mensa. What we were planning to do next, whether regrouping and holding true to our word, or claiming neutral and ducking it out will always be unknown, as We didn't even have anytime after cutting ties with upn to deliberate on what to do next because ten hours after we cut ties, saru attacked me, which was retaliated on relatively quickly. Sure, we may lose against upn, as many of our member are mid-low tiers and they now have about 130 mid-low tier nations? But we are confident overall upn will be the ultimate loser. While we may be a micro, we are not a micro that is willing to be walked over.

Its called strategy. They basically did what upn, "oh we have heard that they are going to attack so we should attack first," only they didn't fail miserably. I don't really see a point in arguing about it. It happened, it was to be expected by anyone with a general sense of the politics of the game, time to move on to the best of your ability. However, I think your alliance is getting preferential treatment due to the mouth on your leader. But I could be wrong.

I never said you never aided us. I said you never provided the aid you promised. Why should we ask you for something that we were informed would be coming in two weeks on multiple accounts? And you did not save us at our most vulnerable. We saved ourselves at our most vulnerable, because maybe you don't realize, but that is right now. You told us not to worry ourselves with preparing for a war. And Mensa is a much bigger threat then cobalt. We are at our most vulnerable BECAUSE of upn.

The aid was never asked for because we were growing fine without it. We weren't pressed on it. Its a matter of principle that you promised things then didn't come through. You have loaned us five million to pay cobalt and sold us 5000 steel for 1 ppu. That's after nearly two months after your protection. And anything to prove otherwise is incorrect but I could show screenshots of ole promising us the aid? And please don't lecture us on how we handle things when you are finding yourselves in the predicament you are in.

As I recall, when we signed the protectorate with upn not only were we promised aid multiple times that never came, but I remember it being you specifically who said that if we were to come under attack on your account that we'd be well taken care of, here we are having been attacked on your account. We don't expect money from you though, we see you have your hands full....just don't expect us to pay back something we never agreed to pay back in the first place when time and time you broke your word by repeatedly promising promises you could not keep. I never asked you to sell me the steel for no charge. I asked you for a price reduction on it. You chose to give it to us for free.

Thx max, and also everyone else who had good things to say about V.I 90% of our members were brand new to the game upon joining us, and I myself am impressed by not only the growth of them all, but the team work they've demonstrated with one another since joining. I am also very glad to say that I've had the pleasure of getting to know them all and look forward to continuing to help them improve. I am aware that they still have much to learn as do I, but in time I think we will be okay.

I informed all leaders of salus as soon as I heard of the pending attacks. Wasnt expecting mensa though. However, it's hard for a micro alliance to really prepare properly especially when market prices are so high. We only produce so much and we only make so much money. I knew this was going to blow over to us at some point so I had started preparing our members almost immediately. Slapped down a building ban (that came Tuesday so was probably a little late but lessons learned.) As I said though only so much we can do with so little time to prepare.
